We very much enjoyed our Afternoon Tea in the hotel lobby with excellent service by Andreas and Lisa. They went above and beyond to make the afternoon special. The pastry chef is a true talent. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Complimentary champagne on arrival was unexpected. Your concierge was superb over our 2-night stay. Was quite surprised / disappointed that there was not a dedicated movie channel on your TV in the room. When it was suggested that people connect Netflix to the TV from their phone on laptop, we needed someone to show us how to do this - they could not do it, so it left me feeling pretty upset. Otherwise comfort, service, atmosphere etc was sensational

I found my favourite hotel in Munich! And it is not only about the beautiful design, spacious room, amazing food, and comfortable beds. But the friendly team, their positivity, wish to help and their genuine smile. I can truly say that Lisa, Max, Federico, Hugo, Zino and all the other colleagues made my stay very special.

Good service and quality food is not necessary anymore, it seems. We were treated very unfriendly by some of the waiters. The Piña Colada tasted like a cheap and way too sweet alcohol mixture, the ones you‘d get a headache from after a party. We‘ve come here before but never was the experience so disappointing as yesterday. We loved the great view from the terrace, as always, but even that was a bit disappointing, as now there are flower bouquets and pink plastic flamingos unnecessarily blocking the view.

The view from the rooftop bar is one of the best in Munich. The food was good but partial cold. The stuff is young and hip, but the service is suffering.

Specially during the pandemic the Mandarin Oriental in Munich did an outstanding job to make us feel safe and comfortable. From the welcoming at the front door to the delicious dining ins everything was picture perfect. Customer service beyond imagination.thanks for making our stay so wonderful.

Lovely hotel, interior and rooms were stellar. Well done to the house keeping team for keeping it so spotless and comfortable. Room facilities were classy and updated. Staff members were also friendly and welcoming. I was quite sad to find out when I arrived that the pool had been closed for the season. I would like to make a comment regarding the breakfast service. As I am severely lactose intolerant, I often have to rely on allergen labels to decide on what to eat. I noticed that in the breakfast buffet the bread and pastries did not have the correct allergy labels which made me lose confidence in the allergen labels (e.g. no milk sign for the butter croissants). I had to ask the wait staff regarding this but they offered me gluten free bread instead. I also tried to order an item on the breakfast menu (poached egg Choo Chee), but was advised against it by the wait staff as they think it contains milk. I am lucky not to have an allergy to milk but I hope you can understand how confusing it can be when the food labels are unreliable. However, I was touched when on the third day of breakfast at MO, I was offered lactose free yogurt which they had purchased for me and I really appreciate their efforts to make my stay enjoyable. After the first breakfast, I did use the Whatsapp service to contact the management team regarding this. However, it took them a while to reply and they informed me that they would continue to follow up the next day - which they didn't reply on WhatsApp. In addition, I would like to comment about the gym and sauna facilities which in itself are great. However, the location of it in between the toilets on the ground floor are a bit awkward. I prefer to exercise and use the spa at the night time, which correlates to when the bar is at its busiest time. This meant that I was walking around (drunk) people going the toilet in the background of heavy bass music whilst trying to get to the gym & sauna.

5-Star hotel for sure. Amazing location and super nice-friendly staff. Luxurious, super-modern, clean accommodations with attention to every detail. Small hiccups, but everyone was very attentive and made it a memorable experience. Hope to return to this location.

Almost everything was great, it was all nice but very expensive. We got a room with a construction in the view. We had no view since there was a huge block under construction. The hotel did not let us know about the construction obstructing the view and we should’ve received a warning. It was near the main area of city, dining in the hotel was expensive and you can get cheaper restaurants in walking distance. Its a nice hotel but it could always improve.

I am normally a cheap hotel and hostel type of girl but I picked this hotel because they had bath tubs. And I ended up really treating myself to a great experience. The concierge is wonderful. The room was beautiful. I had a great view and there were little unexpected perks. Like a great mini bar and heated bathroom floors.

We had a super nice room. The facilities are in excellent condition. The decoration is outstanding. Service was good but fall short of the high expectations I had for such a hotel. The food is really good. Service is also good but, they seem to forget that drink orders are part of the service. I’d also wish it was easier to speak other languages than German. You always find someone who speaks English or French and they try, yet it is a heavily German hotel.

One of the best hotels we have stayed. The staffs were very friendly and lovely. The room was comfortable and clean. The pillows were soft and the bed was comfortable. I really enjoyed the room temperature upon arrival. Usually the rooms are cold in hotel rooms and I have to adjust it. But this room was exactly how I enjoy. The only thing that bothered us a bit was the noise from the rooftop. The afternoon tea was also amazing.

We spent an amazing time over the Christmas period at Mandarin Oriental Munich. Thank you Roberta for making our stay unforgettable-professional service from the beginning till the end. She was very friendly and we had a really warm welcome. The room we were staying was just fabulous- so spacious with high ceiling, such an attractive feature. Breakfast was also delicious with a variety of options at a fancy Restaurant. Great location just few minutes walk from all Christmas markets and main streets. We will definitely come back again. The hotel is just perfect! The location is fantastic , amazing rooftop bar, beautiful rooms, the employees are extremely friendly and helpful, a hospitality service at its best! The restaurant and the food are great. There is nothing that isn't top notch with this property.

The room was very nice I loved the attention to detail and the technology provided, and the room service was also good, but the customer service was not the level I was expecting for mandarin oriental. During check in i saw other guests receiving wet towels and a welcome drink… and I didn’t get the same service. The woman at the front desk does not know how to do her job properly and needs training. We had an issue with one of the suites we had booked, the fridge was not working and my father’s diabetes medication went bad so we told them about the issue at the reception and told them we needed a replacement for the medication immediately, but the receptionist did not handle the situation properly she implied that we were lying and the fridge was working and that we should pay the cost of the new medication. The manager has already apologized to us for what has happened. But I think this was unacceptable and not a good representation of the customer service in a 5 star hotel like mandarin oriental.

Everything about my stay her was absolute perfection, from the second I walked in the doors! The receptionist was very knowledgeable about the hotel and city, she was able to provide some great recommendations. The concierge was also great and set us up for an amazing dinner our first night. It’s really noticeable how the staff and hotel goes the extra mile for their guests down to every last detail!

Beautiful hotel, room and layout. A little noisy at times from the beer hall below and rooftop bar. Poor pillows and hard mattress. Mini bar was not replenished one day and housekeeping staff seemed offended that I brought it to ther attention. I was surprised that for such an expensive room no welcome amenities were given. I would have expected a fruit plate, etc. The website should have warned about the construction out front.

Of course the location and physical hotel are incredible, but what really stood out was the people and the service. To the point where I was practically taking notes to bring back to my team at home on how we can better serve our patients.

It never hapened in my life to make reservetion to a 5 star hotel terace at 20:30to rooftop,to be on time,to stay here for 7 days and to tell us to go to the first floor becouse they don t care about my reservation,i didn t want to go becouse i had guest and they told me they are out of sushi,just to go out....

Location could have been better. Bad construction happening, very noisy in the morning, big hotel with only two elevators ! And no cigar lounge which is sad, breakfast needs a lot of work it's below par . The rooms are great , and the nobu restaurant is fantastic . Very friendly staff

Last Saturday for my Bday I had the Afternoon Tea . Loved it. The service is amazing and full of attention and care. Beautiful Interior that helps a lot while eating delicious small bites. The scones are ok though They could be improved 😊🙏. Hence the 4 stars ( sorry). I love love love scones hahaha:) Ps. Live Pianist from Friday to Sunday ( he was really good). Thank you :)

Very good service by reception, breakfast and valet/bellboy, liked the food in the Japanese restaurant (waiter was not trained), roof bar super unique for Munich with great vibe but food is not for my taste (good service). Great selection of drinks. Spa facility is small and comfortable. Very comfortable and luxurious room at junior suite although could use some more carpets for my taste for a more cozy feel. Overall a 9/10 and will be back if back in Munich.

I’m truly a fan of the MO! Right from when we pulled up in our car, the greeting we got from the bell hops, the front desk reception, the cold towels to cleanse right at check in, the beautiful room, the luxe appointments like the super big pillows and high end bathroom. The location was very central which made it easy for our family. It was our first time staying with you and it’s def not the last time. You are truly my favorite hotel chain.

Just a great place to stay in Munich. A really luxurious hotel, with amazing people. Its location is also very good, quite close to almost everything you want to see and do. Plus, a very nice restaurant (Nobu) with delicious breakfast too and a rooftop bar with nice views of the city.

Sorry to report we had a poor experience with our visit. Showed up to have a cocktail and see the property. Unfortunately the people running the lounge were not very nice. Saturday night 8/11/23 first told us we could have a table then changed it. Stated they had a reservation the manager was starting us up and down. We could feel an unfriendly vibe here. No one showed up for the reservation it wasn’t available for us! We are respectable hardworking visitors from San Fransisco. We visit the Mandarin Oriental in San Fransisco all the time. Very disappointing!

Great location near all of the action. Impeccable service and an awesome restaurant and rooftop bar. We have stayed at the Mandarin a number of time and have always enjoyed their service, the rooms and Munich. It’s near the English gardens and has a friendly and upscale vibe.

The hotel is modern and clean. It was overpriced during the October Fest, but I guess that’s how it is everywhere … I absolutely loved ordering the food and drinks on the ipad provided in the room. The construction site visible from our room was not very adorable.

We had an exceptional experience. The front desk, bell staff, and wait staff were amazing! They made our entire family feel special.

This was our sixth stay at the Munich Mandarin Oriental. The service, as always, was above expectations. This is a great location with its proximity to shopping, Old Town and Hoffbrauhaus. The location makes for easy walks to many fine restaurants and Marienplatz. As with any experience, problems can occur. The question becomes, how does a person handle those problems. We had a small leak that awoke us in our room about 1:00 AM. The staff were extremely helpful and gracious in how they handled the problem. We will be back again, hopefully soon.

Our stay at Mandarin Oriental in Munich was incredible! The staff was amazing and ensured that all our needs were taken care of. The location was perfect and there was nothing out of place in the hotel - my wife loved the fresh flowers throughout the lobby and entrance!

Since arriving the entrance, can already feel their amazing service. Been there so many times and still in love with. From the Bar, restaurant, meeting rooms and it’s roof top, never get disappointed. Thank you for the amazing time :)

We are utterly disgusted by the behaviour of the concierge of the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Munich and how the hotel treated us. We arrived late for a booked table at the restaurant, the waiter told us the table was given away because we were more than 15 minutes late when it was precisely 12 minutes. He then apologized and confirmed to us that they can prepare a table for us. We waited 15 minutes at the entrance during which he came back once and assured us that it is almost ready. Then suddenly Mr. Dario Cortellessa, the concierge of this 5-star hotel showed up. He did not introduce himself and greeted us as 'the guests who are late' and told us 'it's not possible to accommodate you as we have to prioritise hotel guests' without looking at us and while gesturing other guests into the restaurant. When asked about the table we have been waiting for 15 minutes he repeated that it is not possible and invited us to talk downstairs. Downstairs we told him that he was unpleasant and rude, to which he shockingly replied 'that is your opinion. You were being rude as well'. He suggested that we send an email to his own email address when we asked how to complain and we had to ask him 3 times to have his first and last name. Never was I treated so poorly in a hotel and restaurant!

Excellent service. Rooms are new and well decorated. Everything was exceptional.

My partner and I visited your beautiful hotel for sadly only one day. The hotel is nicely situated and in walk in distance from the shopping street and is surrounded by many great restaurants, which is a big plus. Mahjong and the Ory bar are two great outlets and a must visit whilst there. The rooms are beautiful and very modern yet very cozy. It is also very nice to see the sustainable initiatives the hotel undertakes to eliminate single use plastic. We were very warmly welcomed and looked after by the hotel staff and Gabriel the door man truly stood out to us. We wished we could have stayed a couple more days and we are looking already forward to our next stay with you! Thank you very much, und BIS BALD!

Amazing stay from start to finish. The Front Desk was busy when we arrived but they made sure to welcome us with warmth and sparkling water, which is always needed after an international flight. The breakfast was beautiful and a great way to start the day. The complimentary walking app made our stay, it helped us walk around the city with a guide but also allowed us to stop and shop (or drink!) if needed. Thank you to everyone.

I love everything about this hotel with its fantastic location, amazing rooftop bar, beautiful remodeled rooms, the employees from the moment you step food inside are beyond top notch. The restaurant is absolutely amazing as well. There is nothing that isn't top notch with this property. So happy I am returning in a few months.

My stay at MO Munich was simply perfect. All the staff was so attentive, from the bell captain to the front desk and concierge, as well as the housekeeping, room service. Only the service at breakfast time on Saturday morning that I felt they were struggling a bit, but I talked to the manager and it was all set. overall very very good, congratulations. outstanding: room facilities (my room 209, jr suite)

Fantastic hotel, with great rooms and overall product, very nice F&B. But most importantly, wonderful staff that will do whatever it takes to please you with smiles. Special mention to the Valet service, the lady that worked at the lounge for lunch and the Front Office team. The entire team in that hotel can make Munich very proud. I really enjoy my days at Mandarin Oriental Munich. It was an incredible experience, they made it very special. Excellent service and located in the best area. I am 100% satisfied and would recommend it to everyone.

everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Those working during the breakfast buffet hours went over and beyond even giving us hankies to go with our lederhosen and drindl.

Eva-Maria Erdle was amazing during our booking process. Alex in the Japanese restaurant provided some of the best service we had in Germany and possibly anywhere I have ever stayed. The entire staff during breakfast and in the hotel should be commended. They anticipated our every need and truly made us feel like celebrities.

I enjoyed my stay here immensely. The staff were all friendly, my room was spacious and elegant, and the service was top-notch. An excellent stay all around.

The hotel is beautiful as usual, the location fantastic, and seeing many familiar faces with the staff was very comforting. I have my entire family with me, and many of the staff members remember my boys since they were kids more than 15 years ago. I know the hotel suffers like many others in the hospitality industry. I have noticed a few minor instances where phones did not get answered and some technical issues in the room, but once brought to the attention at the front desk things got resolved immediately in the typical mandarin 1st class style. By far Mandarin is the best hotel group for 5 star luxury.

The Mandarin Oriental in Munich is a beautiful hotel. The staff is wonderful and the hotel is spotless. The rooms are large and the amenities are incredible.

i liked the hotel. i must point out the great staff. as always at Mandarin oriental they exceed every possible expectation. only comment is the location ot the hotel. it lacks the local color. is situated in the city centre but in an indifferent street. so view which for me generally is important is not something worth mentioning. would like something that relates the hotel with the centre. the concept of artwork related to the alps does by far not meet this.

Absolutely blown away by the generosity oft he staff at this property. Location cannot be beat, and will be even lovelier when the nearby construction is complete. Room was top tier. Multiple staffers came to work early to support our early morning departure- from the valet bring our car in an hour before he was meant to start work for the day, to the kitchen preparing us breakfast (including our coffee order!) it was a lovely departure, after an even lovelier stay! I can't wait to come back!

we enjoyed our stay in munich at your hotel very much . the only thing that was strange was that i had requested in advance of my arrival , a large bucket of ice to be placed outside my door every morning by 9 am . On the sunday it did not happen Maybe sunday is a rest day for the person who does this? but i was not informed. other than that , all requests were noted and overall service, cleanliness of room , decor were all wonderful. The gym was very nice as well.

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at , and we have stayed at mang Luxury brands. The service was impeccable, everyone went above and beyond. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, amazing views. And the food and service at Matsuhisa for dinner was so good too. Loved it and can't wait to come back to Munich .

Flawless customer service. Room was spotless and comfortable. All of the staff was helpful, courteous and delightful. Will stay with Mandarin every chance we get.

It was nice but not as good as I expected from the rating and the photos. The junior suite did not have a separate bedroom and seating area. It was quite small and only slightly larger than the deluxe room, with one additional sofa. Didn’t feel it was worth the charges. Staff was nice. There is only one Japanese restaurant. There is a bar. There is no compound and it’s on a very narrow street. There is some major construction going on and there was no nice view. It’s walking distance from the shopping area. The lounge and reception is quite small and had a cute small piano which I enjoyed playing.

It was an extraordinary experience. The hotel's location and facilities are absolutely awesome, plus the staff in Mandarin Oriental Munich are more than welcoming, helpful and thoughtful. They made our stay the perfect anniversary celebration!

We had an excellent stay at the MO Munich. Service was great, staff super kind, hotel was excellent, comfortable, clean, well located. We loved the lobby bar and especially the bar, where the mixologist/bartender was spectacular! Best French 75 I've ever had. We had dinner at Matsuhisa and it was excellent as well. The breakfast buffet we found to be somewhat limited. We didn't like that the cold cuts and cheese were not available to just take but needed to be ordered each time to an attendant. Otherwise, excellent stay!

I stayed at Mandarin Oriental Munich with my wife and we delighted every second there. Great team, Gabriele the porter was very friendly and Antonia from reception was very nice and attentive. The hotel is very close to the most important buildings in town. Definitely I would love to come back.

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Munich was superb starting with the warm greeting by Antonia at the front desk. Her efficiency checking us in and later providing guidance and recommendations for various errands about town. We thoroughly enjoyed the festive lounge with the lovely and fun Anna who took care of us and our guest throughout our stay. Anna went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her kind attentiveness was much appreciated. Finally, Dario assisted us with travel inquiries at the concierge desk and provided a few laughs along the way. It is the staff who make the Mandarin Oriental Munich such a delightful property in addition to the luxurious rooms and holiday decor. A speical treat was a St. Nicholas Christmas stocking on December 6th! Without a doubt, we will return to this excellent property in 2024.
