Note: This is a public beach, not exclusive to a hotel or resort (all beaches in Seychelles are public property). Use the google maps pin to guide you to easy parking just off the West Coast road. Anse Takamaka is beyond stunning - a real tropical paradise 🏝️ 🏝️🏝️.

Besides the cool name of the beach, its a nice spot for spending a beach day. A nice extra: there are tortoises :) you also find natural shade and for drinks or food there is a restaurant! Good for swimming because even as its currently the season with a lot of wind, the ocean is calmer on this side.

One of the many beautiful beaches in the Seychelles. There is a restaurant here which offers some food and drinks and it’s a nice quiet location to relax. There is not a lot of shade and the waves can get quite high, but its worth the visit! There are also some land turtles at this beach, which are being taken good care of (assuming). The road to get here is nice as well, very pretty island. This is just a place to chill at the beach, don’t expect any excursions from here (at least not when we went).

Nice beach, few turtles around too. While is not the best beach in Mahe, not even in top 3, still a nice looking beach that it's worth a visit, free parking available next to the beach.

A very beautiful beach in Mahe Island. We came here on our road trip around the island. The beach is clean and so natural, and not crowded.

Great small beach with swimmable waters, mind the tides tho! There is a shower by the bar, with a rest room. Not sure if the bar makes you pay to use it, but we managed to use it for free 🙈

Great beach, not crowded, with a bar/ restaurant (Chez Batiste) for that eating by the sea with sand between your toes experience. Nb kitchen closes early...at 7pm !! Seems to be very good fishing in the bay by the left hand side rocks.)

The location is nice to relax on the beach but due to the rocks in the water and the current, it is not the best place for swimming or snorkeling

The only thing worth a stop on this beach was turtles. Even though they seemed quite unhappy being locked in such a small area. The beach itself is not so nice compared to the other beaches here. After a short stop we continued our way to Anse Intendance.

One of the most beautiful beaches on Mahe, definitely worth the visit. Also sunsets are lovely here. The bus stop is nearby too.

At the time we visited this beach (middle of november) it was just perfect. No big waves, clear blue water, almost no people. When you come in the morning, you’re alone. One of the prettiest beaches we visited on Seychelles.

Glorious classic arc of sand with nice surf, shelves out so safe to go in if you're careful. Quite a lot of shade. Plenty of parking. High tide is quite high up the beach. Sun sets bang in the middle of the bay.

Wonderful stretch of beach. Shady places are available, also for larger groups. Snorkeling is great.

Welcome to the south of Mahé! We went by tour guide and it was quite a trip from the east through unwalkable winding roads with lots of height-differences (no chance by foot-trust me, I tried!) Really nice beach with almost no tourists (only one hotel/resort) Perfect for relaxing. Was our first choice to stay but it takes you about 1h to go to the north for boat excursions, so we reconsidered. If we return to this beautiful island, we'll stay here 😉

Very clean beach, clear water, white sands

Very beautiful beach, beautiful waves. Unfortunately, the turtles from the hotel had far too little space. This is already animal cruelty. Professional pickpockets are also very active at the beach. We left our things out of sight for only a few minutes and our money was stolen. Very sad!

Very pretty beach but be careful - my bag got stolen today, although I wasn't far away. Because of the tight forest around, the thief was gone in seconds. 5* for the police which came very fast and was very kind.

Great place to snorkel, we saw moraines, stingrays and even a see snake. Overall a dreamy beach. The turtles were also fun to watch.

The beach itself is not easy and not safe. The tides and currents very strong. If you just there for photos and chill then ok. But forget about swimming.. also you can't settle on the beach when high tide as waves will hit you hard

Very nice crescent shaped beach with nice surf and nice open plan bar/restaurant at one end. Parking available. Ideal for those who want to splash around in more than just shallow water. But please be careful!
