Entrance looks decent place. Friendly people. Clean room if lucky. Bugs everywhere. Dead cockroaches found in room. My first room toilet doesn’t flush so they put me into a queen sized bed. ( I had a king room) I changed the room again and got a suite with jacuzzi which did not work. But I at least got a pretty nice big tub. even though it’s a suite, there were dead and alive bugs everywhere.

Not a good experience. I’m giving it 2 stars for the barely 2 star quality of hotel. The kiosk was difficult to find. There was no lobby. The rooms were impossible to find (signs only for 201-231 and we had 298). Rooms themselves were spacious, given that we paid extra for doubles. But everything was so outdated. Barely any outlets for charging (if you don’t include the surge protector that’s hanging off the floor). Next to a highway, so it was noisy all night. Didn’t help that there were people loitering in the parking lot making noise. My friends had 2 different bugs in their room, one in the bathroom and one on their bed. Sizeable ones, not like flies or whatever. Just...not somewhere we’d actively want to revisit, let alone stay again.

This hotel was like nightmare for me. Rooms were dirty, linens were stained. Rest room and sanitary ware was in awful condition and licking. Deposit is a way higher than in a different hotel that we stayed next day (it was much better). No option for breakfast. Peesinel was nice

From the outside this hotel appears nice and clean. It most certainly is not and very overpriced. The room was supposed to be non smoking but stank of cigarettes. The carpet was filthy. The tub and toilet was dirty. The door to enter and exit the hotel next to our room did not close and questionable people were hanging around walking through as they pleased and were obviously not guests. It was infested with roaches. The manager was not helpful when I complained. I guess this is luxury to her so ..... I had to give it at least a star or I wouldn't be able to post. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP!!!

My wife gave birth at Bakersfield birthing center and since we traveled from Visalia we needed a nice quiet place that was clean to stay after. We saw Hourglass online figuring it was new and we would give it a shot! From the very first interaction with the staff they graciously accommodated to us and our odd time line issues with a very early check in as well as a room upgrade to celebrate our sons birth! Rooms were spacious and recently remodeled but above all else... Spotless! I will recommend and stay again.

The room was spacious. The jet tub was great. The bed comfortable. I found it odd that the only television was in the bedroom and not in the living room. I went to throw something in the trash and there was already trash in it from the previous occupant. That's a little disturbing because who knows what else was missed during cleaning. The heater-A/C is poorly placed. The vent blows the curtain out. It would not take much to prevent that from happening. Oh yes, and there were cockroaches and ants.

First room was absolutely disgusting. Hairs on the bed, crumbs on the floor, stains everywhere. The balcony for the first room was shared with another room, as in, the people from next door could walk into your room if they wanted to. Sliding doors have two locks but still. Second room was fine, I guess. Chair and tables obviously hadn't been cleaned and neither had the balcony. There was still trash from the previous tenant. This place is obviously not taking any Covid precautions beyond closing the pool. AC does NOT work at all and it is absolutely disgusting. This place is stereotypical southern California sketchy.

The entire hotel is in the middle of a very unorganized remodel. The place is a mess. The temporary check-in is dark, dirty, very unpleasant. The rooms were no different. Holes in carpet,, black mold,, leaky faucets,, fifthly furniture etc. This hotel used to be such a fun place. Not any longer. Making my visit even worse is the entire hotel neighborhood has really gone downhill. You will not feel safe after dark. Another shocker they have the nerve to charge $80 per nite and insist on a $150.00 deposit. Never again.

The goods news: the motel is being remodeled and we didn't have any noisy neighbors. The bad news: we didn't get one of the remodeled rooms. Ours smelled smoky and there was significant mold. The beds we're soft and didn't feel too worn. The furnishings we're very adequate. Hopefully there will be more plugs adjacent to the bed in the remodel. However, the price we paid made up a lot for the lack of attention to detail (like improperly inserted drawers.) The person who checked us in was friendly and attentive. The person who checked us out was dismissive when we reported the mold in the room, we weren't asking for compensation, just advising. In all, we'll be staying another night about a week later, and if it's significantly a different experience, I'll let you know.

So first time staying here. A very quiet location but it's caught in a bit of a time warp during it's remodeling. Staff at the front desk was very nice. Finding my room took some doing as it was night and the layout is unconventional. Once I got to my room it was more of the same odd updating of late 70's- early 80's style with mirrors, trim around the ceiling and so on. The bed had a bit of a dip on one side but it didn't bother me. The bathroom was also remodeled and had a few signs of cut corners, trim around the light had a gap that bugged my eyes. Trim around the mirror was loose, no trim on the floor between the carpet and tile. The floor was very clean as well as the shower and counter. The sink drain was rusty though. Overall a pleasant stay, with a little finishing this place could really shine!

Stayed here a few times now. This is an older hotel/fancy motel. It has a nostalgic feel about it. The atmosphere and the fact that the staff is always friendly and helpful is why I have been a repeat guest. I usually stay in an executive king room, which has been very spacious and very clean, although the furnishings and decor are very old. The beds have been "so so" as far as comfort goes. On my last visit I stayed in one of their pet rooms. Still roomie but not quite as clean as their executive king, but even though I had to clean the "all tile" floor because it was sticky (Could've been cleaner residue) I didn't worry too much about my puppies having an accident.

Stayed here while in town for work, the place is not nice, the pics look great, but currently it is under construction, carpets in room were filthy, water comes out brown from running the shower, leaking faucets, televisions are frozen and blurry, no chair in my room, place is a dump. Would no way bring my family here...beds were very flimsy and worn... the pillows were nice. And it was relatively quiet versus other places in the area...
