My sister Gloria had a very good experience. She was very I’ll when she arrived. The nursing staff, PT & OT’s provided extraordinary care and the food was delicious 😋 Thank you to everyone at Kindred Hospital.

I was visiting one of my close relatives where she was receiving good care from the the nurses and the doctors. They were very attentive to both me and my relatives request and treated us very nicely. I appreciate all the staff who helped my relative out during his stay.

When my “93 year-old uncle” was still alive he was taken great care of by the nurses and doctors. Though you and your family knew that he won’t live long, the nurses and staff made sure that he had a comfortable and safe stay at Kindred Baldwin Park and the level of care he received was high 🙏

Kindred BP one of the Best hospitals my mom has being at in two year period. Doctors and nurses are very kind and professional with a few exceptions but mostly all of them know what they are doing. However, the hussle comes at the time/ after discharge ( but it is important to mention that thanks to Kindred BP my mom finally came home Thank you!!! ). Gretta Lee who is in charge of discharge didnt want to wait for me a day to learn how to feed my mom- she stated that if that happend I would have to pay a day- her usual technique. For this, she mentioned that I could watched a you tube video to feed her- what? How professional this is? She asked me for a particular pharmacy A for prescription and stated that Merian Apolinario nurse practitioner was going to do/ send (vía was not stated) a prescription which they never did. I called KBP during the wekend and no one helped me out because my mom was not a patient anymore. The only helpful and professional ones here were front desk - Viviana and Cristina, thank you!!! Days later, I found a writen prescription on an envelope took it to a 24 hour pharmacy B. Meanwhile ASAP Home Health which was assigned to me never came to help. Grace Summer person in charge didnt help at all because she did not want to or couldnt because the treatment was not stated on the medical report. Arent nurse practitioners responsible to do and know how to do a medical report right? I called Gretta on Monday for insulin approval on pharmacy B and stated that since I failed to take prescription to pharmacy A as we had agreed she would ask Merian to send/ call pharmacy A for prescription. I checked one hour later as she told me to do so, no récord was on file nor anything was ready. Two, three hours later passed and my mom ended in the hospital with 514 sugar high. Next day, I talked to Gretta and told her about the prescription and she said I was saying Merian was lying hanged on me and called the pharmacy. What happended? Prescription was never ready because the name was right but Last names were different- a totally different person. They knew about the mistake made, corrected it but one more time with a mispelled Last name- no récord, medicine on file again...????? In addition, to no training and no prescription my mom was sent home with no medical/ needed supplies at all. What a dismissiveness, unprofessionalism and unethical way of People in charge of taking care of the sick, our loved ones.

This place is horrible. DO NOT take your family here. They basically let my brother pass here. He never had a steady nurse. They were always random because they didn’t have staff so every nurse was “new” and didn’t know his case. They supposedly didn’t let anyone visit without a negative Covid test but every time I went they didn’t ask me for proof. The day my brother passed 20 mins later they came in asking me what funeral home I wanted him in. They’re very rude and unprofessional. This place should be shut down. Again PLEASE DONT LET YOUR FAMILY COME HERE. You will regret it. The public health department is currently investigating them for what happened to my brother.

I changed my mind about this hospital. Doing the pandemic, when my grandmother was hospitalized here, there was no visitation. The staffs were very friendly and their contacts were very prompt. Now my aunt has long term issues and she is hospitalized here, the nurse is very unfriendly. There one nurse see.s like she does not want to do anything. I have not spoken to a doctor. I had asked many times to have the doctor call me. No one call. They are also not following orders to get the patients better. They are supposed to do a lot more physical therapy (it can be done when she was in ICU), also need to taper her off the ventilator, but they are not doing it. I'm very very disappointed at their lack of service

I have been visiting a loved one, being treated at this hospital for just over a month now, each and everyday. And each and everyday, I have watched a number of nurses and medical professionals tend to my loved one with the best of care, demeanor, professionalism, and expertise. Although we have a long way to go with their recovery and rehabilitation... thanks to the hospital's Physical Therapist, Letty, there is encouraging progress. Knowing the family and friends are a big part to the rehabilitation process, Letty, even takes the time to walk then though the process, while she connects, and cares for the patient at the same time. She has such an amazing bedside manner, has unbelievable experience, and truly appears to love what she does. These traits are undeniably what makes her stand out! Thank you Kindred!

Any medical facility is going to have good & bad. My husband experienced both at this facility, but the good outweighed the bad, and I would recommend this facility to friends and family should they need to be in a long term acute care facility. The start of my husband's hospitalization was a bit rough- they didn't have any pillows for him for a full 24 hours- boggles my mind. So he wasn't repositioned for all that time and my husband did develop a few small pressure ulcers from lack of repositioning from the first week or so that he was there. It would sometimes take a very long time to get help for him to get cleaned up as well. I would bring up health issues/concerns with nurses and some were very good at following through with doctors, and some were not. When I asked the nurses for the doctors to call me so that I could speak to them about my husband's condition it rarely happened. Eventually, by being at my husband's bedside every day, I got to know the doctors in person and was able to talk to them directly which was helpful for my husband's care. Dr. Stephen Chen was especially helpful, friendly and receptive, I was happy he was managing my husband's care. Having said all that, some staff really went above and beyond and I did feel that overall the staff truly cared for their patients. The biggest stand out was Letty C. the physical therapist. She was pretty amazing and got my husband to do things I haven't seen him do in years. She taught me what to do at home to help his progress and life at home is much more vibrant now! Thank you Letty! She's a gem at that facility. Raymond, the personal relations person and Linda the unit manager really listened to my concerns and I saw that they really did try to improve the issues that came up for my husband's care. I do appreciate that. And the bedside staff - Quinta, Bridgette, Melissa, ICU nurse Doris, Amelia, Jorge, Trisha, Gerardo, and more... friendly, helpful & truly caring staff. Even the cleaning staff like Gloria would be so welcoming and friendly. Most of the RT's were nice too, I think I only had a tough time with an RT "J" ... but the rest were great, Ron, Erik, Asanka, & Gerry helped a lot with getting my husband weaned off the vent and home! Oh, and the case manager Gretta, she really worked a lot to not delay my husband's discharge and get him home. Thank you to all the staff (mentioned and not mentioned, sorry, I did forget some names) who helped my husband recuperate and come home, God bless you :)

My sister had the best experience in Kindred hospital at Baldwin Park when she was terribly sick from respiratory failure. The medical team that took care of her made miracles and was able to restore her voice and can clearly talk . Now that she was discharge ,and making her way to recovery in a skilled rehabilitation facility. This hospital will be the choice for patients who will need long term care.

This hospital Is clean and organized. The physical therapy program has helped my husband walk again. Special thank you to the physical therapist Letty C. in particular. She was always checking in and making sure he was okay when I wasn’t there. I appreciate her. She is patient, motivating, and genuinely cares about her patients.

I’ve been to many hospitals before but this one by far is the best. Every single employee I interacted with was very professional and polite. Front desk always resolved every issue that I had and always went above and beyond. I don’t remember the Dr. Name, he’s Indian I believe but was literally the best! My dad was discharged last week but I’ll always remember this place. Thank you guys!

My experience in Kindred hospital in Baldwin park is worth saying that the medical staff, nurses were all friendly with me. I may have some issues with other patients, but I just wipe it away. I am now in another home to continue my care but kindred is a name for nice thoughts..

Front desk staff does not follow any instructions/requests made by P.O.A, by phone , or by filling out a form with the specific requests for the patient(admitted family member, etc). The nurses that “take care” of the patients are more concerned about not getting in trouble for not doing their job properly instead of actually doing their job properly & following through with anything asked of from patients or family members of the patient. Anyone can go in the place & visit anyone. List of permitted visitors never gets checked upon front desk check in. They don’t even ask for identification.

If there was an option for a negative star that would be my choice. The hospital was unkept. There was so much going on no privacy. The patients had no peace how are they supposed to heal. The staff did the minimum. Bedside manner was very cold and uncaring. They are in the wrong profession.

This facility is very nice because the environment s are great. The physicians are top notch, Dr Stephen Chen, Dr Jeffrie Chen, Dr Sangor Arora, Dr Sidhom, and Dr Chang are very professional, They take good care of my dad. The nurse are very nice and the administration staffs are also professional. You have any questions, they will be happy to answer it. They have a very strict safety protocol to protect the patients and its employees. Everyone must put on a gown to enter the patients room, no exceptions. I highly recommend Kindred Baldwin Park to everybody for their love one to rehab there. The facility is very accommodating and the respiratory therapists are great too.

Thank you ICU staff, especially Sally for making my grandmother comfortable here. Everyone is very kind and supportive at this hospital. Very clean and organized, nothing like a nursing home. I understand there are some bad reviews, mostly saying their loved ones passed, etc, but you have to understand that many patients are transferred here because they are already very ill and need intensive care. They took great care of my grandmother here, if you are feeling skeptical, go check it out and ask questions. Case workers were also very helpful. Thank you again ICU staff.

I had a wonderful experience at Kindred Baldwin Park. The staff is fabulous; very professional, caring, and kind. They were always accommodating to all my needs and concerns. The facility is VERY clean and well maintained. The food was absolutely fantastic and really makes me want to stay. My room in Unit 200 was very nice. The ONLY negative aspect to my entire stay was that the room was cold, but the staff always supplied me with as many blankets as I wanted. I know that these comments make Kindred Hospital Baldwin Park sound stellar, but the fact is, this hospital, really is and so was my stay.

I complained and my mom was dead 2 days later. One nurse was mocking me and said "Hiiiiiii" at me from across the room when I was standing at my moms room door. She was puffy when she was brought in and it took them almost two weeks to say her kidneys are failing. They said they had no idea why she was puffy so they were clueless. They threw her blanket and plant and get well card that was taped on the wall. They didn't even call me and tell me to come and get it they just threw it away.

Had a wonderful experience during my visit at Kindred Hospital Baldwin Park, where I paid a visit to my good friend David Hongo when he was still receiving care and treatment there. Every single nurse I interacted with was very professional, helpful, accommodating, and caring, not to mention that the facility is well-maintained and very clean! Thank you to all the staff who helped David with his therapy. Because of the wonderful help and care he's received from the Respiratory Therapy and Rehabilitation teams at Baldwin Park Kindred Hospital, he can now talk and walk.

To whom is may concern, I would like to express my extreme gratitude for the assigned case manager, Agnes, at Kindred Baldwin Park, assigned to my mother. Ms. Agnes has been very diligent in coordinating the MRI authorization with Kaiser Permanente. Every day since 31 Jan, Agnes has been making phone calls, faxing the request to every and all numbers a Kaiser rep would tell her to send them. She would call every day to follow up to her request and called me several times a day to keep me updated. Finally we got success today in getting an appointment for my mom's MRI. I would like to ensure Agnes is recognized for her all her efforts and to know how grateful my brother and I are. Thank you, Catherine

I was here in August of this year, I noticed a change for the better. With an exception, my medication was missed for three days.. one of the Nurses Anthony let me know that he did not appreciate me reporting to my doctor. Then the next thing I know he called the psychiatrist and reported me as a person with psychiatric needs.the psychiatrist was glaring at me and asking why my doctor had me on anxiety medication. I take 7.5 mg twice a day. I told her to call my doctor and ask him. She then said so you are refusing to answer, I said according to Hippa I did not need to answer that question. She then said that the Nurse Anthony reported to her that I sit there and cry all day. I never cried when I was there. Anthony call her and said that I was asking for more anxiety medication. That is not true.. Anthony was saying yes you did! My doctor visits me every day or every other day and I ask my Dr when I need something. I don’t know why if it was true why he did not call my doctor.. Please ask any one of your employees if they ever seen me cry you will find the truth there. When my doctor arrived he was told that there was a mistake and the person that they meant to report was the person in BED “B”. This was very upsetting, I was being judged by a lier and a person that can not do a proper evaluation. As she told employees that I was bi polar and could not stay focus.. This is the memory I will always have of Kindred. It’s ashamed because they are so many wonderful employees that work very hard to do a good job. People like Ray, William, Maria, Gloria just to name a few. I need to stay an additional two weeks, My trust in Kindred turned into fear.

It was a rough start at this facility in the beginning of my father's care. I was not pleased that during my frequent visits to see him that he had fresh and/or dried poop that he's been sitting in for who knows how long. There's definitely room for improvement for that. However, when speaking to designated individuals to help listen to my concerns, prompt actions were taken and I'm forever grateful. The amount of kindness, care and the duty of going "far and beyond" that my father and I have experienced were impeccable. From the front desk ladies greeting you with a smile, nurse practitioners and nurses being professional yet bubbly, representatives being adamant with being proactive with concerns, physical/occupational/speech therapists just being great at what they do, and overall staff being friendly, it's a welcoming place. I would like to give specific individuals a shout-out but there's so much of them to name! It only speaks to the culture that they are constantly building and adapting. Much love to you all.

We had an overall good experience and would recomend Kindred Baldwin Park to everyone. My wife just returned home after a month stay for wound care and rehab. She was well treated and received the treatment she needed. Its an older facility and the rooms arn't large, but was very clean and well maintained. A few were a little hard to understand but all the nursing staff was very friendly and professional. Our case manager Agnes went above and beyond dealing with insurance and setting us up with what we needed for her return home.
