The
experience
begins
with
abundant
parking
for
your
car.
It
continues
with
an
easy
check-in
with
the
host/hostess
showing
you
to
your
room.
It
continues
with
the
charming
little
bierstube
with
a
selection
of
several
beers
on-tap.
And
it
finishes
with
a
very
capable
kitchen
serving
a
wide
variety
of
tasty
German
classics.
All
the
essentials
are
there:
parking,
WiFi,
breakfast
with
made-to-order
eggs,
and
clean
and
comfortable
room.
Lots
of
attention
to
detail
and
there's
very
little
that
goes
missing
here.
Germans
are
reserved
but
they
warm
up
quickly
when
you
make
the
effort.
The
courtyard,
we
learned,
was
surrounded
by
plants
of
many
varieties
(each
labeled)
grown
by
the
owner
who
once
actively
exhibited
his
plants
at
shows.
We
noticed
business
people
and
vacationers
staying
at
the
hotel
-
it
seems
to
be
a
valued
and
trusted
home-away-from-home
for
those
who've
been
there
before.
Of
the
six
hotels
we've
stayed
at
on
this
trip
this
one
is
our
favorite
-
by
a
long
shot.
We
will
return
to
Hotel
Mennicken
if
ever
we
return
to
the
Aachen
area.
