best place to witness the famous demodara railway loop. You can see 8-10 Km distance of train track from hear. Beautiful surroundings add more value to your trip. We firstly went to demodara railway station & took a tuk tuk to go to the view point. It is better if you can go @ train arrival times.Its a sharp narrow road all the way up & recommended 4wheel drive. Nearly 10km drive from demodara station but realy worth to visit. Best way is from tuk tuk.”sajee” who took us to the top is not only a tuk tuk driver but also explained the history behind the railway loop & also he supported us to plan our ella trip. Anyone who wish to see the railway loop should meet him @demodara railway station.

Great view point. Don’t miss this chance. We found 4x4 team in Demodara railway station. For up and down they charge Rs 5,500 per vehicle and for 10 people. Road are not much difficult. But don’t go with low ground clearance vehicle. Very clear view. In there you can see railway loop, Punagala mountain range, Ella rock, Little adams peak and Namunukuna mountain. Make sure to check train operating time before go. Then you can view the this loop works..

A really good view point and the owner of the land is very good in explaining the details about the important places around.

Well worth seeing there is a new cafe about to be opened with toilet. It’s on the left hand side as you enter the signage could be better hopefully they make one when the cafe opens in a few days. Google maps was very helpful!!

The shop owner is super friendly, if need be can camp here or can arrange mattress by talking to him, great views, chilled out place with hammock...

This place is a Hidden gem in Ella. You can enjoy Namunukula, Ella rock to Haputhale lipton seat from this place. Also, the best thing is you can see Demodara railway loop as it is. Also you can enjoy a wonderful cup of tea from a nice guy around here. Don’t forget to visit this place if you come to Ella

Awesome place to visit. You could see the Loop clearly with a beautiful view. You could reach only by a Threewheeler. A person called Rukshan is there who does speak English (Manageable). He does camping too.
