This hotel was clearly built with a lot of love, with several semi-connected buildings surrounding a very lush central courtyard with a pool. The reception is great, the rooms are spacious, and I did not see a single bug during my entire stay. The other guests seemed pretty sensible and family-oriented. I am only taking one star off because my room smelled very, very strongly of cigarette smoke when I first checked in although airing out the room with an open window and the air conditioning did help a lot. Something to note: the included breakfast is served at the hotel’s diner, which is very cute. I didn’t try it because I keep kosher, but it seemed like a really nice touch.

Staying here was a great experience for us. There was a high level of professionalism and courtesy among the staff. The staff made sure to help out even when they were busy. Early in the morning, we used their shuttle service to get to the airport. They were on time and professional. We had a clean room with everything we needed.

The hotel itself is a weird mixture of a motel and a hotel, a lot of its rooms are indoors, some of its rooms doors lead directly to the outside but only behind gated in area. That being said, the hotel has clearly spent a lot of resources making its public areas very welcoming and look very good. You definitely do not get the rundown feel in the lobby or the restaurant, once you get into the room, the rooms are pretty standard, nothing special, they remind me a little bit of a Best Western. However, they're also reasonably roomy. I highly doubt you're going to get high end room service, or a lot of fancy luxuries here, but they do have a restaurant, a pool table, and a reasonably nice pool area, all very well kept. All in all. This is probably a great place to stay on a budget, but if you're looking to live in luxury, maybe aim a little bit higher than Bakersfield.

I don’t want to give any stars. This hotel is disgusting! The short fat red haired grandma at the front counter was rude and an obviously miserable person who lived to make other peoples lives miserable. Dumb as a brick, she charged me over $300 for having my service dog with me. I told her, I have seizures, he is my seizure dog and I can’t be without him. She had the nerve to tell me they don’t allow any animals in the rooms. He is not a pet animal. He is essential to my well-being. It is so illegal to refuses service animal. I will be showing up there soon with the sheriff. I can’t stand ignorant people.

It's not bad, the room we had was large and had all the standard amenities including a drip coffeemaker! Nice. The best feature is the breakfast, they have a restaurant right next door and you can get a real breakfast for a little over 2 dollars, including coffee. There's a few different choices for breakfast and it was very welcome in the early morning. They are right off the 99 freeway with easy access for both directions. There are stores and restaurants nearby, and there is an Arco station with cheap gas right across the parking lot. What else do you need?

The carpet and the furniture in the room was filthy but the hotel managers are ok with that but when I went to check out I was informed that I was being charged $35.00 for a towel and wash cloth because there was a little bit of face make up on them. I guarantee that the hotel didn't buy a regular bath towel for $25.00 and a wash cloth for $10.00 but that is what they charged me. I had to ask the girl at the front desk if they used soap in the laundry because I wash my face every day at home and have not ruined one of my towels. My advice - don't stay here or bring your own towels. I would think that with the extra money they are making off people that maybe they should use it to have the carpets or the chair that was too dirty to sit on cleaned or maybe fix just one of the many out of service vending machines that are located through out the hotel.

This place needs to be completely remodeled and the bathrooms are very old and need a new tub since the grout around the bath tub had mold in it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if someone paid me to do it. The only thing in the entire place that was nice was the car in the lobby. The pool was very dirty and cloudy. Needs to be shocked and redone. The beds needs to changed because they weren't comfortable at all and I slept in the chair instead and the infestation of the place was very bad with roaches and spiders. Good luck with this place in the future because I know I won't be staying there again

This was the worst place I ever stayed at and I can not recommend it in any way. First room: fire detector was running on low battery and noisy, AC not working Second room: As we moved to the second room, it had the exact same problem. Third room: Smell of Cigarettes and urine, roaches on the balcony, shower was dripping, one light not working. The receptionist did not handle our request for a different room well. She was very rude and spoke in a harsh tone to us and staff members. When Check-out, nobody asked for a Feedback Would rather sleep in the car than in this „Hotel“

I made my reservation online and when I arrived the check in process was fast and friendly. This is a very lovely place. The room was excellent and sanitized all around. Very nice big flat screen TV, small refrigerator, and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. I took a walk all around the area and the palm trees and flowers certainly give it a very pleasant and relaxing vibe. The restaurant and lounge was very nice as well. The waitresses are super nice and friendly. The food was really good as well. I am extremely happy and pleased with my stay. I definitely plan to stay here when I visit the area again.

I chose the hotel because the pictures looked good - and it was the last one left. The service was awesome and the rooms were very nice. It had a nice view of the beach and the ocean. The service I received was excellent. The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful and courteous. The location was great. The hotel grounds themselves were very pretty.

I must say that even though this is a decent place...I will never stay here again. Where do I start...When you look at pictures you see a Microwave. Well...Rooms don't come with a microwave. They do have a fridge. Don't get here before 3:00 or they will charge you a early check in fee. Don't extend your stay or they will charge you a early check in fee (even if you are already in the room). I was given 3 different reasons for this charge. You also might want to bring your own wash clothes, hand towels and bath mat. Even though your room gets serviced daily they only seem to be able to leave towels. If you are lucky and get a hand towel and or face rag it's only 1. Even if you go to the front desk they don't seem to have any. Bath tube drains very slow.

Had my son’s state soccer tournament finals in Bakersfield and I found this hotel, I booked it for 2 nights. It’s a bit of a maze in there to find the room. Room was moderately clean as it should be but nothing too crazy. Beds were spring mattresses you could hear them not all that comfortable or cracked up to be and didn’t have comforters in them so wasn’t all that. I thought breakfast was included but it’s actually only a huge discount on the breakfast which is next to a dinner. Wasn’t all that great for the 2 nights it’ll do just a bit disappointed that it didn’t meet my expectations other options from the other parents looked better. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I had an amazing experience with Duniya Hotel as it was beyond our expectations. We had planned school friends’ reunions and get together. There were a few last-minute changes that we made. But those were handled flawlessly. We got a lot of compliments from our friends after the party. Will recommend it to everyone.

Never would a stay have been so comfortable! We stayed for a day and praised the manager and his staff for making it a great and unique experience and adding a sprinkling of joy and surprises for us! I had anticipated planning and organizing a birthday surprise for my beloved wife.

I was very satisfied with the service. The rooms are nice and clean, and the views are great. The bed was super comfy. Although it was a bit pricey, it was worth it. It's the best in town! I'll definitely come back whenever I'm in California

Very comfortable stay. Bed was incredible. Shower was a bit weak but adequate. Breakfast was tasty. The walls are quite thin, you could hear guests walking above you, luckily when I stayed they were very quiet but I can imagine there are times when the issue is more prevalent.

Last week, I stayed here. What a cool place! The room was fantastic. One of the most comfortable mattresses we've ever slept on. The layout of the room is fantastic. The staff is also very pleasant.

The rooms are a bit outdated but comfortable and clean. The food is pretty good. Staff is very friendly and on top of things. Our TV in the room didn't work they sent maintenance right away to fix the problem. TV still didn't work, and they switched us to a new room, no problem. It is also quiet.

My stay at Duniya Hotel was a letdown. For the price paid, I expected a much higher standard of service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Duniya Hotel to fellow travelers based on my disappointing encounter.

It was great staying at the Duniya Hotel for 4 nights! This place is perfect for tourists. It's close to most attractions. I really liked the staff and how responsive they were. The people came right away when we needed extra towels or trash taken out. The room was clean, and spacious, and had everything you needed. I'd definitely recommend it!

I booked a three-day stay and a one-day stopover in the hotel in November for my husband's 40th birthday. The hotel was everything I expected it to be and more. From the second I walked in the door I felt at home. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the service was friendly. The breakfasts were delicious (especially the pancakes and French toast). Must Visit Again..!!

We had a wonderful time during our three-night stay at Duniya Hotel. Even though the hotel was extremely busy during the holiday season, the staff was always so courteous and professional. Love to visit this hotel again. Best in California!

The Duniya Hotel was a great idea to stay in. The room was clean and well-maintained. I didn't have any problems with the room. The area around the hotel is very nice and there are a lot of places you can eat nearby. The staff in the hotel was very professional. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We are a group of family members and friends coming to visit USA for the first time. We found Duniya Hotel through its website which was very informative and we found it easy to navigate. We have had a lovely stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff are friendly and the room is nice and clean with a balcony. We are looking forward to going back again.

I can't believe how nice this hotel is. The staff is really professional and kind, the room is clean and spacious, and the breakfast is great! Plus, it's in a great location — only a few minutes from the airport, so it's easy to get to and from. I'm going back to this hotel in a few months and I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more.

My girlfriend and I just stayed there for our Halloween weekend vacation, and we were completely surprised with how incredible our stay was. From easy check-in, to friendly customer service, every aspect of our stay was top notch. 10/10, would recommend!

The courtyard is gorgeous and well manicured i love the vibe all the lush greenery creates. Definitely is an escape from what the outside area is like you wouldn't believe you're in Bakersfield if you didn't already know it. The only problem was the hot tub wasn't working.

Booked through their website and they didn't even know how to find my reservation and that I already paid for breakfast. Rooms are motel-esque and the beds are not that comfy. My shower was more of a bath because it didn't work properly (tried everything, couldn't get more out of the shower head). Breakfast was okay and the service was good. Nice people working here and pretty clean area. Nice looking place but more like a motel than a hotel.

I loved this place! It was very last minute. They have GIANT TVs. A balcony! With a pretty good view. It's the pool area but it's really pretty. I loved it. Bed was comfy. Only thing is the outdated carpet maybe but I would 100% come back here. It was super cheap too!

Got switched around rooms multiple times. In the first room the battery on the fire alarm needed to be replaced, in the second room the AC didn't work. I was very frustrated as it took over an hour before I finally had a room (I had to stand in line everytime there was an issue). The front desk was fantastic and really nice, which saved this place. Room was clean, but you can tell it is older and not updated. Outlets were crooked and the shower could use new molding. But it was a cheap hotel. Since customer service was so great, I would stay again. If there is an issue, they will solve it. Which is better than some of the expensive places. Breakfast was standard diner fair and as expected. I had dinner at the restaurant and it was very salty. But again, great customer service.
