(Translated by Google) Very educational for young and old. Especially knocking stones for fossils on the rubble in front of the museum is great fun. Hammer and chisel can be borrowed from the museum. Entry is free.

We came here because of the museum. We found it very interesting and were impressed by how large and thick fossilized fossils there were. And entry is free, really great for free! It's worth taking a trip here. There is a kind of pit near the parking lot where you can search for it yourself. You can either bring your own hammer, chisel and safety glasses, or rent them for money at the museum entrance. We found some things without any tools, just turned over a few stones and we had complete fossilizations.

Very informative in-house museum with a didactically appealing exhibition on limestone mining at nearby Plettenberg. In addition, exceptional and rare fossil finds from the Swabian Jura are shown. In front of the museum there is a tapping site with Posidonia schist from the Lias Epsilon (Lower Jurassic), where children in particular can go looking for fossils themselves. Also worth mentioning is the free entry and the friendly staff.

A must for all young paleontologists. It was difficult to remove our 11-year-old son from the “digging site”.

We first went to the tapping place with our daughter, where we had a lot of fun. She and we were thrilled by what came out when we tapped. Afterwards we went to the museum, where we also found it very exciting and interesting.

A recommended museum! There is a lot to see and discover here. There is no entry fee! We were let in even though it wasn't opening yet. Very nice, helpful people. A big praise!!!

We were allowed into the museum even though it was actually closed on Monday. And we were also given the tools for pounding stones. A really big compliment and thank you to the information employee, otherwise we would have driven a good 1.5 hours (simply) for free! This really doesn't exist everywhere!!!

(Translated by Google) Fossil museum, it's free, super friendly staff, outside there is a place to look for fossils. Very entertaining (not only for children).

First of all, a big thank you to the friendly staff at the entrance to the museum. Given that there is free entry, the exhibition is fantastic!👍👍👍 When we searched the knocking area, we found a beautiful ammonite right at the first stone. And although we were told right away when we borrowed the tools (for a small deposit, which was extremely reasonable and perfectly fine) that the material had been there since the fall and had already been carefully searched and chopped down, we still recorded plenty of finds can. These included some beautiful pyrites and also very well-preserved shells and ammonites. Thank you very much for this beautiful day and keep it up! 5 stars is actually an understatement 👍👍👍👍👍

Really great museum. Lots of different fossils and everything explained very well. You can linger here. The highlight is the square in front of the museum. Here, young and old can search for fossils themselves with a hammer and chisel (which can be borrowed for free in the museum) and then keep them

The museum was free and there were no waiting times. At reception you were provided with flyers and information. Elevator for strollers available. It was very interesting. The kids had the most fun tapping with a hammer and chisel. We already had material with us. A detour there is worth it.

Kleines aber feines Museum. Kostenloser Eintritt.

I was at the Fossil Museum on Whit Sunday with my granddaughter. A really impressive exhibition, also suitable for school children, which can be visited free of charge. Beautiful exhibits, everything very nicely prepared and explained. Very modern and clean atmosphere. I would also particularly like to praise the two museum supervisors. Very friendly, very patient. We then went back to the (also free) knocking area and took a few more “treasures” with us. It was a great experience, absolutely recommended!

Great fun! Also that you can "excavate" your own fossils! Edit: A reply from the owner! Thank you for reliving my holiday almost 4 years ago. My kids still sometimes talk about the visit and we still have some fossils laying on the display table

(Translated by Google) A museum worth visiting. Admission is free. And there are many exhibits to see. We were there with our kids. They were excited. Except that they have seen a lot, they were allowed to observe some rocks, grains of sand, bee, fly under a microscope. They felt like little explorers. In addition there is a very friendly museum supervisor who can tell a lot about the museum.

(Translated by Google) A collection of special fossils created by Holcim, a private company, which can be visited for free 👍. In addition, in front of the building, there is a place where everyone can hunt for fossils to their heart's content. (Original) Egy magán cég a Holcim által létrehozott, különleges fosszíliákból álló gyűjtemény, mely ingyen látogatható 👍. Ráadásul az épület előtt található egy pala pattintó-, tördelő hely, ahol mindenki kedvére vadászhat a fosszíliákra
