One of the oldest parish church in the province of Batangas. The architectural design can be dated back during spanish colonial era. Inside the church you will find tombs of dead parochial priest that serve on the church.

Balayan Church is one of the Spanish colonial era churches in the province of Batangas. It is one of the best churches to include in your Visita Iglesia. If you notice the belfry has a different color than the church facade. It is because the belfry was reconstructed using bricks while the facade is made from stone and corals.

This is one of the known landmarks in Balayan. Many Catholics visit this Church during Lenten Season and this is also a well known pilgrimage site.

The town's main Spanish era Catholic church was built with thick adobe stone slabs which was normal then in church structures in the 1700s. Some improvements and changes were made in recent years but evidently as a whole one can visualize the history inside and out.

The Parish Church of Immaculate Conception, (Spanish: Iglesia Parroquial de la Inmaculada Concepción) also known as Balayan Church, is a Parish Church in the town of Balayan, Batangas in the Philippines, within the Archdiocese of Lipa. The church is listed as a National Cultural Treasure as its construction was supervised by Filipino Seculars during the Spanish Colonial Period.

A beautiful chruch surrounder by heritage buildings in Balayan. It was surreal going there as the place is quiet. Not much people by the way.

Beautiful place don't go looking for a mass in English. Unless you can understand the Tagalog you will not be able to understand the sermon.

It is just proper to start the 21st birthday celebration of my son with a visit to Immaculate Conception Church in Balayan, Batangas. Early this year, Pope Francis granted plenary indulgence to Filipinos visiting any of the 500+ Jubilee churches in the country and this church under the Archdiocese of Lipa is one of them. We got a bit lost going to the church because of numerous one-way signages. But parking is ample. The clergy is strict in implementing social distancing inside even if we come in as one group (6 family members). We prayed the rosary and offered donation and prayers for the dead. There are a number of children outside asking for money. The baroque design is very evident inside and outside. A bit similar in structure to the San Antonio de Padua Parish in Pila Laguna.

I love the architectural structure of this church. A Pre-hispanic church still stood the test of the time. Closed during our visit NCOV19 Pandemic 26Sept20
