What a great find! Beautiful farmhouse decor, delicious foods, perfect latte and friendly staff. This places fills up fast on a weekend, so come early or on a weekday. It is totally worth it!

A very busy breakfast/coffee location with a limited but excellent variety of breakfast foods. Tables are fairly closely spaced, which means chatter noise can get high at times.

Really good food and cute place. My wife and I enjoyed a sneak date here. Interesting how you order, then get your table, then they bring your food, but it worked.

Awesome food every time, French toast is to die for along with the home fries. Coffee is nice and strong and the atmosphere is very cozy. Love coming here for breakfast and can’t wait to come back!

Always great service and food. My husband got the Banana Foster waffle with a side of home fries, sausage and cheesy eggs. I got the Lemon Berry Waffle and a side of fruit salad. He got a plain iced coffee and I got the cinnamon roll ice coffee. Everything was tasty and the service was quick.

Go!!! This place is a gem. Ballston Spa rocks. We love the baked goods offerings and order bread each week. Recently, we tried a specialty cake. Unbelievable - a work of art that was quickly gobbled up. DELICIOUS!! Thank you, Iron Roost!!! We get their freshly baked bread weekly. Best ever!! 9/2/21 We have a new favorite bread - cracked grain. Light and simply yummy!!! Also, another cake hits the spot. Undine, one of our birthday honorees, had a second slice. A sure sign of dessert perfection! Thank you, Iron Roost/Two Birds. 12/2/21 My husband and I needed to chase away the December cold rain blues. Lunch at Iron Roost did the trick! Yummy buddha bowl and turkey wrap. Oh, and the coffee - soul saving. All served up quickly by the wonderful staff. Just say - micro vacation!! 3/29/22 We're regulars for lunch and baked goods. What would we do without your bread? Our almost weekly order consists of whole wheat and cracked grain bread and a baguette. Amazing. Lunch today was buddha bowl for me (of course) and caprese panini and a side of waffles for my husband. Love Iron Roost!!

This Pineapple Upside-down Waffle ranks among the top 3 waffles I've ever had. Truly amazing, definitely order this special if you catch it. They should consider adding it on the regular menu!

Delicious food and excellent customer service! I got the two eggs sammy and my wife got the Ballston Creme waffles. They have a variety of shelf and cooler products to go as well. I will most certainly be back.

The waffles are excellent. Simply the best in the game. I have yet to eat a waffle I haven’t enjoyed, and I have been working my way through the menu. The staff is very courteous and kind. Definitely worth a visit. They do have takeaway options through the Mealeo app.

This place is a treasure. Delicious eats. Order at counter, pay and almost immediately your meal is served. Super fast and super easy!! Friendly service and lots of intriguing options on the menu including several specials. You can go sweet or savory and lots of hot and cold drink choices. Highly recommended and very reasonable.

The muffins are INCREDIBLE- my favorite muffins I’ve ever had. Some are GF, but they do not taste like it at all. We also had lunch there, which was fantastic. You MUST try the homefries- they were delicious! I had the chickpea wrap and really enjoyed it. Thanks for a great lunch!

Absolutely delicious. Had brunch here Friday morning and the wait was short. Only 10 min but I have heard it gets really busy on the weekends. Worth the wait in my opinion! I had the lemon berry waffle and my sister had a breakfast sandwich we both had one of their signature coffee drinks too. All of it was phenomenal. Perfect portions, perfect amount of sweetness without feeling overwhelming or heavy. The ambiance of the place feels like walking into a cozy mystery novel with the little library, coat rack of fun aprons for the servers to wear and all the lovely little touches. it is positively charming. We even joked they must be witches because the food was magical. Absolutely recommend! And if the wait is too long they do have a selection of items for take away! (Including this comically large biscotti)

There is no other place, in our opinion, when choosing a breakfast venue in Ballston Spa. The staff is incredible, all of their breakfast options are cooked to perfection and as requested, and my wife gets to enjoy her favorite breakfast foods gluten-free (and they aren't poor imitations of gluten-full foods). Be sure to save your space in line on the Yelp app as there is almost certainly always a line. Our biggest wish is that they would be open on Sunday as we rarely have availability the other days, but when we are free this is where we go.

Wow!! We stopped here on the way through town for brunch. It was a marvelous experience. The menu is eclectic and delightful. The food was delicious, fresh, hot, and served fresh not long after we ordered. Everyone was friendly and cheerful. If I lived close I would come here all the time!

Love that there’s so many vegan options! We got the vegan waffles with strawberries and bananas, waffle sticks, home fries and vegan brownie. The place was really busy so we waited about 30 mins for takeout, no problem. On Yelp I tried to join the waitlist ahead of time but it said there was no wait; however, once I arrived there was a wait for seating. Anyway, get a side of the avocado-cocoa mousse for your waffles—so good. The home fries were also amazing! I’m usually not a fan of home fries but these were perfectly seasoned. The waffle sticks were good, essentially a waffle just cut into two pieces. I was expecting them to be crispier. Overall, yum!

What a gem! The food and flavors were impeccable! The atmosphere is quaint and welcoming. We loved the market goods and fun bathroom signs. The attention to detail is remarkable. We're so glad we decided to stop in Ballston Spa. We loved all of it!

Love the iron roost. Always have a great breakfast and good coffee. Wife with celiac disease safely eats waffles and other delicious gluten free things. The two birds bakery takeaways are also fantastic. Definitely check it out.

I was not impressed. The food was not good and it took forever to come out. It was so expensive as well. I think I wasn’t ordering correctly because I thought it was a normal breakfast place, the cashier should have warned me or provided some guidance. Nonetheless the food I did get in the end was pretty bad. I’m think my scrambled eggs were microwaved, that’s pretty offensive for the price. The bacon may have been that precooked stuff they serve at fast food chains. The home fries had a forgettable unbalanced seasoning, soggy, boring. I also tried a vegan waffle, which is honestly not super difficult to get right. I’ve made them myself and eaten them from little street carts all over Europe. This waffle was super super dense, almost like a pound cake consistency. It was also not crispy and generally soggy undercooked in the center. Please take this off the menu or find a better recipe, there’s no real excuse for it either.

I absolutely adore this charming spot located in downtown Ballston Spa. Their coffee is superb, and you mustn't miss out on the delightful lavender latte and their delectable breakfast options. Additionally, they offer a fantastic selection of homemade items that you can conveniently take home. Their biscottis and items from the Saratoga Tea Company are particular favorites of mine. Just keep in mind that this place is consistently bustling, so if you plan to sit down, it's wise to anticipate a potential wait time.

My girlfriend and I ordered a breakfast sandwich with home fries and a side of hot sauce. The staff taking the order on the phone, when picking up in person, and when I had questions about the bill, were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was overall good and a quality product. The problem is that it cost $21.99 for a half breakfast sandwich and few home fries with a side of hot sauce. We switched from a waffle to sourdough bread for a $2 upcharge (for a single slice of bread) that we were not informed about. The menu prices both online and in person are apparently inaccurate. They even charge for the to-go containers which I find to be completely abnormal in the food service industry and we were also not informed about. I am happy to pay premium price for a premium product but this just seem to be over the top for me.
