Everything was wonderful. Great stay!! Room was clean. Smelled fresh. Front desk was professional, helpful and kind. Great job with your employees! Food on premise was fabulous - had the smothered chicken! Yum. However 1 main reason I can’t give it a 5. The heating system in the room is seriously flawed. When it reaches proper heat, it then instantly kicks in to AIR CON, then back to heat, then back to AIR CON (non-stop). I definitely didn’t get the good sleep I was so needing here and was bummed. Finally got up at 2:30am and turned the whole heating system off. Woke up to a 65° room. But that heating cooling switching back/forth is not only loud and obnoxious when trying to sleep, it’s INCREDIBLY energy inefficient :(. C’mon Hilton, tell me I had the one room that has yet to been converted to the new heating system?! Room 401. Stayed 12/16/22 - 12/17/22.

This not a good representation of the Hilton brand. By far and large the worst Hilton I’ve ever come across. 1st floor room had grimy overly stained carpet that felt sticky and thick barefoot, had to wear shoes because of how grimy it felt. Dirty spots on the hard floor by the ironing board. Boogers on the wall near the light switch in the bathroom. The door frame by the same light switch had dirty grimy built up hand/finger prints. The bathroom ceiling looks like it regularly caves in and the paint was probably 3 different shades and textures. The room phone in our accessible room had the wrong freaking room number! The sink had been broken from the wall and just flipped there. Even the little hotel shampoo and soap bottles wouldn’t stand on the sink. One star only because contactless check in and electronic room keys.

I e stayed at plenty of hotels, and this one was a big disappointment. Communication was lacking from the beginning. We needed to reserve a room that allowed a well behaved dog, therefore I called to make the reservation as opposed to reserving online. When we arrived they did not have a dog noted on our reservation. They did however accommodate us. I read thru the pet agreement and questioned it saying that pets could not walk thru the lobby, I asked how I should bring my dog in. I was told thru the lobby, that the agreement was outdated. I was then told that there was a 75 dollar non refundable deposit for a pet. They did not indicate this fee was per night. We decided to eat dinner in their restaurant and bar. We would have been better off microwaving something in our room. The food was horrible!! It sat in my stomach all night like a brick! Then when we went to pay, she wondered off with my credit card and brought back a slip for me to sign but without my credit card. When I questioned her, she said it was still over at the desk, that she needed me to sign and add tip first. I did, although I’ve never had a restaurant handle a credit card transaction in such a manner. She then went and got my card. In the middle of the night I then had notifications of additional charges to my card. We won’t stay here again.

I have been staying here on and off since 2006. At least 4-6 times a year. It's a very welcomed hotel to a Diamond member even though there's no suite room but employees are so sweet. The location is near by the freeway, easy access to the business center, can print copy and color copies is available. There a restaurant and bars in site. The food at the restaurant is excellent. Hot order breakfast is included with buffet. Indoors Heated pool and jacuzzi. . Friendly staff. The bartender Arturo is been there for so many years. I didn't see him the last time I came because of the Covid they shut down the bar. Hopefully I will see him again. I want to greet all of the employees of the Hilton Garden Inn Bakersfield a Happy New Year. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Worst Customer service I ever experienced. I booked 2 rooms for 1 night for my team who came from Sacramento for a concert. The night receptionist didn’t let them check in and started arguing. She didn’t feel safe and even called security on them. They were just requesting that its 12am let them check in as we booked hotel at 11:50pm. When I called spoke with her that you are harassing my team and I will complain about you she said go ahead. I am giving business to your hotel. If you can’t respect guests shut down your hotel. We always book 8-12 rooms for few nights when we organize show. I had 9rooms booked in other hotel and punjabi celebrity are staying there. They aren’t facing any issues. I urge everyone not to come as their customer service is worst.

Great place to stay when traveling on business. Currently they are working on their pool so it is out of service but the staff was great. Plenty of parking, and easily accessible, quite a few food options in the area. The room was relatively clean my only complaint would be that the AC in my room was very weak it was about 72 degrees outside but I could not get my room to cool to 72, room was about 75 degrees and wouldn't get cooler than that. Even with that complaint I would stay again.

Great staff, decent breakfast offering and a comfortable room. We had a nightmarish American family in the room next to us with kids running crazy at 8am,the inter-connecting door offering absolutely no noise insulation. The bed is comfy and the bathroom has a decent powerful shower. The move back to soap has followed this hotel too, which is a shame as I always prefer shower gel (environmentally provided in wall units).

Extremely bad experience from the Hilton brand. I reached around 2300 at the hotel only to be informed that they were overbooked. They didn't give me any call / email to inform ahead of time. After reaching, they started looking for other hotels where they could put me up, and failed at it after 30 mins. I had to look for another place myself. Additionally, the check in manager confirmed they would cancel my reservation and not charge, only for me to wake up in the morning and see my card was charged. I had to call the hotel again to ask them to reverse the charge, since I was denied the room. It seemed like a regular occurrence here as there was little remorse expressed. Being a Honors member, it was worse, as they were no attempt to even compensate for the experience as a brand.

When Hilton launched this brand, they were a nice upgrade from a Hampton Inn - but that was about twenty years ago and a lot of these properties are showing their age. This hotel has a nice staff, but the room was run down (smelled musty, BIG stains on the carpet, run down furniture, etc.). Once upon a time, Hilton stood out - now it’s just another hotel chain. Take your pick - these days they are all down-channel. It’s getting tougher to find a clean, well kept, fully staffed hotel, and I won’t stay here again.

They do not follow the hours they post for the kitchen hours. I wanted to grab a late dinner and they told me “they decided to close early,” so I’ll just go hungry for the night. They also opened breakfast after the time on their schedule. If you’re hungry or punctual, don’t book this unprofessional hotel.

Welcoming and friendly staff. I was travelling with two large dogs and they were able to accommodate me. The rooms were clean and quiet and we had a wonderful sleep.

Furniture and decorations are relatively new. It has everything from cable TV, microwave, refrigerator, plenty of lights, coffee machine, plenty of space. Overall the room is in good shape and everything I need. Room is clean. I only encountered two problems. Water drainage in tub is slow. They forgot to put normal coffee kcups.

The rooms were nice, a little small. No breakfast included, a $16.95 charge. The pool was small, and dirt was on the bottom. The wifi in the business center was lagging and couldn't finish my work. The computer kept freezing up. The blow dryer had black electric tape on the plug. The only way to turn it on was plug it in. The switches were broke on it.

In shock. Old carpet, smells very bad of cigarettes even though it's a non-smoking floor. No free water, or continental breakfast available. Good restaurants near by, and very friendly staff, I don't blame them. They only do their best with what tools management has provided them. No housekeeping unless you request the day prior. Shampoo and conditioner bottles were all empty. Sheets have seen better days. I felt weird using them, sort of made my skin crawl. I wasn't prepared for that experience without my own...lesson learned. Most important: Amenities were all down, no pool, no sauna, and no room service for food were available. Limited restaurant menu inside and overpriced. Did not feel like a Hilton, more likeba Motel6.

Hilton@joke!!! OTR driver and besides having to wait on a patio that was unsure and filled with homeless , for almost two hours. 17.00 dollars extra per person for breakfast and I'm still waiting g for toilet paper. Would NOT recommend or even give a it'll do!!!

No caffeinated coffee or creamer in the room was the first disappointment when I woke up. Then I learned I forgot my toothbrush. Walked out to the front desk and there were no toothbrushes. The person at the front desk was the most uninterested and unapologetic employee. She had to come over and make sure I wasn't blind then shrugged her shoulders. When I asked if she could double check she went and asked THE COOK if they had any. Am I at a Hilton or Motel 6? Spoke to the manager and it was blamed on supply chain problems. The front desk employees complete lack of caring and no apology was the worst!

The staff is nice and friendly, very professional, greet everyone with a smile. The room's are clean and spacious, the bathroom was a little small be careful of the bathtub/shower combo it can be slippery when it gets wet, the hotel should really put some kind of slip proof grippers on the bottom of the tub. the room also has a nice size T.V., the internet provided is free but it can be slow at times, the hotel offers an upgrade on the internet which provides faster speeds for a fee of $4.95 a day. The hotel has plenty of free parking. My husband and I ate at the hotel's restaurant ordered Bloody Marys before dinner, the drinks were excellent as was our dinner, prices were a little high, but we received adequate size portions. We have stayed at this particular hotel several times and have always had a wonderful experience.

I've stayed there before to attend concerts and it's a pretty nice place. It feels safer much than other hotels on that road. I just recently stayed there again from 10/7 to 10/9 and was disappointed that the yogurt at breakfast was expired 🤢 and I was looking forward to taking a bath and the stopper didn't work at all.

Honestly just go to the doubletree across the way. The night staff here is very rude and short with guest. I came in here thinking it was $93 a night because that's what the site said, instead of explaining pricing, she scoffed and recoiled in disgust and just simply said, "no". How does this place have worse customer service than a gas station? Beyond me.

YUCK! The hotel smells like a nursing home, the room had 2 bugs in it, the shower had some kind of hair (what appeared to be pubic hair) lodged on the shelf, missing toiletries AND the sheets/pillows appeared to have some kind of red/brown stains. EW, EW, EW! The ONLY two things that I can compliment are parking (terrific) and the shower itself (water pressure was amazing). Nothing else! Totally a fan of Hilton, but I typically stay at the Double Tree around the corner and will be going back to that one.

This place is excellent nearby restaurants and great service. I called the front desk because my TV wasn't working, and in 5 minutes Andrew came replaced it. Very nice gentleman.

Everything was clean, the rooms were spacious, decent wifi, and clean laundry facilities, plus security is onsite starting at 10pm. Only downside was breakfast was almost $14 per person so I wasn’t able to try it but other then that, very satisfied with my stay!

Room was a good size and the high ceilings are great. The pool and jacuzzi are indoor which was great but the pump to heat them was broken and the jets didn't work. Nice gym.
