Beautiful hotel in udawalawa. You can get campaign experience here. Situated in river bank. Rooms are clean but no A/C or Hot Water in tents. Foods are really good staff also helpful. You can arrange a safari jeep from the hotel if you willing to go udawalawa national park.

Rooms are tents with wooden roof, although bathroom is made with concrete. It was comfortable with hot water. Rooms are simple but very clean and you get the experience of sleeping "in the jungle". My room was next to the river so the view was quite pleasant. wifi only in the lobby. I also went on the safari proposed by the hotel and it was very nice with lots of elephants. Safari cars were quite comfortable

Located on the bank of Rakwana river in a picturesque location. Can access the river from the hotel with ease. A large number of birds can be seen within the premises. A really relaxing and quiet location. Rooms are nice with comfortable beds. Mosquito nets available. No A/C but with the fan available this was not a problem. The bathroom had hot water and toiletries. The only problem with the room is that the tent cannot be locked from either inside or outside. Though there was no issue with security during our stay, some might find this uncomfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Kithumini, Chalani, Vimukthi, Mahesh and Chanuka were very helpful and provided great service. The food is tasty. However, we felt that the buffet lacked a little bit of variety. The executive chef was friendly and also prepared special portions from some dishes for our kid who had a pineapple allergy. The hotel also has a safari service to Udawalawe national park which can be arranged with a separate fee. Overall, this property provides good value for money.

Very efficient, Clean, cool concept. We liked to great Pools and the Pool bar in particular. Food was nothing special but still very good. The Safari they Advertise was wonderful and reasonably priced. Would recommend it for anyone looking for Western standard.

Food is good, staff welcoming. Facilities are new (some stuff still being build but not noisy). Shower have only fresh water(good pressure), which is great considering how hot Sri Lanka is. Bed are ok, with Mosquito net, although there's not much of it. Considering the quality of hotel so far, it's a five star rating, i really like the fact it's tent and not concrete building (usually of average quality).

Our first impression about this place was very good. It has a terrific pool and the camping is surrounded by lovely nature. The tents are big enough only without air-conditioning (of course) so be prepared for some sweaty nights. Mattresses are thin as well. The same evening after we got here and enjoyed swimming the (probably) owner came to us with the bad news that we had to transfer the next day to another hotel because there was a big group coming. We had booked this place more than two months before arrival and where forced to go to another place. We where not the only unhappy people, there where some others who had to leave as well.

Recently spent 2 days in this camp site. Beautiful location since it is very close to a National park. Indulged in bird watching, animal spotting and enjoyed the stillness of the river flowing close to the campsite. Ideal for a short trip with family. Your children will really enjoy the whole atmosphere, comforts in the room and enjoy authentic Srilankan food.

Amazing location! Glamping on steroids. I love to camp, but this was amazing. We even saw a snake right in front of our tent/bungalow. The food was great, the lights on the site were beautiful. Cool to stay for one or two nights.

Excellent for a glamping experience. U can have a river bath and enjoy in the pool as well. We had the dinner at the river edge. Rooms are clean and we had a good time there. Ideal place to relax with your kids.

Some rooms have a boiler for hot water, not all of them. Very peaceful and nice experience. Two pools for swimming. 30 min drive from the national park

Nature pure. You can hear your neighbor in the open toilet. Food very below average. All people walk by 1m from my tent and look inside. Only cold water.

We spent 3 nights here with the kids. The tents overlookong the river will be a life long lovely memory. I thought I would freak out because of the noises at night, but never slept better. Loved watching the monkey and paradise birds go by from the porch of the tent. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. The cuisine is amazing and they cared for the kids too. Don't miss it if visiting the area.

A wonderful palace to have the perfect mix of indoor camping experience for those who don't want to spend the night at the mercy of the wilderness. The staff is friendly and the food is great. If you want tougher drinks, staff will take care of that as well. I love the place and have visited them a couple of times.

We were really excited to be visiting Udawalawe National Park and Athgira had many glowing reviews and seemed the obvious choice. The team were friendly and helpful which was great. I'm afraid to say that the standard of accomodation was very poor. We had paid for a better tent by the river as we're on honeymoon. We were in room 1 and the toilet barely worked, the tent was mouldy throughout, the bed sheets were dirty, the fly net had been tied together where there were holes and in fact one hole had been stuck shut with a plaster (lovely). It's a humid area but this was bad and can't have been the case in all of the other tents because the reviews continue to be positive?! Cold showers were ok but most fixtures and fittings were damaged or broken. The final nail in the coffin was the banging music on both nights of our stay. The first from within Athgira and the second from across the river. I appreciate the second was out of their control. The redeeming light was the safari which was amazing. Our guide (Tudi) was friendly and knowledgeable and we saw loads of wildlife. If you're looking for something a bit different then go for it but I would only have stayed one night had I known what the accomodation was like. It's definitely not luxury camping. Thank you to the team though for being so friendly. Happy Christmas!

My absolute favourite place I stayed on this trip. The rooms/tents are to an incredible standard and hearing the noise of the river close by was so relaxing. The staff were attentive and the food was incredible! I wish I could have stayed longer.

Wow what can we say?! This place is amazing. Stayed 2 nights with our family of 5. Clean and comfortable tents (rooms), AMAZING hospitable staff who go above and beyond in every way to ensure your stay is comfortable, enjoyable, memorable and tasty. The chef is outstanding and so considerate- tailoring to meet your needs. His food is the best we had in Sri Lanka. There is a friendly and helpful naturalist on staff who is informative, hospitable, helpful and runs tours complimentary (though tips Iโ€™m sure are welcome). All of the staff go above and beyond to help in every way imaginable and are so great with children. Thanks for such a memorable stay! Highly recommend!

The tents are beautiful, river loaction lovely. But there was no hot water and the sheets dont fit the bed, so you end up sleeping on the mattress (no mattress protector). I had to ask for our room to be made up, unacceptable at that price! The pool is lovely and has a bar but was painful trying to actually order a drink from it. We booked our safari through them and saw heaps of animals but our driver was more interested in his new cell phone than providing any information. We were told upon check-in that we could pay for everything via credit card but when we went to do so they told us we had to pay for our safari with cash. Abit annoying when your so far away from an ATM. This place has the potential to be excellent but a few things definitely let it down.

Very unique experience. You have the feeling of being in the jungle. The tents are comfortabe. The staff is very helpful and professional. The food is very good. I did not have high expectations before coming here but after spending 3 days here, it was one of our best accomodation in Srรญ Lanka. We were here with kids. They also enjoyed staying here. The pool is superb. The food is delicious. The camp is marvellous.
