Traditional food but the menu is large to suit everyone. It's really good food, service and help are good and was not too busy at the lunch hour. Homestyle cooking,, and the salads are very good and plentiful portion sizes of all servings on the plate. Hope you enjoy this well established and nice restaurant.

Lorene’s has been here for some time. In the past I have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here. It has always been pretty good food. Currently they only are open for Breakfast and Lunch. I ordered the breakfast sampler plate. Comes with bacon 🥓, hot link, eggs any style, hash browns and French toast. It was really good, couldn’t eat it all. The only thing disappointing was the French toast wasn’t very warm, nevertheless, I ate it. Kathy, my waitress did a wonderful job, she was a pleasure.

It was a nice experience, nice friendly staff we were well attended. Good fresh breakfast with interesting items to look at.

I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. I had thr chorizo plate and it was delicious. They give you this yummy salsa which is actually spicy. I didn't like the chicken for the kids. They didn't greet us when we walked in. I'm getting use to it but its always nice when they do greet you.

Bad !! We waited too long to get our order taken and then to get a refill on our coffee. A gentleman who came in and was seated about fifteen minutes after us had not only got his coffee right away, he ga e his order and got his food before we even gave our order!!! Then when we finally got our food not long after we ordered it well turned out that we got it quickly because it wasn't completely cooked. My sausage was pink and my potatoes were as though they were cooked for two minutes, not brown and cooked like potatoes are supposed to be and they were supposed to be county potatoes with bellpepper and onion, two small bellpepper chunks and no onion at all. The biscuits and gravy had no taste !!!!! I will not go back there.

This place is very affordable, their menu is easy to read, all the things I've tried so far have been good. This is a whole family any age type of restaurant, staff members are always nice and friendly.

This was my first time at Lorene's. I had a fantastic vegetarian sandwich, fries, and iced tea. Our waitress was excellent. My friend and I had such a great time. Unfortunately, we didn't know they close mid-afternoon. I think we held them up from closing but they were as gracious as could be. I will definitely go back.

The fish and chips were excellent, wasn't so happy with one of the waitress. She refused to bring me napkins and silverware untill the food came out lol but I needed napkins for the spilt coffee lmbo all in all great food and the new server we got was excellent

We waited 5 minutes to be sat and could literally see staff looking at us and ignoring us until someone finally came up. We were the only ones up front. Finally get sat and brought drinks and we’re asked if we needed time to look at the menu. We said yes. It’s a big menu and our first time here. Well 20 minutes go by and we were still sitting waiting. A waitress finally comes down our row with a coffee pot in hand asking every other table if they are doing okay but when she gets to our she just looks at us and walks a way. Not a word spoken. So yeah we left. Absolutely ridiculous!

The servers have friends come in and they spend most of the time with them. I have gotten tired of waiting and got my own silverware after the food.

My daughter and I came by for a nice father-daughter breakfast time together. Both of us ordered breakfast with over-easy eggs. The eggs were not cooked properly in both of our orders and we simply moved the uncooked eggs from our plates. when the servers inquired if everything was OK, we showed her the uncooked eggs in our orders and she stated she would talk to her manager. A short moment later, the server came in only to tell us that maybe we should have ordered eggs cooked over-medium instead of over-easy. I did not respond but should have told her that instead her cook should learn how to properly cook eggs. The manager never came to our table to say a word and although this might not be a big deal to some, the that breakfast for two, with uncooked eggs, was a sign that helped identify for $41 a restaurant where I would never eat again. A simple touch of courtesy would have made up for the bad experience.

So the portions were just right for satisfying an appetite, however for the price it was a bit small. Coffee which is normally 2 bucks at cafes across the area were 3.40 at this location. I only have one glass, so that was a bit up there for a plain drip brew coffee. The food flavor was great, nothing can be improved for what was served. Kudos to the cook for the well made food. The pie display that used to be in front no longer works and is in pieces. I didn't even ask if they had pies. Just seeing the display looking like that made it sad to think of. The location looks the same as it did 5 years ago. No updates, improvements or changes of any kind it seems.

We had gone there on March 12, 2020. We had a long ride and we were a bit hungry. My brother ordered the the Chili Verda Omelet abt 13 dollars. The Chili Verda was delicious, But I was way too hot to enjoy and along with it came some type of fried potatoes and he said they were good. Alo what came with that meal was 2 biscuits and a white gravy. My brother said they were funny tastings, he said like they were old, he did not eat them. I just ordered 2 scrambled eggs and I asked for 2 pcs of crispy toast. Well when I got my food my toast was not crispy and I made them make me some new ones. My scrambled eggs were ok. But the coffee was water down. I would like to know why we can't go to a restaurant and not get a decent cup of coffee? We would love to have a cup of coffee that is going to wake us up. We have gone to many restaurants in Bakersfield and all we get is watered down bitter coffee. Does anyone in this town make a good cup of coffee with the food we order?

Dead, one other customer on a Saturday at 2:30 pm. Kids ordered cheese burgers (came with no cheese as requested and no thousand Island as told) kids liked it anyways. Husband got meat skillet with biscuits and gravy. Skillet was good gravy was tasteless. I got a sandwich with salad, salad was good sandwich was plain. Place was okay.

Recommended by coworker. Now I've been there about 3 times ordering something different each time and they never disappoint. Very good breakfast sandwich . Simple menu and great service

I wish the cleanest restaurant I've ever been in the service was perfect and the food was amazing 🤩
