First of all, this place is huge, a lot of space to eat foods. And its all about seafood. You can eat rice, vegetables, sambal, sayur asem as much as you like (all of these just for 7000 rupiah). But for every seafood you eat, its charged with their own price, which is kinda expensive (around 80k rupiah). The taste of the food is good i think (8/10). The parking space is also huge, dont worry about the parking space. Try it if you have a deep pocket, and wanna have a taste of a good seafood.

The food taste is so so for me. I ordered ikan bakar bumbu kuning and cumi goreng tepung along with cah kangkung, nasgor seafood. I only like cumi goreng tepung and their nasi goreng seafood. The grilled fish is below my expectation. But if you wanna try, you can give it a shot.

I choose Torani when I came to Balikpapan simply because it is the only restaurant that still open when me and my colleague arrived at 9PM. But boy were we in for a big delightful surprise. Since we haven't had dinner, we ordered Black Pepper Crabs, fried calamari and fried rice with jumbo orange juice to wash it all down. The size of the serving are quite big especially for the crabs. The gave us 3 crabs in 1 serving. The Black Pepper sauce was very spot on and the crabs were very juicy and fresh (and big too). Compared to all the crab that I have had, it seems like the shell from this particular local crabs is thinner than average. Making it easier to crack open. The restaurant it self has a so-so atmosphere, because to be absolutely honest, no one pay much attention on the atmosphere or the decor of this type of restaurant. Especially if the food are this good. Owh.... If you want to choose your own seafood ingredients, they also have many ponds to contain the life sea creature that they offer.
