It had been a long while since I was at Metro 29, but I had the opportunity to drop in this last weekend with my daughter for breakfast. Excellent service, can't say enough about that. Door held open, daughter called princess, seated right away, and had coffee and juice on the table quick. When the kids Pancake says Mickey Mouse, it is true to form. One larger Pancake 🥞 topped with 2 smaller ones appropriately placed as ears. From the photos you'll see my daughter placing bits of butter for eyes and syrup for a smile. The flavor of my bacon sausage omelet was good. The potatoes were tasty. I'd like both to have been cooked slightly less to avoid the dry texture over cooking can have.

Pleasant experience at this diner. The service was good and not a long wait despite it being so busy on the weekend. The food I would say was 4/5. I'd love to try more of their desserts, which they have plenty of! But based on the milk chocolate layer cake I had, was not super impressed. Maybe the other desserts are better so leaving that out of my review score this time. Prices/value here I'd say are 3/5. I suspect that's because of the location but other diners nearby are not as pricey and just as good or better. I'd come again, but might pick another diner in the area for the value. For atmosphere, I'd probably pick this diner.

Came here after my half marathon and was absolutely blown away by how amazing the food was. The pancakes were so soft, light and fluffy and the fires were perfectly done and crispy. The staff was so kind even with how busy it was. Will definitely return for more pancakes after my races and runs. Highly recommend getting whatever your heart desires because my entire party was pleased. 10/10!

I didn’t get good photos as usual of our food cause I was very tired that night 😆 however I want to speak on the waiter we had. He was very nice, soft spoken, but also entertaining lol the woman there name “Jazmine” I believe? Very sweet lady!!! We all talked for a long time! Now the food.. the photos do no justice i shouldn’t have bought my own French toast cause they’re huge lol i could have ate one of my husbands and be coo! He didn’t even eat his 2nd one. The children meal is even huge.. yes our 8yr old ate that whole cheese burger lol we taste the cheesecake back at the hotel… my fav one was the Oreo. And im going put this out there.. im not a cheesecake person at all. But like I said i loved the Oreo one a lot. we will be back whenever we’re back in the DMV! This will be one of our little spots. ❤️☀️

Great local diner just outside of Regan airport. Wait staff is super friendly and establishment very clean and well kept.

I like to go Sundays for breakfast. Go early because from 9 to about 1pm there will be a crowd and a short wait. Service is good and so is the food too. I usually order 2 eggs, bacon, toast that comes with fried potatoes or an omelet. The menu has many breakfast, lunch, or dinner selections. The employees have all been there for many years and are the best.

A very clean and efficiently quick diner. The customer service was very attentive and respectful. The food is what you would want from a diner but the desserts will keep you coming back for more.

It has been a few years since we came to Metro Diner 29. This restaurant is fantastic. The staff are very friendly. We enjoy the menu that offers soup, a main dish, and dessert. Everything was most delicious as always. Vanessa, our very pleasant boisterous server, did not disappoint. The manager, Kofe, is an attentive distinguished leader who actually jumps in if you need something extra. Now that we have moved back to the area, you will see more of us. Thanks. We found this place while spending a few days in the area. It was very busy when we arrived but we didn't have to wait long for a table. The employees were all super friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food....we cannot stop talking about it!!!! It was so delicious, we both got the French toast with challah bread. We took the leftovers back to our room and ate it later that night, it was even delicious cold. We will definitely be back when we are in the area!!!

just another railroad car type diner as found in many cities in the US. We ordered lunch and I had a nice healthy proportion of tasty chicken salad on wheat bread along with iced tea. The waitress was very attentive to us. We finished our lunch with a piece of delicious carrot cake which we shared. They bake all on site so I was told.

It's a diner in the DC area so it's very overpriced. The fries were not my favorite. However the service was great and the burger delicious! My favorite part was dessert. They have the best desserts so I should probably have skipped dinner and just indulged in cheesecake heaven. It would be a 5 star experience if we had just sat down for dessert.

Delicious and giant portions. Great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is obvious and the portions are generous. Weekday lunch specials are amazing - I love the tuna salad options. And dinner is often overlooked - huge broiled steaks, and the lamb is sooo good. It is all great. The staff is super nice.

We were greeted immediately and brought coffee, water and chocolate very quickly. The French toast was amazing! Service was impeccable!!! Will definitely return!
