What a great place! Old school diner with fresh local foods. We went for breakfast and we were completely satisfied with the food and service. Definitely going to check this out again for lunch.

We visited 30 minutes before closing time, and they greeted us with great smiles without making any unpleasant faces. The food is delicious and the service is great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Came here while visiting the area. The breakfast was delicious. Quinoa coconut pancakes with a side of potatoes were so good. Coffee was good. Overall service was great considering how busy they were on a rainy Saturday.

The place was nice and really had dinner prices. It was flavorful and the portions were good enough for a normal meal.

Came in with three families 8 adults and 4 kids and we arrived at the same time as a bus full of highschool kids on a field trip. Service was great! That alone was worth 5 stars. Food came out hot and as ordered. We had everything from a traditional breakfast platter to vegan taco platter. No complaints and it was all delicious. Drinks stayed full and even gave us to go drinks. Prices are solid and portions are great

A good spot for traditional American breakfast. You will find the classic dinner entrees plus more gourmet options. First come first serve, notice that during the weekends you could be waiting in line a few minutes. Outside sitting is also available.

Delicious, wonderful atmosphere and fun! Service was good and friendly. I saw another comment saying no water refills, yes it was true, we had to ask for refills but no big deal. I really loved their yogurt parfe 🤤 I asked for extra powdered sugar

Love the organic and non-dairy options here! Has a homey, laid back feel of a diner with excellent quality food. I had the new dish the crab cakes with asparagus and mashed potatoes and it was delicious.

Very nice classic American themed diner. The interior is very nice and the staff are very friendly. Food was slightly underwhelming however was still very good, better than what you would find at Denny’s, IHOP. Went for breakfast on a Friday and was able to order from their value menu which was only available for weekday breakfast. Overall, a great place for a classic breakfast.

It has a very nice ambience, a sort of luxury casual dining. Love how they did the decoration. It is good to dine in with friends and family but also convenient to dine alone or to take out. Their crab benedit was good for the price in terms of portion and taste. The hollandaise sauce wasn't so good. The staff at pickup was kind and helpful but not the one by the entrance to greet customer. I will go back to try their seasonal menu.

Definitely a must if your in Ballston and want to have a nice breakfast. Had the protein oat pancakes and they were delicious. Edit - Tried the red white and blue waffles and the shrimp gritz. Amazing!

This was our first time trying out this location; we decided to go for Sunday breakfast. The exterior sets the vibe and the interior is very cool: it feels like a revitalized modern take on the classic diner look. We ordered the “American Classic” plate with 2 eggs over easy, bacon, home fries, and a biscuit. The menu listed a biscuit instead of toast, so we decided to stick with this option. The food tasted good aside from 2 critiques. 1) The food came out quickly, but we had to wait 10 more minutes for the biscuits to be ready, which made us reluctantly wait to really eat our food. When it did come out, it was fresh and tasted good, but felt like it didn’t really fit with the meal. 2) The home fries tasted good, but were more like roasted potatoes rather than home fries (which are/should be different). However, everything tasted good, including the coffee, and the atmosphere was great. The employees were very nice. I’d go again and try something different.

Everything was awesome! So great we went back the next day. Had breakfast on both days and was pleasantly surprised — great coffee, delicious breakfast. I recommend the pancakes and avo toast!

Loved it! I was curious how this new location compared to my experience at their old location, and they did not disappoint. I will surely come back again, with family. Decent selection of gluten free options, too.

First time at the new location since they moved from Clarendon. Arrived around 11:30 pm and there were several tables occupied. Bright and clean ambiance with super high ceilings. Spacious seating and fast service. We ordered breakfast items and I had the Thai curry coconut quinoa pasta. It was very delicious with lots of different ingredients, pistachios, roasted squash cilantro and pasta. It was fresh, had different textures and seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend this new dish!

Beautiful presentation and taste for food. I came here for breakfast and got the red white and blue french toast, one of my favorite foods now. Seriously imma go all plankton and steal the formula omg it was so good. Our waiter was rly nice and the decor was pretty but all the food there was fantastic

I generally love Silver Diner’s food, selection and service. Some locations are better than others. Their new spot in Ballston is great - it’s spacious and clean and you get a 2hr parking for free. Chicken+waffles were yummy and fresh, but the Bloody Mary cocktail was 🤢🤮 the worst I’ve ever had & couldn’t finish it. Tasted like a spicy, salty, watered-down tomato juice.

Ate here for the first time and I had the best waiter ever. Name is Ranjit, super nice guy- welcomed me with a smile and even chose the food based on my preference. Checked on me to make sure I was good. I even asked him to get pictures of me and the food so I can send to my colleagues who gave me the gift card. What an awesome young man, please give that man a raise. Thank you for the great service, Ranjit.

First time in years eating here and it was a great experience. Service - no water refills but very courteous and prompt. Food - I loved the shrimp dish especially the read tomato sauce that accompanied it. The Greek salad with adding grilled chicken was average in the best way possible, but the cauliflower pita was excellent per my boyfriend. It was very fresh. He said he would order it again. Vibe - dinner throwback vibe with a modern twist. Overall, I would recommend this place for a healthy or hearty meal.

The food was okay but I also didn't order their specialties (which looked awesome from what I saw other people ordering). The service and setting were fantastic, and the coffee from a local roaster were incredible! I may have to stop for a spiked version tomorrow before I head to the airport.

* update - returned here and was a much better experience with good service and food. Below review is from a visit several weeks earlier. Glad the service is improved so much! Previous review: The food here is very good. I loved my mimosa and my avocado toast with eggs and smoked salmon. However, they left off the eggs, my waitress didn't give me silverware or water, and some other odd, basic things that shouldn't happen (wrong size takeaway box, no salt pepper or napkins, etc) happened. The cooks and bartender know what they are doing. Servers need work though. It was especially frustrating that there were at least 7 servers behind the bar or standing around talking, outside of the ones taking care of tables actively - it wasn't like the restaurant was busy or understaffed. Next time I'll do carryout.

Great menu options and a fun atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The chunky monkey (banana choc chip) shake was so good!

This is really a good breakfast place.The Egg Tacos was amazing. The staff are super friendly. Definitely recommend!

The food was very good, the place is clean, staff friendly. I have to say my Reubens was imbalanced with too much meat, but my wife had clam soup that was great. They even serve cocktails...with a huge menu of "farm to table" foods.

What an excellent experience. Classic old style diner, working jukebox at each table, and excellent updated modern food with some classics. If you stop in, ask for Mama D... she'll take care of you.

We dined in at Sliver Diner recently for dinner and here’s how it went: Pros: Service was quick and friendly. I throughly enjoyed the overall vibe of the place as I generally like diners. We had a friendly waiter and he was nice. I got a milkshake for desert and that was a tasty one. I definitely liked it. Cons: The only flaw I see is over the food. I ordered the fish and chips and in which the fries were good but the fish had a weird texture to it which didn’t seem right for my liking. But overall, 4 out of 5 stars for Sliver Diner!

The service was great but the quality of the food not so much. I’m honestly surprised by the taste, it was cheap. The best part of my meal was the coffee. Not sure what farm they’re using but they may need to find one that doesn’t provide the quality of Great Value. And the boxed mashed potatoes 🤮!!!!! Not worth the $70 spent.
