Blackpool is located in a small town known as "Spring Velley" at Badulla. Once you arrived to Spring Velley town from Badulla, there is a road to left side, which is also road to Rupawahini repeater towers. Take that road about one kilometer and you will find a concrete road to left side. Keep the Kovil as a landmark, so it won't be difficult to find the exact location from Spring Velley town. The place is calm and quite and the water is not polluted and very cool. There is a little shop between the road, but make sure to bring all necessary stuffs. Please do not ruin this beautiful place by throwing garbages here and there as it already polluted by some uneducated local people.

We ready and got a bus to badulla town Then take our lunch parcel because some Of people says there no good Hotel in spring velly any way we got parcel. And take spring velly bus it's very small bus but to much fun with my friends then located gps to black pool and travel start ... we down from bus junction. walk along road until show a Kovil at that then you show home left side you can show a small rock and stone path to up go throw home has small shop you can buy some thing.. be attention about leach most in rain days. then you can show such a beautiful place in front you.pure clean and glass type water. you can bath in soil side don't go black area that too much depth and it a good place to take small relax. enjoy ....

It’s a good place to visit. You can reach there by spring valley bus. Don’t try to swim there. It’s too deep. But you can enjoy bathing just beyond the pond. Ask someone lives in the village. They will show you a suitable place to swim. Finally, do not litter up the place.

This is a good place to enjoy the nature. Very calm and quiet environment with a beautiful view. But, it's bit risky to go alone and have a bath. Please be careful if you are going to bathe here.

There is nothing to see and nothing to enjoy Its just a small pond under the little mountain. This is note suitable for visit with family. There is many wasp around there. If you go with your family then you will get a worst experience. We got to much bitten by wasp.

I like the black pool but 3 stars because we did not get to bath in it and a drunken man annoyed us

Best place to bath clear cold water from namunukula mountain range❤ one side of pool is very deep ,then not very safe make sure to ask about villegers before bathing . Very nice and cool environment . There some shops near the pool you can buy tubes .
