Best BBQ in town!! Love the vibe here!! Everyone is so friendly and nice!!

Never knew this place was here. Food was amazing. Ribs were fire 🔥. Outside dinning area looks like a picnic area. Service was excellent. It's not on menu, but you can pick out a steak and they will grill it for you. Definitely trying that next time around.

Great food, great staff! Very friendly and knowledgeable about their meat. Best BBQ I have had in a long time. If you're trying to eat gluten free, I recommend any of the combo plates minus the bread roll. I had the tri-tip and chicken which comes with salad and chili beans, and I could not eat it all. We ate on their back patio with our large family, which afforded us comfort and privacy. The soda, by the way, was delicious. The root beer tastes like it has vanilla added to it! It was divine! One person in my party had the J-Lo Pastrami, and another had the BBQ chicken wrap. Both stated theirs were tasty. For a party of 6 people with meals, drinks and 2 beers, it was just over $100, so very reasonably priced. No actual "kids menu" but definitely there are options for your kids to eat and/or split combo plates or sandwiches. If they don't want to split it up, they can always save it for leftovers tomorrow for lunch! Want to make sure to mention, we checked out the prices on their meat counter and they're very reasonable. They have it all, we will definitely be back. They close on weekdays at 6pm, so make it a family date and go have yourself an early dinner. Maybe then you can go out to a movie or an ice cream after? Love the tri-tip. Tender, sliced thin ..perfect! The beans are also very good; just the right amount of meat, tomato and pinto beans. Flavorful, the beans were not over cooked and mushy nor under cooked. Can’t wait for my next party!

Not quite sure what to have expected first time visiting this spot today 9/27. Ordered COMBO #3 chicken thigh and ribs, asked the cashier what came with it and she said "3 ribs and the chicken/ 2 sides & roll for $22.95 (no drink🤔). This is what I received "2 ribs (definitely not 3 ribs), not sure what happened to the chicken thigh and why it was chopped, 2 sides and a roll!" I went back in, asked the cashier "you did say 3 ribs right?" and that i received 2 ribs. She said "I guess it's 2 then" 🤦🏻‍♂️! How can this be $22.95 is beyond me! 🤷🏻‍♂️ tried it once and that's about it for me👎!

Wanted to try a new spot and this place was perfect. The food was delicious! I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.

First class BBQ joint in downtown Bakersfield. They have a full meat case if you want to do your BBQing at home. Or they'll cook it for you....and they do it quite well. I had the tri-tip sandwich. It was a little well done for me, but still flavorful and juicy. They have BBQ sauce, but the meat stood on its own....as it should. The sauce was almost a distraction. I didn't have any of the sides, but they looked good. They have craft beer, too. Highly recommended. 2 thumbs 👍

I have great service I ordered three T-bone steaks for Super Bowl Sunday, Plus I ordered myself a tri-tip sandwich and a regular ham and cheese sandwich one for dinner and one for work tomorrow's lunch. The ham and cheese was real good with the sourdough toasted and fresh jalapenos. It tasted great.

After getting back from Texas and having real good BBQ, this was ok. No brisket. Every BBQ joint in Texas has brisket. Maybe Californians don't know how to BBQ the way Texans do. The deep pit sandwich was good. I liked the house made salsa. Has a nice market with some good looking beef up front. Has a nice patio area in the back for outdoor seating.

I hit up Prime Time BBQ for their lunch special, today (Tuesday) it was the deep pit tri tip sandwich with fries and a drink ($15.95). It was pretty good, lots of tender beef. I started the trip by buying some ribeye, carne asada and ground beef. Cooked up a ribeye for dinner, it was delicious. Definitely an improvement over your regular supermarket beef. Carne asada also tasted great in some tacos, very tender. The marbling on the stakes was just beautiful. Such tasty fat!, melts in your mouth!

The food is delicious, and the staff are helpful and curtious. Close to my work and convenient, and the food is prepared in a good amount of time, allowing me to enjoy my lunch hour.

Top 5 steak. Super friendly staff. Steak cook to order options. Bit pricey but food was great.

Been once to eat, twice for take out. Spicy mac n cheese is excellent. Their brisket is amazing. Had what I could've sworn was a Mac salad with a slight heat kick to it, just enough to start to bring a sweat- not all the way just a start; but subsequent visits they swear they only have mac n cheese with a kick....Interesting wine selection, not the usual 'some well known Central Coast, some famous Napa,' etc.. more sort of boutique. Love that they sell deli selections of the meats they feature.

My sister was visiting from Illinois and it was our birthday. We and two friends ordered Prime Time BBQ online. Also, it was one of my friend's birthday too! I ordered brisket with sauce on the side. My sister and one friend ordered pulled pork sandwiches, The other friend, a tri-tip sandwich with grilled peppers. We ordered a side of beans, potato salad, and a spicy mac n cheese. We drove to the Park at River Walk and thoroughly enjoyed our food. I highly recommend this place. Oh, the place was slightly busy but the staff was super nice and helpful.

We came here on a whim. And we are so glad that we did! My wife had the tri-tip and barbecue chicken combo with beans and salad. I had the Tri tip sandwich with mac & cheese, mixed with chopped hot links. OMG!!! Awesome!!! If you like barbecue, you have to try this place! I was also very impressed with the butcher counter with the variety of Meats and links on display. Food was brought out to our table within 5 minutes. Unlimited soft drink/tea refills. Variety of beers and wines available too.
