Great overnight stop. Arrived in the evening with no advance reservation front desk was helpful and accommodating. Gave us a good walk up rate. Requested a twin room ground floor which was no problem. Very clean bathroom and comfortable beds. Good food options nearby. Freeway is noisy when you’re outside but this also makes it a very convenient well serviced place to overnight. And loved our complimentary arrival cookies :)

This may sound petty, but they didn't have the traditional chocolate chip cookies. I had to ask for shower towels in my room and get them myself. They were horribly short-staffed. There was no option for room service. The ducts need a good cleaning, as over by 3-day stay, my sinuses are now completely full and I have a cold from the a/c, as I'm allergic to mold. Other than that staff were very friendly. I think Hilton should have adjusted the price for this level of quality.

Beautiful room! Very clean and super nice. The whole hotel from lobby to cafe is just well decorated. The only problem is the service side. I kinda understand the rough attitudes because of the extreme heat going on, but I still paid a lot of money, so the service should match the cost. Overall very happy with my stay though. I will stay during cooler weather to assess if attitudes with the staff are better. Take care and stay cool :)

Kids rain down the hallway all night and kept us up. So glad we were only spending one night there. The walls are paper thin. The hotel itself was clean and nice, but the raucous guests ruined it for us.

Decent hotel in Bakersfield. Close to nice restaurants and a great brewery. The pool was very popular when we stayed there (June in the desert heat). Breakfast setup was pretty nice. Bar and lounge are pretty open and relaxing too. Vegetarian options for dinner with beyond was unexpected but cool to see.

Nice place. Large rooms, clean and cool. Needs a microwave. Microwaves are important to mothers. Bottles need to be heated and leftover food needs to be heated. I understand that AC is expensive in Bakersfield, but, it was very warm in the hallway and elevator. Plenty of parking all around the building.

Nothing of real value to contribute here. Location was convenient, the rooms were clean. Had a balcony, but no chairs on any of the balconies, so I am unsure of why the balconies are even there. Get some chairs already! Right next the the 99 freeway, so the road noise didn't come through much, so that was good. Didn't try the breakfast (not free) so, I cannot offer any insight into that.

Nice room and night staff was nice. Went to get coffee and was told I had to buy it from the bar. It's coffee I've stayed at alot of hotels and never had to pay for coffee. Do you guys not make enough on the over priced room? It like you guys just keep trying to find ways to charge people. I will not never stay at this place again. Neither will the company I work for

First night was great second night. Our hotel room door was kicked open by some teenagers. I called the office and they moved us rooms, however I was in the room with my 13yo daughter when the incident happened. There was a rowdy group at the look and I informed the front desk that the kids were a part of that group. Nothing was done as far as holding them accountable. Other than that, the hotel was nice, and the staff was very nice.

I’ve stayed at Hilton‘s and doubletree’s all over the country for years This hotel was built beautifully and nice But it has 2 huge flaws The hallways, elevator and hotel in general just looked like it doesn’t even have a cleaning staff. There’s dirt and God knows what lodged into crevices and corners everywhere. Also, why was it a 10 minute walk to my room? I tried taking the stairs in the morning and it ended up taking me over 15 minutes to find the lobby because certain stairs only go to the back parking lot which you then have to walk around the entire hotel and parking lot Other than that , the hotel and lobby was built beautifully! I would stay here again and just ask for a room closer to the lobby

Front desk and room service are Okay. The swimming pool needs some TLC as it looks neglected. The hotel is very close to Costco and other stores which is a big plus. Free WiFi is available. The room looks clean and it welcomes you on the TV screen with your name on it. Exit signs needs to be corrected. One exit sign in front of our room is pointing to the room next to us... which is not an exit path. On the other side of the sigh, direction is pointing the correct way.

The room was great and I took advantage of the fitness area. Downtown was just a 5 minute Uber away! If I ever end up in Bakersfield again I would definitely want to stay here again

This is perhaps the nicest Doubletree we've ever stayed in. And as Diamond Honors members, we've stayed in them all over the country. The rooms and common areas have been very nicely updated. The rooms have new large flat screen tvs that can be controlled with the Hilton App. The pool and hot tub are large and in a nice courtyard with a gazebo over a pond. The food for breakfast was quite good. Check-in was smooth with everyone being very friendly. And we were given all the benefits we were entitled to as Diamond Honors members without asking including a nice upgraded room. (which isn't always the case at some Hilton properties). We would highly recommend this property. Our only regret is that we stayed here only one night on our way to another stop on our summer vacation.

Bugs and maintenance issues. As a Hilton Honors Diamond Member you come to expect what you have received in the past. Considering my tenure of more than a decade of loyalty. So much has changed. This stay included bugs in the bathroom, one was a baby cockroach. The wallpaper peeling in the bathroom as well. With prices soaring, service being reduced to nearly nothing (rooms, consumables, perks) for those loyalist from the past, it’s a struggle. Especially seeing the Marriott exceed my expectations in this post COVID world. The rooms are nice and clean, but it just doesn’t make sense to stop cleaning rooms after raising prices when there are no more masks, no more hand sanitizer, no more bags over our remotes. Clearly COVID is no longer a valid excuse or the aforementioned would still be present.

Nice hotel with good food and rooms, no problems. You can play your nintendo switch online, they have that good NAT type. I mostly wanted to share their hilariously passive-aggressive letters in their rooms. They have the most high end of ice buckets in the rooms, and if you steal one, they will charge you the reasonable price of only $66. I wonder how many of those cheap coffee makers they have sold for $82🤔? They must be flying off the shelves.

This place rules. I was in a difficult situation and had lost my wallet in Vegas. Making it very hard to access my money. They worked with me on the deposit and then I accidentally left owing 70$ and they didn't make me feel anything but valued. I returned the next morning and settled it but I wish more Hilton branded hotels treated their guests like this. Diamond or not. Will returns

How do you have no microwaves in the rooms? What kind of 3 star hotel has no microwave? There is 1 small microwave in the lobby. The walk to the room was ridiculously long and hard, carpets in the hallways are thick making rolling luggage very difficult. Walk to and from elevator is at least 5 minutes. Hotel was designed with little people in mind it seems as each door has 2 peep holes 1 either for kids or little people. Breakfast the hot food was lukewarm and over salted. Not much else besides that no bagels, no muffins, no fruits, no English muffins, no pancakes, no waffles.

Honestly POOR signs for where the elevators or lobby is....you can get lost VERY easily. The room service people I inquired about where to find the lobby, sent me a different direction. Food was mediocre. I would have ordered uber eats but I was afraid I'd have to navigate the halls again or my delivery person couldn't find me. Room was dirty. I had a used towel (apparently the last cleaner didn't check the hanging towels and assumed they were clean). And the carpet smelled. I'd ask for another room but the carpet everywhere was out dated and I assumed it would be the same in another room. They "upgraded" me into the room I was in and I don't see how that was an upgrade at all. Sorry but I'll avoid this hilton

I would say 5 stars overall for the room and service. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that my particular room had a minor ant infestation in the bathroom. I only noticed the ants the next day when leaving. The rooms are spacious, modern, and I would stay at this hotel again.

Great Hosts, Wonderful Waiters/Waitresses. The food is excellent!! The beds are super comfy. There are small areas throughout the building where unique photos can be taken. You may run into a celebrity.

The building itself is very old and the layout is extremely confusing/inconvenient I only saw two elevators, one in each corner of the building. The room was very nice and relatively updated. However, the freeway sound was extremely loud and the heat in the room never came on, even when I set the thermostat to 80 degrees. I am pretty sure the balcony door seal was broken as it was extremely cold at night near the door. I requested a room on the other side of the building due to the interstate but when I checked in I was given a different room next to the interstate. The employee that checked me in barely said 5 words to me under his breath. The location was not bad with Costco and plenty of food options within walking distance. Security was present in the parking lot at night which was nice to see.

They booked us in the wrong room. Not good for disabled and to make things worse this hotel didn’t even have the suite we requested! If your staying more than one night bring your own coffee they give you for 1night only. No hand towels, no screens on sliding door or windows. Know where your room is located so you don’t have a freeway view and noise. The only good thing was the bed was very comfortable.

My wife and I had our wedding there and really enjoyed ourselves. The coordinator, Lori, was very helpful and is very awesome at her job. We were able to rent out several rooms all within close proximity which is good because we had huge number of family attending. Unfortunately while the supervisor of the kitchen was very helpful but I never learned her name, one of the waiters gave attitude to one of my guests after someone had taken the meal ticket from the head table, contesting her association while it was quite obvious she was part the wedding. But eventually it was taken care of so no star taken away regarding that unpleasantry. As for the hotel, room, cafe, etc. Nothing real negative about it other than the water pressure during shower was low but could have easily been due to many other guests taking their shower at same time. The room was well-kept and decent. The individual room that I was in at least could use some additional coffee grounds, creamer and as well as cups. Supposedly you have to pay to watch TV but I never bothered nor can I vouch if true or not. The cafe was simple, good selection but only seemed to be open only for couple hours (something like 7A to 930A). I didn’t really check if there are any ramps for people in wheelchairs other than one next the front main office (North side) but at least where I was (South side), there was only small steps at entrances but no ramps so hopefully in near future those could be added. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and still give recommendations for people to stay here.

Rooms were nice except for a bathroom door issue. Very good service. The parking situation is a little weird in that I had to drive back to the street to go to the opposite side of the structure to get to my room.

Fancy hotel with a big room! The hotel has a nice big pool and a little fitness centre. We got a cookie when we arrived, very delicious! They serve good breakfast in the mornings, unfortunately it is not included.

Staff were friendly and our 2 room's were spacious. We only had one issue was we were booked a extra room. But they fixed it by giving us a free night stay. I recommend this hotel when your staying here in Bakersfield ca..

My family and I were just there passing by one night only.. But I can tell that the rooms are decent size and the bathroom is pretty good compared to other hotels Also it was pretty clean. Plus bonus for the complimentary cookie at check in 😋☺️ And it was central AC 👌

Nice hotel, room was updated and clean. Front desk staff was courteous and professional. Hotel restaurant had some good burgers and there is a bar also in the restaurant. Overall nice hotel, only drawback is if you are on one side of the hotel you are very close to the freeway so a bit noisy.

The staff here was great! The room was clean, the bed was super comfy and the parking lot was extremely well lit so I didn't worry about my car overnight. I love that they offer a military discount. I would highly recommend!!

My favorite place in Bakersfield, CA. The room we stayed in was amazing. It was a two room suite. One room had two queen beds with a balcony and its own air-conditioning and the second room had a cal king bed with a huge balcony and over size tvs in each room. Peaceful and quiet. Bathroom was nice. Had a microwave refrigerator and extras. Wonderful stay and can't wait to stay again
