Coco bongo is a coloful haven in a tranquilo little town. The place is the perfect place to chill out with friends or even the friendly staff or go for a delicious bite to eat, the pancakes are a must! The rooms where really nice and even came with comfy beds and mosquitoe nets. If ever back in Bahia I’ll be paying a visit!

Coco bongo is the best hostel I've stayed in South America i've been to (chile, Perú and Bolivia) The price is very good the beds are really comfy and a good size too, I'm 6'1 and have plenty of room they come with individual mosquito nets. They also have a great selection of food in the restaurant with really well sized portions and well priced. The which surprised me the most was the selection of vegetarian dishes which is very hard to find in South America so i was very happy. All in all I highly recommend this place and the private accommodation is fantastic too

I have stayed several times at CoCo Bongo going back several years. I had the opportunity to stay again recently and it is amazing what they have done. Since the quake a while back they have done and amazing job and it is more fantastic than previously. As always the food and staff are great. I can’t say enough about the burgers and breakfast. Keep up the great service and hostel! Thanks!

Black bean burger was great and coffee came with a free cake! A little expensive but really friendly and good service. A nice place to eat or for a snack near the beach.

Great atmosphere, very chilll with smooth jazz music as opposed to the Reggaeton you hear basically everywhere else. I spent many a quiet afternoon here reading and shooting the breeze with Sean the owner. Also you can't beat the chimichurri burger as far as taste and price. Overall, 5 stars!

The food is delicious and the vibe is exactly what you want at the beach, so chill. Incredible murals everywhere, just beautiful. It's officially my favorite place on the coast.

Coco Bongo cafe is a nice and chill place with vegetarian options. There are not many places in Bahia with diverse vegetarian options. Coco bongo offers a few different vegetarian burgers and veggie pizza. Last time I tried their pizza and it wasn't very good. So my conclusion is...it is not a great place for vegetarian pizza

I recently stayed at their penthouse and it was spacious, plenty of natural light and I had access to a balcony with super comfortable hammocks. The hammocks were my favorite but of the terrace, amazing if you watch the sunset and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in Bahia with an amazing view. So worth going if you are looking for a relaxed, peaceful stay :)

What a great place! I stayed here for 6 weeks as a volunteer and had a great experience. The location is fantastic, just a couple minutes walk from the beach, and directly across from a beautiful park. The people who run the hostel are extremely kind and welcoming, and they put a lot of work into making the hostel a fun and unique experience. As a female solo traveler I felt very safe staying here.

The hostel was a pleasant and accommodating experience. I particularly enjoyed the art, which covers nearly every surface of the interior. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet. I loved the experience, good vibes, and hospitality. I will definitely be staying again!
