    I’ve held my tongue for too long, This McDonald’s needs to close down or some serious action needs to be taken from higher up. I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences with the Ballina McDonald’s and tonight was my last straw after giving them the benefit of the doubt. I’d rather drive to Chinderah McDonald’s than ever go back to Ballina. All of the good reviews are 100% paid for or they are from workers who work at the establishment. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

    I waited a full 24 hours before receiving my order, when I did a man by the name of Joseph handed it to me giggling like a kookaburra with aids before running away. After receiving my meal I was disgusted by the state of it, half eaten and with CHEESE. This is completely unacceptable

    I am not sure why but for some reason every McDonald’s restaurant I been to in the past week of a road trip has ranges from bad service to terrible. In all honesty it feels like the place is managed by bunch of children that simple do not understand customer service, don’t want to be there but some how have to be. They don’t seem to be trained well in how to talk to o customers or greet people. The service is slow and work is sloppy. If I was a McDonalds franchisee I would be terrified and would get the head office to start training these young people in customers service. There no longer is anyone at the counter, you wait for a simple order I.e a coffee or soft serve for anywhere between 5-15 minutes. It’s expected that you will order your own meal from kiosk. This is a general feed back for all McDonald’s stores to up your game. Glad they have social distancing measures in place but the store is hoger town everyone is at the back...

    Made a quick stop here before heading back to Brisbane. We walked in to a store with bins overflowing with rubbish. we had to wipe down our own table to eat at as every table was filthy, the floors for filthy the place was just dirty. Food was slapped together. Look, I know this is a fast food store, but this was next level terrible.

    I recently had an unfortunate experience at the Ballina Central Maccas that I feel compelled to share. While my initial interactions at the drive-thru and payment window went smoothly, my experience took a turn for the worse when it came time to collect my food. After placing my order and paying, I pulled up to the window to collect my food. However, I was informed that my order wasn't ready yet and was asked if I could park in a designated bay to wait. Despite my patience, my wait extended to about 10 minutes, during which nobody came out with my food. Growing concerned, I decided to go inside the restaurant to inquire about my order. Inside, I approached a young employee behind the register. He was around 5'9" to 5'11" with blonde curtains. I calmly asked him about the status of my order, stating, "Where's my food?" To my disbelief, he responded with a disrespectful and offensive remark, stating, "I ate it, you idiot." This reply left me feeling not only insulted but also shocked by the unprofessional behavior exhibited by a staff member. I pressed further, asking him why he would do such a thing. His response only added to my astonishment, as he boldly claimed, "Because I own this place. If you don't like how I run it, then get out." This level of disrespect and disregard for customer satisfaction was deeply disappointing and left me questioning the professionalism of the staff at this establishment.

    This morning I went through the drive through and the lady on the speaker was so lovely and polite. With her saying "Good Morning how are you and what can you I get for you?" Was a nice shock and different than the usual depressed grumbles.Such an excellent courtesy from this lady and I hope it reaches her. Very good job. 👍

    Came through drive thru on Wednesday night and was absolutely gobsmacked by the amazing service of Nathan. His Kind and Quick service meant i could get gone quick and really put the FAST in fast food!! I also really enjoyed my small filet’o’fish meal with a soda water!! It was scrumptious!!     Arrived at 550pm on 9.7.23. Ordered at 6.05pm. Had to go to counter at 630pm to arrange a refund because I needed to drive the coach at 635pm. Just as I complained and asked for a refund, amazingly a bag come out. I didn't have time to check it. Walked away. Eating as I was walking to the coach. I realised that the burger was wrong and my drink was wrong as well. Will be going back there in the morning to see the manager. Definitely not happy with this so called restaurant

    I used to work here, as a job I definitely do recommend. However, as a teenager with little income or cooking skills I often come in as a customer. As a former drive thru worker I understand the time limit and necessary etiquette, if my friends are working, I will say hi, if I cannot drive forward then perhaps I will continue chatting briefly yet it's never anything serious. I have never tried to harm the store's performance. Any exceptions where I have stayed longer have been due to issues in my order or staff taking a little longer. Despite this, certain managers have attempted to restrict me from entering the store or drive thru. Dylan Binder has even threatened to put me on a "ban list" entirely. I do not understand the issue as a customer, the last time he complained to me, I was waiting for his staff to put my order through EFTPOS, not simply holding up the line for personal reasons. This has made me extremely uncomfortable and made me feel completely unwanted. I have spoken to him about it personally to which he showed no remorse. If his staff are distracted, that is not my fault. I'm just trying to get my iced long black and occasional McFlurry.

    what an absolute appalling experience. waited 25 minutes in the drive through, 2 lanes, but ignoring 1. passenger jumped out and walked inside to order. All up a 40 minute wait for food. All while the burgers and chips sat under the heat lamps. Food came out tasting like a sponge. And they still forgot a burger. worst McDonalds experience ever

    Zero stars!! Please stop anywhere but here. First stop to Ballina McDonald's after walking in and waiting for 15 minutes was told there was no one to serve and drive thru was closed. No signs to advise anyone of this. 3 days later, on our way back from our trip, we stopped back in thinking the first experience was a one off and might have been having a bad day. We waited in the drive thru line for 20 minutes before finally getting to order our breakfast only to be told "we're not actually doing breakfast at the moment". There were no signs up advising us of this either. What a waste of my travel time!!!! Left with nothing and super angry. If you are assisting travellers you need to be on your A game as travelling takes its toll. I would have thought being a big company they would be better than this. Very disappointing and disgusting service!!

    Waited 20 mins for a hot apple pie to be added to my order. Mean while the rest of my order sat in a bag for 20 mins going cold. When I finally got my "Cold" burgers that I had spent over $60 on that order and walked back to my car the lid blew off one of the drinks as it wasn't secured properly. Then I discovered that they forgot to put 2 big Mac sauces that I ordered and paid for. Very dissapointed not to mention that my cold food was just thrown in the bag. There fries all over and one of the big Mac boxes had come open so there was big Mac sauce over everything 😡

    3 times in the past month I have gone to Maccas to get a feed after training and they have been closed early! All the times I got there was Before 9pm?? No signs out to say why they closed early. Food is usually good, when you are able to get inside and be served.

    Lack of courtesy from younger employee's over a simple food tray request. It's not hard to ask if someone is dining in or taking away ...you can save paper just by doing so & provide a food tray which looks more presentable when dining in. When handing out a soft serve a young employee did it without gloves, fair understandably but without a serviette is not which meant the edible cone was now dirty/inedible.

    Best maccas I've been to in a long time. The food was actually made nicely and didn't look like it'd been kicked. Store was clean and the staff were friendly. Mainly just so nice to see all the burgers look exactly like they should! Nice work guys

    Went through the drive through to get a LARGE chocolate Sunday 😊 gave me a SMALL with NO fudge 😡, went back in to ask them to make me another they gave me my receipt with the number, I asked can you please make it now I’m going to be late for work and they bluntly said no I left without my LARGE chocolate Sunday because of your inadequate staff. Thank you for trying to rip me off once AGAIN maccas Ballina Ps burgers are better at hungry jacks now 😽

    Fast food? More like slow food, I waited 28 minutes for my medium cheese burger meal, when I received it there was no pickles and bun was hard as a rock, I’d rather eat a dead seal then eat here. Thanks

    lady who served us was an absolute angel. my new fav person. around 11:15 on 14/12/21, adult woman with light grey hair. absolute best service ever. four stars only because the nuggets were a little soggy.

    I ordered a chai latte on the app and went through the order with the person on drive-thru. I got the completely wrong drink, maybe if you didn't support child labour there would be a reliable chance of orders coming out correct. Stop cutting corners and hiring children.

    Came through on a Thursday, soft serves and variations "sold out". Came through the following Tuesday... You guessed it: still "sold out". Bs, if machine's broken or you aren't fixing it say so. Also, looked up above counter and the dust is disgusting. Feel sorry for the staff there who are always harried. The owners must raking in the coin. Do better

    Never put cheese and bacon on burger twice in a row. The inside of the packaging at the time asked "how was your burger, let us no..." I complained, and the owner sent an email to say he will send vouchers if I send my address. Only problem was it was sent from an email address that you could not reply to. What a joke. Haven't been to that one any others owned by that fool.

    We were partway through a 12 hour drive from the Sunshine Coast QLD and in desperate need of coffee yesterday at 730am. The barristas made the most lovely dirty chai and the food was hot and fresh. None of those soggy hashbrowns you sometimes get. Staff at both windows were gorgeous too. Would have called yesterday to pay compliments but was too tired haha

    We ordered in the drive through. They forgot a whole meal and were told them below were drove off but wouldn’t give us a receipt so they also wouldn’t give us the meal that they missed. Instead we had the windows slammed in our face while we were asking about the missed meal and are out the extra money we paid for it.

    Food and service were as expected. The female toilets were not. One of the cubicals had faeces (almost dried) splattered on seat and lid. I alerted a staff member .... it was not dealt with in the time we were there. Will not return.

    i came here on the day of my uncles dads hamsters dogs funeral and i was rather surprised to be met by a handsome young fellow by the name of DYLAN BINDER (aka the boy in white pajamas) and oh me oh my he was just wonderful. i ordered a big mac with extra salt and two handfuls of pickles with a nugget box of mayo and they delivered, i got exactly what i asked for and a free sprite on the house. i would reccomend this mcdonalds to all as the man who owns the place (dylan binder) is the nicest and kindest gentleman with the sexiest mug

    It took 25 minutes to get an ice cream and a hot drink. The ordering machines weren’t printing receipts, so when they put an order on the counter and yelled out “180” or whatever’s the order number was, no one could tell who’s order it was. The staff would look surprised and confused if people asked them what was in the bag. At one point the woman nearest the counter asked if she could help me and I said I was waiting for an ice cream and drink. She said “oh”, turned around, and went back to mindlessly shuffling empty bags. So much for “fast” food, eh? Corporate should send someone in to get this franchise into shape. It’s embarrassing.

    Took us over 50mins to get through the drive through. We had a baby in the car and it was torture for us all. Guy at the window said they were under staffed. No one apologised. Food was OK, but definitely not worth all that.

    If you got heaps of time and don't mind sitrtng on a dirty table. It's the perfect jont for you. No honest. It's not enjoyable. Big waiting times, even for the simplest order. The whole restaurant is always dirty. There's never a clean table.

    Worst McDonalds I have ever encounter and I am 50! I have travelled around the world! After a plane flight from Western Australia on our way to Yamba we just wanted a quick snack. It was about 8.30pm we ordered from the screens and got no paper ticket to know our number. The restaurant was dirty nuggets on the floor rubbish. It was obviously not the staff’s fault, because to be honest, there was two staff members on. There was a heap of people in the restaurant already that looked like they had been waiting awhile. If there had been other options, I would’ve walked out then. After waiting about 20 minutes we had to go. We had still a lot of driving left so we went to the counter to get a refund. I said to my husband there is no way this food is going to be any good. These two staff members are rushed off their feet. I felt sorry for the staff members and I let them know. I said you should just shut your doors. They were not coping with the amount of people that are waiting in the restaurant. Shame on you, whoever the owners are to put your stuff under that much pressure. You should never have been allowed to purchase this franchise.

    Stopped here on the way to Grafton, worst mistake I have ever made. Toilets with no toilet paper. Locked up play area. Garbage overflowing in every bin. Losing orders left and right. Took over 30 mins for my order to come out. Shambles would be giving this place a rave review

    Just wanna give a shoutout to the lovely lady working the first window earlier this morning (Wed 6 April around 11am). Despite how busy the drive thru was, she served us with the most polite manners and with a smile on her face, which was really nice. Great customer service! I didn't get her name unfortunately, but if anyone that works there reads this and knows who I'm talking about, tell her she's doing a great job! Oh, and whoever made my iced chai that day got it just right, so whoever that was, keep it up!

    For a McDonald’s, this one was really good actually! They were very fast at creating my online order, and it seems like their team operates very well. It was very clean inside too which is uncommon for the stores closer to where I live. Chips were hot and appropriately salted, burgers were freshly made and also hot. Ice cream was great as usual, and the apple pies were top notch. Good job maccas. Only wish is for the veggie burgers to come back!

    I have been going to McDonald’s since 1974 and have eaten at McDonald’s in multiple countries and now I have just found the worst one of all. Ballina service is incompetent and not to an acceptable standard, their drive thru served 3 cars in one lane before realising they have two lanes with cars 5 deep in each lane, they forgot to include the fries in the meal and to top it off, the burger was lucky to be room temperature. Embarrassing!!!!

    Didn’t wait long but the orders are incomplete, you have to double check your orders, if you’re in a hurry you’ll end up having a missing order. Anyway, the staffs are nice so I just waited for the missing meal

    Sorry McDonalds I don't usually eat your food, but it was hot and fresh. It was McHappy Day, and we like to support that. The young serving guy was very helpful and polite. The restaurant was a little untidy, but like I said, it was McHappy Day so I'm hoping it was extremely and they hadn't had time to clean. Thank you for your ongoing support for sick kids with Ronald McDonald House👏👏💝🙏🙏💝

    I'm quite impressed with how well the tablets worked and there was paper in them!!! They took 5 minutes when there was noone else waiting for a soft serve while serving customers behind me. My frozen sprite tastes mostly like water but maybe that's because they changed it. I see why KFC was a lot more popular.

    Not sure if this should be directed to you or the centre as a whole. So yesterday 19 Feb you had a group of loud teenagers in your store and lots of customers 2 guys started to punch on. I thought it was over fairly quickly. Then next minute a group of maybe up to 10 guys started shouting kids were crying at this point. Chairs food and lots of punches were thrown. A lot of swearing throwing each other against the glass ect. Now there wasn't any manager or security around customers jumped to get their family out of the way. This is unexceptble for your staff and your customers. I seriously hope you look into your stores saftey asap.

    Absolutely s**** Says open until 10pm Tried ordering on app ERROR ARRIVED 9.38 CLOSED!! Told to go”drive thru” open.. nope . CLOSED DONT ADVERTISE OPEN TIL 10pm and not be open. We drove thinking we’d get a meal

    The staff are very nice but the manager is So Rude..Once argued with my husband over sauce on a burger and she ended up being wrong but no apology. Often a wait and often missing something. Nice restaurant to eat in however, cafe very pleasant to sit in.

    Slow service, food scraps on tables, chairs and floor in dining area, no toilet paper in female rest room and my wife and I did not enjoy our meals. Left feeling very disappointed and agreed that in future MacDonalds would not be an option ever again. Have left a review but as it is nowhere near as scathing as lots of other reviews for this restaurant it would appear that the franchise owner in particular and the company don’t really care.

    Ballina Macca's is a great rest stop on a drive from Brisbane to Sydney. It is close to the 2 hour rest recommended by road safety authorities. 30 minutes off the road to freshen up and refuel.
