I absolutely loved this place 🥰. It cost me 52€ for the entire day so I could ride up and down as much as I wanted (not that i really did). Tho on their website it said its capacity is limited due to covid yet we were all packed in there like sardines. The view was absolutely phenomenal, worth every cent.

This is an expansive place, and the experience depends on the weather and how active / adventurous you are. We were there on the rainy morning, and the cable car was not in operations. We waited for some time, and manage to reach the submit around 11:30 am. The view is limited due to the weather. We spent some time in a restaurant at the glacier area, with average food but warm and nice ambiance. When the weather became sunny, we spent some good time with our kids playing with free sledge and walking around to enjoy with the scenery. If you are more adventurous, they are a number of hiking routes for better sightseeing or explorations. Please bring warm clothes, it is very cool during summer months.

Great experience. Very modern cable car ride. Large car with expansive windows for a great view of the area (when not in clouds) as well as a small portion of glass floor. Is a little expensive but worth it for the views at the top as well as on the way up. Recommend going very early in the morning but be flexible with plans depending on the weather. Staff friendly and helpful.

Don’t miss this marvel of engineering. The cable car up to the highest summit in Germany is smooth, comfortable and fast. The views are unparalleled. Amazing ride you must do. Big enough car that even if you are afraid of heights you shouldn’t have a problem. The stable ride only has one tower in the middle where the smooth motion changes slightly. No worries!

People complain about the price of the tickets, but let me tell you, on a clear day, the views are breathtaking. We skipped the glacier part because, honestly, the glacier is all but gone. We got there early, got a great parking spot, cable car wasnt crowded, was the best. Literally after an hour or so parking lot was full, cable cars were full, area started filling up so we left. Get there early and enjoy the views.

This is awesome place and highest point in Germany. You can go here by using cable car which cost you around 68Euro per person. At the top the atmosphere is really cool and around 6°C You can also enjoy snow slides here. There is a restaurant on top. You must reach here in first half of the day so you get the tickets and parking space.

Amazing views. Public Carpark. You can hike up the summit, or you can take the old train through the tunnels or use the new cable car up and down. You can try ride the train up and take the cable car down. But the cable car is much faster and have better view than the slow train.

Great place to visit any time of the year. Get your tickets ahead of time on the website so you can walk right in. Check the weather ahead of time and bring the appropriate clothing. You can enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat at the top. Transfer over to the glacier stop for a different view.

Great experience and a must do even if you're not in the area. We went on a Tuesday right after Easter and it's was pretty empty as the temperature wasn't the best. We tried going the day before and it was PACKED. We would've had to park a town over and take a train so we decided to postpone to the next day. The attendant at the entrance was kind enough to switch our tickets as we were the only ones there. What an experience honestly. We were alone with the operator in the cabin and it was pretty nerve-wracking with the wind howling and the cabin swaying side to side. At the top it felt surreal, like on a different planet. My wife stayed inside as she was a bit scared. There's also a restaurant and a museum up there on how they constructed the whole thing which is pretty nice. Overall 100% worth it. Even my wife that was scared of heights and reluctant on going up loved it. The both of us will remember that that experience for a long time.

Amazing views from the highest place in Germany. Must visit. Up and down about 70 Euros per person. Spectacular views. Well worth it.

It is quite costly but the view on the highest peak of Germany is definitely worth it! Amazing ride up there and nice to walk to Austria and back

Truly one of the best views you will ever see, Germany's highest peak lives up to the hype. These pictures are from end April, and the snow was very nice. The summit temperature is usually - 4C to - 7C, so cover up well. Make sure to visit the Austrian side (if you climb up from German side, and vice versa), and also go to the glacier via the second cable car at the peak

Cable car experience was good. It was systematic, clean spacious and well guided, mesmerizing views from cable car while ascent and decent. If you get lucky and find a place next to glass door/windows. During crowded days could be higher wait times. Overall good experience.

Had a great ride up the mountain in the spacious cabin that allows you to get a great view of the mountainside even if you’re not standing first row to a window. But the best part was the operator, who was really nice and helpful, providing lots of interesting information about the cable car, the mountain, their avalanche prevention system etc.! Thanks! ♥️

I highly recommend a visit to go to the top of the Zugspitze. We were there on a beautiful Friday in October and had no wait for a ride to the top. The views are amazing and we were able to have lunch in the cafeteria style restaurant at the top. The ticket includes a separate ride to the glacier. You can also walk between Germany and Austria, both countries have open air viewing platforms at the top. It really is an amazing experience.

Go here. Even if you do not ski or snowboard( I do not) . Go up the lift for the views. Such a breathtaking experience. The igloo hotel up top is pretty "cool" too!

They don’t call it the Top of Germany for no reason. Amazing views and the food was pretty good at the top. We took the train up to the glacier and then the Cable car down to Eibsee and it was a great experience all around. Buy your tickets in advance that way it’s not something to worry about later. The train back to Garmisch later in the day was a bit weird since we took a train from Eibsee, got off so it could go back to Eibsee and then waited for a train to take us the rest of the way to Garmisch. But overall, it was well worth to round trip ticket. Would love to go again when there is more snow.

Most of the staff are very nice and happy to help out. The ride takes only a few minutes, despite the distance. It gets crowded at lunch time, especially at the restaurant. Getting to the glacier was my favourite part.

It is an experience wort it's cost, which is, I have to admit a little bit higher. We chose a good day, came up early, with first ride in the morning. Had a breakfast without million people around us, for lunch was packed, but, it's normal for lunch on Sunday. Anyway, I totally recommend this trip. Advise to Zugspitze staff: A little bit more understandable description of a round trip would be absolutely good for visitors. Took us a bit of investigation to figure out details of the trip.

We went on a weekday. No wait and fairly quiet. Recommend checking weather to ensure clear sky. Absolutely stunning view and awesome cable car ride to the top!! Price is a little steep but nothing beats the view

Seilbahn Zugspitze delivers an outstanding cable car experience that truly stands out. The thrill of ascending to breathtaking altitudes is complemented by the spacious, well-designed cabins. The large windows provide a panoramic view of the stunning landscapes below, making the journey incredibly scenic. The cable car operates with impressive smoothness, ensuring a stable and comfortable ride throughout. The gradual altitude change experience is both exhilarating and awe-inspiring, allowing passengers to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. The service is impeccable, and safety measures are clearly a priority. If you're seeking an unforgettable adventure with spectacular views, Seilbahn Zugspitze is the perfect choice. I wholeheartedly recommend it for an exceptional cable car experience. Five stars without a doubt!

Parking lot payment policies are different by parking lots. Pay and display for the parking lot where we can buy the tickets. In others we need to pay with your parking ticket after travel. Free toilets.

Unbelievable. Mouth dropping. Make sure to apply lots of sunblock. Clear weather is a must, otherwise you won’t see much. The independent climb to the very tip was scary but also so rewarding. I am afraid of heights and was able to get through it.

Costly but worthwhile experience with spectacular views from top of the mountain! If you come in the afternoon just for the mountain top on busy season avoid going to Eibsee by car but take instead the train from the town before it. Costs the same and you can avoid the HUSTLE taking the bus if they block the road to Eibsee due to high tourism and lack of parking there.

Absolutely breathtaking views, worth the cost and I would plan to eat at the top as well. Ride up was empty but many skiers on the way down later in the day making it slightly uncomfortable for the 10 minute ride.

A must see when visiting Bavaria! Choose a day with little cloud cover for best views and take clothing for colder temperatures up top. Spectacular views!

🚠One of the greatest experience I ever had. The views from the top of the mountains and the cable car are absolutely stunning, although it does depend on the weather and visibility. Overall, recommend 100%! 🅿️Parking available

It will cost you for sure! But the view and the experience totally worth it in my opinion! It is a pretty short trip, also usually a lot of people are there so of you are afraid of hights like my girlfriend I suggest to wait for one where you can enter first and stand at the side because in the middle there is nothing you can hold of to, also there is a glass window at the bottom under your feet. I also recommend to watch the hillside it is unreal when you see people climbing on the wall...

Absolutely a must do. Worth the price. Make sure you go on a clear day, otherwise you won't see much of anything. Go early in the morning. Beautiful, beautiful scenery. Restaurant up there, so you can have a drink and food with a spectacular view.
