I did not think that I could find such a wonderful hotel in Basra! Right as we entered, the security staff were very welcoming, friendly and polite. The reception was very nice too. Most of the staff spoke English, so that's a massive plus. The rooms are huge even the standard ones. Despite the extremely warm temperature outside, the temperature inside was very pleasant. The restaurants had great options so there was hardly a need to go out. Similarly, despite the hotel being fairly busy, one could barely hear anything in the room. For a light sleeper like me, this was key. Once again, I would like to commend on the security staff! They were all extremely professional and polite. The only draw back was that the Internet was weak, but that seems to be an issue everywhere in the city. Will definitely stay here again if I even travel to Basra again.

I tried the resturant in Ramadan for Ifftar and the buffet was not good: 1-price is IQD 60K / person is very expensive in Iraq comparing with other hotels even in Baghdad or Erbil, 2- Quality of food is not tasty, 3- Few Varieties, 3- 70% for appetizers, 4- Juices are artificial, not natural. Needs more improvement in Restaurant, I didnt try the rest of the hotel yet.

The pros : very nice surprise for my first visit, excellent level of comfort, spacious rooms, welcome amenity (local sweets and fruits), high level of security to enter the various sections of the hotel. The cons : was informed at check in that the hotel was not participating in the My Millennium program, quite strange considering the signage on some counters.

The price of booking and staying in this hotel is very very expensive compared to the quality of its services in addition to its location and in the city of Basra, which does not have any tourist facility and is very dangerous! The tap water is very salty, you can stay in Dubai in one of the hotels that can offer the same quality as this hotel, but at a quarter of the price of this hotel!

Nice hotel in Basra. The hotel is new and modern, meets the international standard. The staff is extremely friendly. The rooms are very modern and clean. The security check is very strict, so you feel in good hands at all times. The food in the restaurant is of good quality.

Its good okay the stuff inside r super nice but they didn’t let us enter our birthday cake unless we pay or we order food in abt like 45,00iq lol like seriously? Also they need to work on their a lil bit more

5-star hotel Good location, a nice lobby, very clean, the staff is very helpful, and the breakfast area and choices are good and very comfortable beds.

The hotel was wonderful. It was better than expected, the price was amazing. the restaurant was fantastic, the food was delicious and well presented, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you Grand millennium, we will come again.

Excellent service with very comfortable rooms but there's no gardens or open spaces inside hotel, also some meals were under expectations! In total, there's no better option in basra and whole southern area; he is the best.

I recently visited this hotel and unfortunately had a terrible experience with their security searching service. They use dogs to sniff the cars and required my car hood to be opened for inspection. The person performing the search did not speak Arabic or English and ended up breaking my car hood stay lever in the process. When I brought this up to the hotel staff, they told me to talk to the manager, but unfortunately, the head of security only promised to replace the broken part and neglected to do so for months. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and accountability demonstrated by this hotel. It is unacceptable that their security measures caused damage to my car, and even more unacceptable that they failed to follow through on their promises to rectify the situation. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel, as their disregard for customer satisfaction and safety is truly concerning.

Multiple restaurants. Excellent food. Pool and leisure facilities. Lovely garden in the centre of Basra. Very secure.

I have stayed here over 3 consecutive weekends. On each occasion, the rooms were not cleaned and made down, and the water tea coffee etc were not replenished. Food at the restaurant, staff etc are first class though.

I would like to excel my thanks and Gratitude to your hotel team for wonderful experience I have spent there with my team in a short time from Aug 4th to Aug 6th, 2022 . Despite the fact that the hotel was not fully operated with the planned and available facilities, but we felt the maximum comfort and best service ever experienced, and that’s include restaurant, room service, taxi help and especially the front office. After a long time a good , neat place to stay in Basrah opened. I hope they maintain it. It’s a beautiful hotel with ideal size of rooms and bathroom. Very nice fitting and fixtures. Good toiletries and quality maintained. The hotel had soft opening so the entire premises is not accessible yet but overall fantastic experience. Stayed there 2 nights 25 & 26 September and was worth. For sure next visit the stay would be in the same hotel.

It was my first stay there, and i loved it It was an issue during check-in from Mr. Waleed With his attitude, but in the end i would like to Thank Mr. Ellie as he solve the problem and made my stay perfect.

It was a terrible experience we had to take cover in the dining room whilst the insurgents tried to gathwr pace we managed to re grouo fight them off and reach base the hotel owner is due to stand trial for war crimes

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. The rooms are spectacular, clean, comfortable and organized. Service was great during check in and check out. The gym was well equipped; and I relaxed after my workout in the sauna and jacuzzi. On both nights I chose to have dinner at Salaat Al Asmak, the hotel's Mesopotamian restaurant. I'm a fan of Mesopotamian food so I didn't feel the need to try another restaurant. I found the usher at the entrance (a guy with glasses) a bit cold and dismissive on night 1. His attitude slightly improved on night 2. I had the potatoes with meat (starter) on night 1. It was AMAZING. The meat was tender and juicy - definitely packed with flavour. The potatoes were delicious. I had the spicy fish on the second night. It was average. I was a little disappointed by the fish because I'd heard so many positive things about Basra fish! On both nights, my waiter was Ali Al Rabj (hope I got that right). He was truly wonderful and welcoming. A delight. Breakfast is usually served in a different restaurant. They had a variety of options as part of their buffet. Service once again, was impeccable. No dairy free milk options were available on display.

Finally the is a 5-stars hotel in Basra. Services is great, location is very good, rooms are clean, staff are pros, hotel facilities are very good and the facility is highly secured. I tried several restaurants at the hotel and all were very good, and reasonably priced. Highly recommended if you are visiting Basra.

Amazing hotel, resturants, delicious food and good service

The hotel is very nice .. but the service is below than ZERO and it’s a shame for the Millennium hotels, we have a big event in Basra and when I checked in they gave us rooms for the disabled people and they are refusing to change it or even make any solution for the shower in the bathroom.. as the guest relations manager said “also the disabled people are same us so what the problem if we feel about them” And I’ll attach the photos how we fixed it ourselves BTW our booking is for 23 days But the hotel is very clean and the food is great to be honest
