Lunch around 1 PM on a Monday in December 2023. There was a slight queue, approximately 30 minutes wait for some orders. Although I'm not much of a beer enthusiast, I tried a couple of locally brewed varieties from Baguio which I found good. The entire family relished all the dishes served. The staff seemed a bit occupied but still managed to provide good service. Conveniently located near Burnham Park. Highly recommended! Overall rating: 4.76/5

Long queue but can't blame them since their food are really good. We tried the baked oven ribs and Salisbury burger steak. Both are super delicious and definitely worth the wait. Serving is also enough to fill your tummy!

Spacious and the staff are friendly and nice. Food is great, ribs are good and dessert! Would dine again. Would appreciate an improvement on the vibe of the place, other than that all is good

Its just beside burnham park and the place is clean and neat and also inviting. The price is just right for the serving size, and I wish they could serve the food a bit hotter. Overall the food was delicious, there were just some issues with some of the dishes. The staff hustled to serve everyone and they were all very accommodating. I suggest that you guys go here a bit earlier than the peak hours to avoid long queue.

Fall off the bone kind of ribs, tender, and not even that expensive. Highly recommend the ribs. Pesto was just okay. The place is spacious, a lot of room for indoor and outdoor seating. Donโ€™t need a reservation even during peak hours. Great service! Would also like to commend the staff, my friend left his credit card and we came back for it 2 days after. The crew kept it hidden too and gave it back.

Good food and wonderful place. Mashed potato and salad perfectly complement the ribs. I love this place. It's easy to find because it's near Children's Park.

Place has a nice ambiance feel to it. White is thier colour of choice accented with real green landscapes and vines both outdoors and indoors. All glass walls with a wide floor area and spaces between tables and chairs to give you a semi private experience with your companions. A jazzy bossa nova audibles will welcome you once inside for your hearing pleasure. We tasted 2 drinks and a dessert. Coffee (super bland like water), Hot Cocoa (this is good), Almond Flour Chocolate cake (uber good). It's supposed to be a quite good experience but thier service kills it all. Staff is disorganized and orders has not been taken correctly. Kitchen takes a very literally long time to have the food ordered and its just a slice of cake (and they are not even cooking it). We noticed there is no manager in this establishment thus explains the customer service is not in check. Hopefully this can be worked on and improve internally as soon as possible. Alot of parking space available so no hassles. Health safety protocols is being followed strictly. Kindly give a LIKE ๐Ÿ‘ if this helps! Follow ME for my other REVIEWS!

The upper extension of the restaurant is better than the main building. It's a house-turned-restaurant so you get that homey feel plus all the nice antique display. โœ…Lomo ribs - super tender and flavourful โŒ chimichurri sauce - okay but expensive. โ‚ฑ80 for a very small portion โœ…pumpkin soup - yummy! Tastes legit and not canned โŒ coffee - taste doesn't live up to it's smell โœ… hot choco - masarap daw

As always food was very amazing. Their Lomo will always be a hit. But also do try their other dishes, we ordered the Salisbury Steak and Lolasagna which tastes good as well. What surprised me is how good their salad is. (Their mango vinaigrette tastes so good) Their service though, was a-okay. Can't really blame them since they serve too many customers. Just need to have patience. (we waited for an hour to eat sadly) mind you we were among the first to arrive. Also, they are undergoing renovations. So the time we were there the paint smell was really disturbing. Try dining inside if you can.

The place has limited parking space so better if you commute or get there earlier. You might have to wait for a few minutes to get seated, especially when it's lunchtime and a weekend. The food is affordable and for sharing. Overall, I recommend this resto to have a family lunch.

The last time we were in Baguio (years ago) we also went to Canto. I was surprised it stayed open through the pandemic. We ordered a bunch of food during our visit here. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, and I appreciate that a lot. Food portions were adequate, although what I ordered was a little bland (pesto and pumpkin soup). Regardless, my family enjoyed what they ordered though. We will probably eat here again the next time we are in Baguio.

Best fall off the bone ribs! :) After a long day of walking and discovering Baguio, we decided to eat dinner here. It was actually my first time. We all had the ribs. It was delicious, tender, saucy, tangy and really flavorful. The salad was interesting too. Maybe next time Iโ€™ll try more of their food.

Serving sizes of the dishes border on just right, but order more because it's delicious. The table ordered bangers and mash, salmon, ribs, civeche, burgers, Salisbury steaks, roast chicken, and a few other items. All were great except the roast chicken, which was average. The ambiance was superb and made for a nice place to order wine and unwind. I appreciated how the servers were kind and attentive. There was no waiting to get seated, and the food came out quickly despite being somewhat busy.

Visited Baguio over the weekend and we spent our lunch here. My personal favorite is their Chicken Pastel. The Buffalo Chicken wings were good but a bit too spicy for my liking, I won't recommend it to kids. The ribs and the salad were okay. We went here around 3pm, the place was busy, we waited around 30 minutes to be seated. There are also few parking spaces. The place is across Burnham Park, so find other parking spaces if there's none available.

Sometimes you need to get in line to dine here. If you don't want it crammed you can come at 2-5pm The place has a good feel to it. I have dined here a lot of times and all I can say is their food is really good. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘8/10 There aren't many varieties to choose from. But, whatever is on the menu is quite good. Their toilet is for one person only. Separate for male and females. They have parking right below the restaurant but most of the time it's almost kinda full. It is very near Burnham park so you can go stroll there after eating ๐Ÿ˜

Great food and service as usual! I've been visiting Canto since 2015 and they never disappoint. We had lomo ribs (always a must-order!), ceviche, pesto pasta, pan seared salmon, and roasted chicken quarter leg. First time trying pesto pasta, just the right amount of saltiness and pesto wasn't too strong. We loved the salmon! It was fresh and was cooked perfectly. Roasted chicken is a safe choice, but the quality of their chicken and others were excellent. Also, I had my small Pomeranian with me and they allowed us to bring him inside the restaurant. Thank you, Canto!

My favorite place in Baguio! Their lomo ribs will always be #1 in my list. Pro tip is to ask for extra lomo sauce and parmesan cheese! Been here multiple times. Went here twice during my latest Baguio visit. Sadly on our first visit, theyโ€™ve run out of mashed potato (which works perfect woth the ribs) and on our second visit, their fries menu is not available. They have dedicated parking for customers and manong guard is very helpful in assisting parking cars. #whereisjecka

We had an amazing dining experience at Canto! The Lomo ribs were incredibly tender and bursting with flavor, while the Salad Days provided a refreshing and delicious balance to our meal. The sides of mashed potatoes and organic brown rice were exceptional, adding an extra layer of satisfaction to our dishes. Not only was the food top-notch, but the service was also impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of excellent. Canto truly exceeded our expectations, and we canโ€™t wait to return!

Always one of the staples when we go back to Baguio. The Lomo Ribs were nice and tender. It had a good smokiness to it too, which played well with the bbq sauce. Served with some salad (this one is fun because it has some peanut brittle mixed in with the veggies) and mashed potatoes (light and creamy). The Blue Marlin Ceviche was balanced well. It had some watermelon mixed in there, which is perfect with the acidity of the dish. The fish was clean and was not overly fishy. But surprisingly my favorite is the Bangers and Mash. The sausage was perfect. It had some spice, the seasoning was good, and it was super tasty. I can eat these forever lol. Service was superb. I used to live in Baguio and I frequented this restaurant then. When I went back this time, the server actually remembered me lol as a matakaw na person. Try this place. I beg you. It gets busy during lunch and dinner so if you do not want to suffer the long lines, come here during odd hours.

All in all a great place with great food and service. We arrived with a long queue but the staff did a great job of managing it and we were seated in about 10 minutes. Ordered their lomo ribs and salisbury steak and they were delicious. Their menu was reasonably priced not to mention they used locally sourced ingredients. The ambiance was good and I recommend seating outside their main area. Parking is limited so I recommend going here by taxi instead.

Inflexible to customers' requests and adjustments. It is best to have a reservation here to best enjoy your time. Their menu is just okay with its value for money: not that expensive with their servings.

Worst customer service ever!! I don't recommend this, and never will! The staff are arrogant and unwelcoming, maybe because they know that the restaurant is famous, and people love the food, but it is not an excuse to treat your customers poorly if not bad. Go to Romantic Baboy instead, they will shower you the best customer service ever. Never again to will i visit this place! NEVER!!!

This place is an absolute must try. Best ribs I've had in forever. The atmosphere and interior design are great for date night but is also accommodating for families and groups. The menu is rather lacking in variety but what they have is absolutely superb. Come early and expect a bit of a wait since this place is really popular and rightfully so.

Definitely better than lemons and olives. The location is absolutely perfect. You could have a stroll at the local park after or before eating. Food selection are great. Not too many, not too little. They have a lot of waiters standing by ready to serve you. I ordered the whole slab Lomo Ribs. It was a bit dry. It tasted great and it pairs beautifullywith their fresh salad. And for only 615 PHP, it is a steal. I also ordered their appetizer--fries, it was a bit oily, but it was served relatively fast. The only gripe I can think of is the menu it self. It wasn't as clean as I'd hoped. Maybe having the whole menu on a chalkboard would be a nice touch. Considering the looming pandemic. I wasn't able to take pictures because all dishes were plated beautifully, I can't help myself but to eat immediately. For the price, speed, service, and overall cleanliness, I would definitely come back again. Would definitely recommend. If you're going to Baguio, make sure to eat here.

  • 4/5 Rocky A. 9 months ago on Google
The lomo ribs (their best-seller?) was tasty but the Salisbury steak was also good. How do they make their organic brown rice taste so good? The salad with nut bits and diced strawberry was my favorite. Heading back to Manila with some strawberries so I'll try to make my own version at home๐Ÿ˜. A tip to Baguio restaurants: do try to accept credit cards for tourists. One key reason for us to eat at Canto, aside from the rated quality dishes. Love the interiors -the creeping vines, the wide glass windows...and I noticed they allow small (well-behaved? ) dogs too! If you have a bit of money to splurge, check out Canto!

Still one of my favorite places to dine in Baguio City. I make it a point to bring my friends and loved ones here whenever we're in town. While the line is usually long especially during the evening, the wait is always worth it. What I love about this resto is they have good vegetarian selection. They serve some of the best salads I'd had in a restaurant. Of course they don't come close to the ones I prepare at homes. LOL I personally do not eat meat but my friends and family always love their ribs. I think it's their best-seller. Also, it doesn't hurt that their servers are all so cute. Hahaha

  • 5/5 Curious T. 2 months ago on Google New
The name does not do this place justice! It sounds like a carinderia, but the place is actually beautiful with several sections including an ancestral house at the back. In the main dining area, they planted interesting vines that crawl all the way to the ceiling! Very decorative and adds to the ambiance. Location is very prime and strategic. One can easily walk down to Burnham Park for a stroll after a full meal! As everyone has written, the lomo rib is really tender and flavorful. A family slab can satisfactorily feed 5 pax. The Salisbury steak is also good. Given the choice between mashed potato and red rice, the former is much better bec the rice is dry and tough. Dessert is ok. We had 3 diff kinds. The panna cotta lacks body. The sโ€™mores is good. The chocolo is also ok. Overall, an excellent experience! The only thing I would express a tinge of dissatisfaction about is the periodic whiff of street pollution that you would smell in the dining area facing the street.

I have to say that the food is definitely good. The ribs are succulent, pizza crisp and tasty, chicken wings nicely spiced with a velvety sauce. On the downside lines were long but ok to wait. Service is bad, seems no system on who handles tables. Long wait for food. Its not even the busy season. Try it to believe it though. Just my 2 cents...

  • 4/5 Vanessa L. 3 years ago on Google
Before lock down we ate there and had such a beautiful experience. The food was really good and the atmosphere was just pleasing. The only thing that bothered me was the squeaky swings outside their restaurant. The noise was annoying, if they would just oil it or maintain it the place would be perfect.

  • 5/5 Paula T. 5 years ago on Google

You have to wait for about 30 minutes to an hour before getting a table and you can't pre-order while waiting in line so that is a whole lot of waiting. The stars are for the good food. I won't suggest going here if you're already famished but if you have the luxury of time and patience, this could be good because the food is good. :)

Ordered the Ribs, Chicken wings, Salisbury Steak. Chicken wings was close to burning, Buffalo Sauce as they claimed to be provided doesn't even come close and taste mostly like a Ketchup. Salisbury Steak was edible, but the Brown rice that came with it, is not fully cooked because they combined Red rice and White rice hence the Red rice isn't fully cooked, as it should be cooked longer. Lomo Ribs was edible also, and as the other review say, it is by far the "good" dish in this restaurant. Overall: 3/10 (without the ribs would be 1/10)
