THIS RESTAURANT IS AMAZING! Being vegan it can be hard to bring any good food options but being able to pick whatever I want with so much liberty ! They have amazing service, the food was delicious I got the chicken burger (quick warning ask for it without any Chile if your not good with spice) the vibe is so beautiful and. Gives you a calming sense. My dad who is not even vegan enjoyed the meal! I would highly recommend 60/10

This place was great. The service is great they are very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with suggestions. The Vegan Mac and cheese was amazing. I also ordered one of the burgers and a taco and the flavor combination on the burger was delicious and the taco was very good as well. One of the best Vegan restaurants I've ever visited. This is one to try if you haven't already. You won't be Disappointed

My wife and I visited this place today on our way from Yosemite back to LA. It was a perfect midway stop. This place is AMAZING. Great menu with lots of variety, super friendly staff, large portions, delicious food. The burger I had was one of the best vegan burgers out there and I have tasted many all around the US. Mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce were scrumptious as well! A must visit for every vegan and not only vegan!

The staff is very welcoming! They don't allow any to come in without letting them know they see them and are will and able to help. The food was great. It was my 1st time and it won't be the last. The drink was so good I finished it before I could get a picture of it full lol. You should give it a try.

TL;DR: Highly recommended, even at the cost. Now, I'll be the first to admit I'm no vegan, but I can recognize that vegan food can taste delicious and nowhere validates that belief to me more than Vida Vegan Co. The interior is cozy, and maybe because of the black painted ceiling it feels smaller than it actually is. Beautiful greens, browns, and other solid colors make the interior a joy to perceive. Though I'll admit while I was looking around, the staff regularly came to check if I needed anything. How attentive they were, it was very endearing. Now I ordered a pad thai dish that met expectations and a lemonade that exceeded them (especially on such a hot day). The food was flavorful, came out steaming and was also very quick! The lemonade was fantastic, that first sip gave me the "ahhh..." I needed. The only real downside I can pick at is the price. My meal and drink came out to about $20 which feels like a lot for the amount of food I got. So I sadly cannot say this will be a regular, but I'm excited to come back and try a new dish in the future.

What a gem and vegan oasis! Delicious pastries, cinnamon rolls, donuts and various desserts offered daily. A variety of fresh yummy juices. I tried a few dishes and they were all delicious! I wish I could have tried more. I was only in town for a few months. My favorites were the cinnamon rolls, the Buffalo mushrooms and the Peruvian Lomo. I did not expect the Peruvian Lomo to be so good but the sauce and the perfectly cooked toppings were so good! The “steak” in it was really good. Best vegan steak type meat I’ve ever had. Thank you to everyone at Vida for preparing and serving such awesome vegan food!

Our experience was delightful. The service is impeccable as well as the food. We ordered the thai chik'n sandwich with plantain and gorilla burger with fruit. Both amazing sandwiches. To drink, watermelon lemonade with tajin and coconut horchata, which is one of the best drinks I've ever tasted. Definitely going back.

Amazing vegan menu! We stopped on our way to the Sierras during lunch time on a Monday and we did not wait long at all for our food. A lot of people were coming through though which made me very happy to see so many people supporting a local vegan restaurant! I had the Colombian empanadas and they were as amazing the empanadas I had in Colombia. My husband had the crispy chick’n sandwich and fries. He said it was very tasty and the fries were the best he’s ever tasted (very high praise from him!). We’ll be back on our way home to try the donuts! We aren’t local, but we’ll definitely try to make our way back in the future if we can. Go support this amazing restaurant!

My favorite place to eat when I am not up to cooking. My goal is to try everything on the menu but the Gorilla Burger is the best, chicken and burger patties with piles of other good toppings. I never forget the garlic cheese fries. Now my daughters are hooked on my vegan spot and love the orange chick'n, columbian empanadas and native tacos. I could eat here everyday!

AMAZING FOOD! EXCELLENT SERVICE! ALL VEGAN! Vida Vegan has really outdone themselves, this is not only a great vegan restaurant, this is probably the best restaurant in general that I’ve eaten at in town. Everything is vegan BUT you will never know! I forgot it was vegan while eating and could only focus on how amazing everything tasted [It tasted just like meat]. If you are unsure about the menu they have an amazing staff who give great recommendations!

What a pleasant surprise to find an excellent vegan joint perfectly on our way between Fresno and LA, and with a South American cuisine theme at that! QR menu makes it easy to order, and there are some fun drink options. We had a filling dinner of Peruvian Lomo (protein on loaded fries) and the Colombian Platter (arepa, beans, protein, plátanos). We liked the spot so much that we returned for ice cream on the way back. Delicious, and will definitely return to try the other offerings!

Poor customer service It has been 2 times now. There waiting time was greater than 40 minutes to the table. After that much waiting they bring cold and soggy food to table. First time it happened I felt may be it was an oversight. But it happened again, seems like food was sitting without any attendant to bring. What was surprising that they brought the replacement dish in 5-10 minutes while the initial order took more than 40 minutes. Both the times we were waiting outside. Maybe they forget about people waiting in patio. Either ways bad customer service. It’s sad that they can’t improve their customer service as it’s hard to find a vegan restaurant in the first place. Now it’s on my list of restaurants to avoid unless no other option.

LOVED IT, I had their Pad See Ew with Crispy Seitan and it hit the spot for sure, everything was so well cooked and the seitan was just insanely good! Also had their Mudslide smoothie which was fantastic as well! Nice staff as well, highly recommended!

Simply one of the best vegan eateries I have been to. Everything is soo good and the service is great as well. I recommend this place and as I am a regular there there is much to choose from. I have my go to dishes (BBQ burger) also the coconut milk horchata is bomb! I also like the orange chicken noodles. Super good!

Never disappointed with my food. The owner is kind and always willing to engage in conversation. Everything on the menu is good and there is something for everyone- even non-vegans. The atmosphere is welcoming and calm, a great place to drink a pot of coffee and relax with friends.

Me and my wife have been eating plant based for quite a while now.. usually when you get something from a vegan restaurant it can be pricy but worth the money and trip for a mouthwatering experience... although here at vida vegan the food is super greasy and definitely not as great as they entrees look in the pictures... AVOID THE EMPANADAS & THE PERUVIAN LOMO... nothing but grease.. and a complete utter disappointment!

Got the Pad See Ew and the scrambled tofu. Pad See Ew was delicious, and tofu was okay, though not as flavorful as the Pad See Ew. Service was pretty fast as well.

Doughnuts here are delicious!!!! The peanut butter and chocolate is a fave for my son and I! Higher prices than local doughnut shops but well worth it! Haven't tried the food yet.... next stop for sure! Staff was helpful and friendly! Highly recommend! 🤓

I am super picky, and honestly it’s difficult for me to be please by any restaurant. This restaurant definitely deserves more than 5 stars, I was so surprised on how delicious the food was. The cinnamon buns were to die for!!! Not to mention the berry hibiscus, so delicious especially with this heat. The chikn sandwich I ordered was also a 10/10!!! I will definitely be ordering again, you definitely get what you pay for. Can not wait to keep bragging about this restaurant, and to once again order from here !!

What ever you do don't eat the cinnamon rolls, especially the ones with nuts. Please don't get them. Eat the other stuff. They only make so many cinnamon rolls and they go so fast. I love them. I try to get as many as possible for a couple days. Simply delicious!!

I loved this place when they had a limited menu at the farmers market but things have changed. I feel like their menu is a bit too big and the food shows. I'm mostly vegan and am so sick of places that just fill the plate with carbs and really skimp on the protein. Vida Vegan has become one of those places. We ordered pad see ew and orange chicken and I loved the protein on both the plates: both homemade and different protein sources made thoughtfully for the dish but the plate was maybe 10% full of protein. Vegans need protein too y'all! I understand that small businesses are doing their best to try and get by right now but that's not how you get the customers wanting more. To the owners: please add more protein to your plates - you've spent a long time perfecting fake chikn and we want more.

This place is my absolute favorite. The staff is so kind and helpful. The food is always amazing. I've taken so many non-vegan friends with me and they've gone back multiple times afterwards. If you're skeptical, just give it a try. You won't regret it.

This place will change your mind. I only go to Vida Vegan for vegan food. Food is great!!! Just go try it and you'll see. Try the avocado melt. Thier fries are so good. The Gorilla burger is a giant! In thier drink chiller by the door, try the drinks. I was surprised when I tried the green one. Very good. The pastries are not what you would expect for those of you that haven't had. Also good. Plenty of hand sanitizer at counter.

Okay, so as a first time visitor I absolutely love this place. My only regret in going here is that I live about 8 hr drive away and the deliciousness and quality of this place will haunt me. Pretty Versatile menu, and there were a lot of things I wanted to try. I settled on the spicy crispy chicken sandwich, it was delicious but not for the faint of heart, it was v spicy. Oh and the bloody Mary was one of the best I've ever had. 10/10 will go back here whenever I roll thru town

I was very disappointed. Also, since this restaurant is eco-friendly, I would have expected silverware made from wood not plastic:(

Amazing place the food is just awesome

I ordered the Sweet Heat Nashville Sandwhich and it was delicious. The sauce had a kick but was not over powering. The hand battered crispy chik’n was cooked well and had an excellent flavor. The combination of the patty and the sauce with the onions and pickles was a perfect blend. I opted for the garlic cheese fries as a side. The garlic was was delicious and the cheese was perfectly melted. I find it hard to get vegan cheese to melt but it was melted to perfection and blended well with the garlic sauce. I ordered a horchata to drink and as usual it was good. I enjoy horchatas and will go to Vida just for the drink. If you like a horchata with a kick, you can get one with rum. Vida Vegan did not disappoint and I highly recommend this dish. My partner got a purepa burger and it was delicious. He ordered the country potatoes for his side. I did not taste them but they were cooked to perfection. After he ate his food, he came for my fries. The whole meal was enjoyable and the outdoor seating was comfortable and the ambience was a delight.

Super amazing! I came to visit from the Reno, NV area and I needed an all vegan place due to allergies and wanted to find one due to the unavailability of vegan food let alone vegan baked goods in Reno. Their food and treats were phenomenal! I will go back every single time we visit! The food is well worth the money. The servers are super friendly and happy. They have a great selection of food and treats and their place carries a very positive vibe. I recommend this place to absolutely everyone!

Hands down the best Vegan food in Bakersfield, even my non vegan friends and family love it. The music and ambiance is relaxing. I'm looking forward to hanging out there more after this pandemic. They have a wide selection of delicious entrees and desserts. Burgers and Empanadas are. So yummy. You have to try their Phonudo, especially with it getting chilly out. Want iced coffee? They have that too! The Mexican Chocolate Frap and the Caramel frap are our faves. Its hard not to take one of each of the desserts to go. My kids can't get enough of their donuts.

Order the Mediterranean salad and it blew my expectations! There services and servers are wonderful. It has a vibe that you want to continue to support. Highly recommend investing the time to experience Vida Vegan

First of all let me say how much I love their cake we have order couple in the past , last weekend was my bday and bf order me my cake and I didn’t noticed until the next day it didn’t have the raspberry filling I wanted and I know mistakes happen but I wanted my cake that I order and paid for I was gonna order my wedding cake but now I’m disappointed in the customer service regarding my bday cake 😿they said they were gonna make me a new one and I wasn’t expecting a big one same size and they didn’t even call me like they said. Sad they didn’t make it up to me after all the money we spent and it’s a lot . Very pretty cake and delicious but this time hard not moist because no filling

Not a very good variety of foods

Yesterday evening my husband and I went to vida vegan. We ordered bbq chicken and Nashville chicken sandwich, mushroom wings, and numerous drinks. We are truck drivers and travel all across the U.S and have tasted quite a lot of plant based food. The food that we had from vida vegan was absolutely delicious and is definitely one to rival with it is by far my favorite restaurant out of them all. Also if you order mixed drinks from here ask for Bre she is exceptional at making a very delicious and strong drink, again the best prepared drink I have ever had! (Please Don't Forget to TIP!)I will certainly be returning here and veda vegan should definitely be a must try for you!

Food was absolutely delicious. I went for brunch on Saturday and was I in for a treat.They offer a brunch menu and a regular menu on the weekends. The food was amazing and the desserts were yummy too! I loved that their menu is varied! They offer so many amazing options. I need to go back for the Lomo Saltado and basically everything else lol Being that I made the trip from L.A. to Bakersfield I had to take home a box of donuts :) The service was top notch. Also, super happy that there was no wait time. Place is clean and I did not feel unsafe during these Covid times.

Pretty nice vegan restaurant in town. We ordered Thai curry and wontons. It was pretty good. I’m not a vegan Not even a vegetarian, but I still liked the food. The ambience is also pretty good. It has very positive vibes.

No matter how busy they are they still have always had excellent service in my opinion. I highly recommend the frozen Rosė if you like strawberries. I love that they are fully vegan and the atmosphere is on point. I also don't know any other place in town with such a strong social media presence. They also have tons of fun events just check their Instagram.

I am moving several hours away and am sad I won’t get to try everything on the menu before I leave. So far I’ve had the cinnamon roll French toast and the Colombian platter. My partner and I stopped here to have a meal while on a trip from San Fran to Vegas. We found Vida Vegan on HappyCow and saw the great reviews so we decided to give it a go. We ordered a burger & a salad and none of them was impressive to be honest. Fries were too oily and the juice was definitely not worth $7.5. Don’t get me wrong, the food was ok but nothing special. On the other hand the customer service was great. Friendly & quick. Positive experience overall but there are surely better vegan restaurants.

Overall, experience was fantastic! I came from South Carolina and never had vegan food but this place has opened my eyes! The highlight of our food were the fries, fries were simply good and crispy. I ordered the Nashville sandwhich and absolutely loved how it tasted, bbq sauce wasn’t too strong but just right. The dirty fries were pretty good so give it a try! Wrapped from my friend said it was a 3.5/5. The Philly melt was 4/5 that my friend ordered. The arepa 5/5. Horchata latte is sweet and tasty! I was in Bakersfield for a concert downtown and was happy to find Vida Eatery, a completely Vegan place as an option for me. (I'm a vegetarian.) It's always great to be at a place where you can literally eat anything on the menu, no questions asked. I was there on "Seafood" night which always excites me as that's one of the things I miss most from my omnivore days. I had the Fish and Chips with fries instead of the potato chips it normally comes with. (Fish and Chips comes from England after all and there "chips" is always fries so wanted to be as legit as possible. The dish was okay...It looked like Gardein fish fillets...certainly a generous portion of them...deep fried which I can do at home, but unfortunately they were overcooked and a little tough to eat. You kind of expect if you're getting the vegetarian meat option at a non-vegetarian restaurant, it's probably going to be overcooked as omnivore chefs don't always get that those items need to be cooked for shorter times than their meat counterparts, but overcooked at an all vegan place was a bit of a bummer. That's really all I had so all I can base the review on food-wise. It's a super casual order at the counter place...It was basically empty when I was there so it was a tiny bit disappointing that the table I was at hadn't been cleaned that well. An all vegan place is really a gift to those of us who are vegetarians or vegans and, with so much on the menu, and if we lived in town, I'm sure we'd try it again. I just wish my particular experience was better.

Not the first time Vida Vegan. The menu has a nice variety to chose from, and the food prices makes it to be a great value. The serving sizes are generous. I ordered Alfredo carbonara. This is so delicious! They have sweet treats and I also had horchata. I highly recommend for anyone! I am not vegan and I had went to dinner with my daughter who is vegan. A great hidden gem. Was passing through Bakersfield and looked up vegan food. So glad I found this place. I've eaten at a lot of vegan places and while I love most food it's always nice to see a place that has something unique that I haven't had before. Here I tried an arepa burger with plantains on it. And also had espresso rubbed vegan BBQ beef tips. So unique and tasty. Friendly service and comfy atmosphere. Huge menu and fair prices. Definitely check it out if you are passing through.

From walking in no one greated us. I was carrying a car seat so I walked straight to sit the baby on the seating bench. Had no idea if it was open to self seating, if we could order through our phones. The two girls behind the counter were having a conversation, finally we noticed the QR codes to view the menu. After a few minutes of reviewing the menu and not being approached for info about the place we decided on the lunch specials which the menu states “everyday from 11 am to 3pm”. Still having no acknowledgment a family walks in goes straight to the counter and orders I hear The cashier mention a brunch menu. We go up to order only to find out the lunch specials are only Monday through Friday which most places are but because it doesn’t say anywhere only Monday through Friday we thought everyday included Saturday and Sunday. We Finally ordered our food. Presentation is great food was tasty. I go to the restroom and guess what no toilet paper or paper towels. The backup toilet paper slot was also empty which tells me this must have been empty for a while. We were the only customers aside from the family of 4 that walked in. My friend had asked for ranch instead of ketchup they told her it would be an additional.50 cents she got up went to purchase it turned out to be .54 cents she didn’t have the .04 cents so she had to break a dollar. We Finished our meal an hour later and realized they never once bothered to check in. I had the Alfredo pasta was okay kind of runny but good in taste, the ABLT was good more like a ham and which than bacon. The bean dip was good recommend the tortilla chips vS the cucumber.

I went with my boyfriend to this place for different business, but we decided to give the vegan food a try….. we were blown away by how savory the food was it was absolutely delicious! As a person who is not accustomed to vegan food I can say this surely is one of the best restaurants in general that I have ever eaten at. The atmosphere is so serene and chill. The servers are amazing at their job and very helpful. This place is 100/100 try their horchata latte that is the epitome of dessert and refreshing!

As a family who isn't vegan, but lactose intolerant, this place is a huge hit! Their food is amazing, and so creative. They also make their own ice cream and it's off the charts. The Mexican hot chocolate ice cream and the horchata ice cream are our favorites, but they all are really lovely tasting, especially with how little Bakersfield offers for vegan ice cream. Don't forget to try the strawberry horchata, we love that too! Everyone who works here is also incredibly friendly and helpful. 10/10!
