We had a blast. Even though we do not speak German that well, the guide made it work. The walks are short but steep, not to exhausting. The entire trip took around 2-2,5 hours with the 7 of us.

Me and my wife had a blast! She was a bit scared about safety going in, but after the training session she felt confident. Neither of us can fluently speak German, but everything went smoothly. Daniel was a great guide and incorporated a healthy balance of fun and safety. We highly recommend it if you're ever in the Black Forest.

I worked hard all year to build up stamina for this event which was one of the activities on our Adventures By Disney Rhine River cruise this month. I did it. Yet it was challenging for me; not the zip lining (though I ended up going backwards six out of the seven times), but the hiking up to the start and then between the last three or four lines. The line grew in length and height from the floor of the Nlack Forest each time. BUT I DID IT!! Great zip line guides who were both helpful and encouraging as many of us were over 60. My daughter and two grandkids (ages 14 and 12) also did this and equally enjoyed themselves. I got caught by the wind on line 7, and came to a slow stop about 20 feet from the end platform, and then slowly rolled back toward the middle (turns out that at the same time another from our group on line 6 also didn’t make it to the end). Our guides were terrific and came and got us. For me, she (yes, female, but I can’t remember her name) wrapped her legs around me, attached a carabiner to me, and hand-over-hand pulled me back to the platform. I would do this again in a heartbeat. But just know that our Disney guide said the hike was about a level 7. Enjoy!

Hirachgrund gave me a wonderful experience to remember!! There are 7 ziplines and they are very strategically built so that the person can get trained at every step and by the time you reach the last longest Zipline you forget the fear and actually enjoy the beautiful views!! Tobias was our guide and he explained everything in detail in English and in German. He was always there to answer our queries, made us very comfortable about the whole experience!! Also, Everything about it felt very safe. I would recommend this to anyone!! :) :)

Great tour, the guide was loving the job which made it a lot nicer. We got a thorough explanation about safety, there's 2 practices ziplines and then 5 big ones. Very nice to do! Tip: there is a little walking involved in the woods, the ground isn't always good, so bringing walking shoes is a good idea.

Jakob was a top notch guide. He has led at least 500 tours. He spoke great English and thoroughly demonstrated safe operation of safety equipment. He made us feel very safe. He gave very clear and detailed instructions. He was very professional and gave us opportunities to ask questions. He was very patient and had a great attitude and even through some physically intensive safety actions. The views and experience are made even more memorable by Jakob.

Has Carpark. Short 10 minutes walk up to the zip line training and trial lines. Great experience. The action is on no matter rain or shine.

Die Ruine is...
