Wonderful hotel in a quiet location on the edge of a forest yet close to the city. I am fortunate enough to stay here almost every two weeks and it's become my home from home. If you plan to or need to come to Stuttgart; stay here, it's superb and yet not stuffy, nor old fashioned just welcoming and comfortable!!

Hidden gem, nice hotel, very well kept and maintained. The rooms were perfect, the receptionists were nice, the restaurant was amazing, the buffet breakfast was fabulous, i am in love with this place. There was one small issue, the parking lot was full, I asked whereto parked my car, the receptionist said i can park in the garage, i asked if it is part of the hotel or extra charge, she said it is part of the hotel, then during the check out, i was charged 15 euros for the garage , 😂 anyway, I still like this place.

Overall the Waldhotel is a nice hotel that seems to cater to mostly a domestic crowd. The restaurant staff and amenities were clean and welcoming. The hotel is located in the woods near many athletic complexes that range from soccer fields, a rock climbing facility, an ice skating rink, an outdoor parkour and a children's playground. Consequently, the hotel has an upscale Olympic village feel. Our family of 4 stayed here during the summer while there was an excessive heat warning with temperatures over 34C. The proximity to the woods and shaded playgrounds made for a relatively pleasant stay. One incident tainted our experience however. We were returning from the playground and entered the lobby where there were free personal bottles of water. As our young children we're a bit hot from playing outside, we grabbed two bottles and started filling them into their child friendly water containers. The bottles were glass so we didn't want our 4 and 7 year olds running around the lobby with breakable glass bottles. As we were filling up the bottles a lady from the front desk walked over and said in a stern voice that water bottles are only for hotel guests in the lobby. Being a bit confused, we said that we were guests at this hotel. But she continued, that the bottles of water are not meant for refilling and walking away but for hotel guests staying in the lobby. We hadn't even left the lobby, so how would she know we weren't going to mull around the lobby? In fact we were going to cool off in the lobby with kids and then head right to the hotel restaurant. Had the bottles been plastic we would have not transferred them. As adults we didn't even grab any waters because we knew we'd be eating in the restaurant in a few minutes anyway. The whole thing was bizarre and another hotel guest who was about to grab a water himself seemed confused as well and opted not to grab a water, likely to avoid being publicly scolded like we had been. Best case scenario, the lady was anticipating us using their free water bottles as a water refilling station and wanted to put an end to it before it started but misread the situation in her zeal to make a point. Worst case she was stereotyping and racist, as we were simply dressed and clearly not German. Either way she made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as paying hotel guests. We've stayed at top resorts in Hawaii where it's quite common to have free water available due to the heat. They either leave it out for guests to use as they choose, or if they ration water, they explicitly offer water during checkout but don't leave it out. The hotel would be wise to follow this model vs. hotel staff publicly scolding guests, which in many cultures is the ultimate insult. Even though everybody else at the hotel was friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, one bad experience can taint an entire stay. So I'm not sure we would stay at this hotel again and would be hesitant to recommend the hotel to non-Germans. Having somebody with that sort of personality run the front desk is going to be a liability for the hotel and management should take a closer look at how they train their team members.

It is a very nice hotel with impeccable, clean and well accommodated room. The view from the balcony is very relaxing, plus the forest nearby is a real bonus ! The staff is very sweet, full of beautiful attentions for special occasions and aware of clients needs. Finally, the breakfast was very varied and qualitative.

Easy to reach by car or by U train. Nice and quiet location at the forest, greens all around and a few lil sport stadiums. Loved the restaurant on the beautiful terrace and I loved the quality room with a large balcony. Very good choices of wines in the menu. Quality soaps in the bathroom and 2 Schwarzwald beers in the fridge.

Wald hotel is a boutique hotel on the outskirts of Stuttgart. It might be a little further from the city, and that’s the charming part of it. The quiet and the serenity away from the city. The staffs are really pleasant and helpful. Although they have no elevator and our room is three flight up in room 502, the checkin counter help is to bring the luggage’s up. The breakfast is also pretty awesome. The chef could make regular sunny up and bacon better than any other places. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Perfect location to stay! Located outside the city in the woods with tons of hiking and activities around. The rooms are very pretty and offer all you could want including free beer and water. I loved the bar and the bar staff all super nice and chatty. We came here over Christmas and got to enjoy the Chefs tasting menu which was out of this world. Word of advice most everything is closed over the Holiday so this was a nice place with open bars and spa.

Great German breakfast with some flavors of america mixed in. The rooms were very clean and neat. The young bartender was fantastic. Great fresh local beer on tap. Open the window to enjoy the fresh air of your room is warm. Flip the comforter around for a sheet to adjust for comfort.

Excellent service (very friendly and helpful). Nicely appointed rooms surrounded by quiet green fields. Beautiful dining areas. Only drawback for some people is no supermarkets nearby; but only 400 meters to subway (U7) which takes 5 stops to city center. Two free beers in the minibar was a pleasant surprise!

Loved this hotel! We stayed at the Waldhotel for over a week and we felt just at home. Very organized, clean and friendly staff. The hotel provides a selection of pillows, adapters, etc. They will provide you with anything you need. The bartender is also amazing, he makes the best cocktails ever so make sure to check out the bar!

Very nice luxury hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The view from the room of the lush green courtyard and the forest was nice. The staff were friendly and the lobby offered flavored cold water and apples. We enjoyed the food in the bar and had dinner on the patio, which we favored the bar. The dinner on the patio was too pricey and the food was minimal, but the ambiance of outside eating was unique.

Pleasant Stuttgart hotel in quiet surroundings approximately 10 kilometres from Stuttgart Airport. Very welcoming reception team and good location for meetings and other receptions. Rear beer garden is relaxing and a great place for a cold German beer after a long day travelling!can recommend and plan to return sometime soon.
