This is my second time visiting I Pupi and i must say the menu was implacable! I was so happy to see the raw fish or crudo di mare is still on the menu (each piece paired with aromatizzato oil and unique salt). To my surprise i found the fermented funnel dish with fish and white sauce super unique (i personally never eat funnel but my god this dish was magical!). Another big surprise is the open ravioli pasta with the ragù of rabbit and the brodo of lobster ( to die for)... the rest of the dishes are just as delightful as you can see in the photos. The waiters are very polite and the paired wine are excellent worse every penny. The chef was extremely cute!!! He passed to check if everything is ok.. what an artist!! Definitely coming back for a third time ... in fact... I can't wait... thank you chef Tony..

We were there yesterday with a gang of seven. Polite and friendly service and good selection of wines. But the flavours of the food were all over the place. Some were good, some courses were just mediocre and the main course was red mullet served with. a flavourless sauce. The dessert was beautiful and tasted good! However, the party of seven did not feel like it was Michelin star food. Also, the main courses were served lukewarm (without heating the plates) which I thought was thoughtless!

Expected overrated. Experience was actually underrated. This is an amazing and modern restaurant unlike some Michelin 1-stars. 10-course tasting menu is New York quality. Tucci is spot on. WOW. Will be two-stars soon. Bagheria is adorable. Get there ASAP!!! Diverse and knowledgeable staff.

Stanley Tucci did not lead me astray. If you’re in Sicily and have time and a car, this is a must. The tasting menu is absolutely worth it, and above all else: come hungry. Incredible service, food, and atmosphere. One of the most memorable meals of my life, and I will try my hardest to never forget. 100/10 would recommend.

Amazing restaurant, we went for lunch and ordered the tasting menu, it was creative, delicious, and an interesting experience. The service was great and the staff spoke fluent English. Highly recommend.

Not sure this restaurant matches the hype that Stanley Tucci gave it. Our tour company put 260 Euros down for our reservation, and we incurred a 520 Euro bill for the 4 of us, totalling 780 euros ($819)for 4 people,ordering a la carte with one bottle of reasonably priced wine, and 2 extra glasses, plus 2 coffees. . Scandalous. The restaurant refused to refund the 260 euros to the tour company. We’re still not sure what the 260 Euros was for,. The food was ok…nothing extraordinary…portions small. The staff were terrific. Would not recommend this place, as there are plenty of local restaurants that serve much better food and experience in Sicily.

There are some dishes I definitely love but only 3 out 9. Some are slightly disappointing. I would probably not go back again. Even if yes, I will not go for menu dégustation.

Extraordinary experience. Wonderful staff… absolutely incredible evening all around. Degustation menu was excellent. Definitely worth the trek out to Bagheria - or even Sicilia for that matter!

My wife and I think that the last guy/girl who left a review was being extraordinarily kind when he/she says the food was okay. We had a very poor experience and we are very familiar with Sicilian food having visited several times a year for the last 15 years. We've eaten in very nearly all of the fine dining restaurants in Sicily. This restaurant is living on its reputation. We are English, the next table was American, the one after that Chinese and so on. There may possibly have been one Italian couple in that night so a pretty boring atmosphere. Tourists. All of us. The food is less than average (no outstanding flavours), the portions are microscopic (suggest you take a microscope with you should you make the mistake of visiting) and the pricing outrageous for food like this. We spent just under €300 for 2 with an average priced Carricante wine. There is much better food at much fairer prices to be had elsewhere on the island. Just ignore the Michelin guide other than La Madia which was outstanding apart from rushing us at our 2nd lunch. But the food was great.

An amazing dining experience from the moment you arrive. Went for the 7 course tasting menu and every course was fantastic, two or three I’ll remember for a long time. The accompanying wine menu is also well worth doing, some really top drinks served that you’d probably never order otherwise. The service is outstanding, the setting is beautiful, it might be a little out of the way but it’s definitely worth it.

Firstly, it’s in the middle of no where. When you finally reach it, the welcome is cold and informal. The restaurant itself is cold, with no atmosphere, playing awfully dreary music. The staff are robotic, with no personality. Our sommelier was without any passion or realistic understanding of his clientele. As the tasting menu continued, he was more interested in chatting to his work colleague than topping up our glasses. We decided on the modern tasting menu, which was a take on classic Sicilian dishes. Most were underwhelming. The fact that the customer is not informed what the menu contains, to me, is ridiculous. There were several courses that I wouldn’t eat normally, if I had been informed that I was going to be served them. I was offered an alternative, but such fuss was made about this situation, that I felt declining was the easiest option. This was definitely the most expensive mistake of my otherwise lovely trip to Sicily.

I Pupi are a very refreshing and fantastic experience in the Italian culinary world. I had experienced an amazing journey across 10 servings and 10 paired wines. While I can only compliment the chef's unique way to rapresent scilian and non Cousine, I've to spend a word of unique praise for Andrea, the somelier. He's expert guidance has made the 10 set a unique journey and one to remember. I strongly believe that noone will regret this experience, while could be perceived a rather overpriced one stared restaurant do not let yourself fool, this is a bargain two star yet to be. My heartfelt compliment, I'll be back for sure!

No notes to share. An incredible dinner service in any way possible. It amazes me that Michelin has not awarded this chef with a second star.

Oh Stanley Tucci, you beautiful man you. We never would have thought to venture out to Bagheria (an hour from our hotel in Cefalu) had it not been for Tucci featuring I Pupi on his "Searching For Italy" program. Leading up to our reservation (make sure to get one) at I Pupi, we began to wonder if it was really worth the Michelin star pricing. Were we going to regret spending the money? Well, the answer was a resounding "NO." Every bite at I Pupi was a delight. We were there for three hours and would have happily stayed for another hour. The service was the best I have ever experienced. The servers were so attentive and knowledgable about every single aspect of the dishes: where ingredients came from, the Sicilian connection to food, etc. We honestly felt like we learned a lot! I can't even tell you exactly what we ate, but it was all so, so yummy! If you're thinking about splurging on a meal while in Sicily, let it be this... and make sure to get one of the tasting menus!

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Well worth a visit, even from further away.
