🛑 Don’t get fooled by how the cakes look from the window. “Tradition” here means that the cake 🍰 recipes haven’t been changed in the last decades. You get a thick dry sponge cake 🧽 layer beneath a fatty buttery greasy cream, regardless of which cake you choose. If you want the taste of the 1950’s when butter and sugar was the ultimate luxury and you don’t expect anything other from a cake than to be sweet then this is the place for you. If you are looking for a quality cake shop with fruity, chocolatey cakes that taste good than go somewhere else. Very disappointing.

The cakes are presented beautifully!!! A great deal to choose from too. 🎂 🥮 🍥 🥞 🧁 🍰 Costs less if you get it take away. The building is very nice. You can only pay by card if you are spending over 10€. Very nice raspberry cake and slice. I did have some pictures, but google maps keeps saying the photos don't follow policy - which they most certainly do - so you get a review without photos...sorry!

People growing up in göttingen know that this is the best place for cakes/„Torten“ The specialty baumkuchen is super tasty but also the other cakes are worth a try. Further they have a nice breakfast and other things such as pralines or jam. Perfect if you need to buy a little present for someone to bring from Göttingen.

Very nice general atmosphere both ground floor (with all chocolate and cakes exposition) and first floor rooms for sitting and enjoying. Slightly pricey maybe.

The place is nice and cozzy. Beatiful view and very friendly stuff. The cake and the coffe tasted very normal. I expected more for that price. But I would love to revist it to try somthing else and enjoy the view

Good chocolates, overly sweet cakes and very rude staff. I don't know if it's a racism issue but the staff are always rude to varying degrees.

Just had a cappucino with a friend who I have not seen in years. It was absolutely delightful. The cappucinos were very well made, the atmosphere was bright with positive energy. I would definitely return for coffee or something to eat with friends or family.

Every time I have visited this patisserie over the last 50 years, I have never been disappointed. As a resident of Canada, meeting with local friends has always included the Cron & Lanz. The cakes high quality standards have been maintained as has the service.

I've been given as present a wood box with chocolate pralines. Wunderbar, sehr gut. Many compliments.

Up from 15 euros you can use card and it might charge you 1.5 euros Waitresses were not so patient Try every cake that you can they were all excellent They have a terraza on the second floor, explore it if you want to Coffee latte 3.6 euros, definitely the most expensive one in gottingen but not bad
