We came here for the prosecco and it did not disappoint! Every Friday all day it's 20 pounds we had two bottles. A lovely way to waste a Friday afternoon with good company and a relaxed environment.

Such a good local pub- managers and all staff were so helpful, clear about the rules and accommodating. Good food and good selection of beers on tap. Plus a heated outdoor seating!

Food beautifully cooked. Great vegan options. I had soup of the day with warm sourdough bread starter and vegan fish & chips, delicious. Hubby also had soup of the day starter and chicken & leek pot pie which he gave 10/10. Dog friendly. Great service & atmosphere.

The Grove in Ealing is fun, a member of the Greene King group. A great selection of beers but only Abbot and Tribute on cask from six pumps on the bar. Staff, brilliant welcome, service and interaction. A good place to visit

I have visited this pub many times in the last 20 years. They have maintained great standards every time. I don't know where they find their staff but I wish every pub had the same recruitment policy. Extensive range of drinks. The food is always well prepared and served with care. Lovely seating. One of Ealing's best.

Amazing gastro pub that serves vegan (and meat) roast on sundays. We popped in for lunch after an appointment in the area. I am so glad we found this fantastic place! Service was very helpful and attentive, food was amazing and we were lucky to get a table in the enchanted gardens at the back. The best vegan roast I ever had!

A nice pub to catch up with friends. We had a couple of beers and some snack. The stuff was friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and well looked after so it's probably nice for families too. I'd definitely recommend

Stopped off for an early drink on a Thursday night. Decent choice of cask beer and a great ambience thanks to the DJ playing some chilled tunes. Will return.

I used to frequent this pub since it's very close to my flat. Before the pandemic, the food was rather incredible, they even had a rosette and the restaurant manager (Portuguese lad, I think his name was Igor) was really on top of his game. Also, the bar staff were very welcoming and chatty as well knowledgeable and efficient. Noted, there weren't that many staff changes at that point. Fast forward a few years, the place is borderline unrelated to what it used to be. The renovation sure made it look great, but the food is nowhere near as good. It's not that it's bad, it's that it's just like any other pub's food which is disheartening because it was special and now it's common. The bar staff is often more interested in not tending the bar and talk to each other and it's really disappointing. Because the place is quite nice and I do want to visit it but I feel more like a wallet walking in rather than a human. And sometimes the music is so loud. They would have a DJ event in the middle of the week, just blasting dance music and all the customers just sits there yelling, unable to enjoy a chill time at the pub. I feel like this pub is a bit directionless and they just throw things on the wall and hope that something sticks. I just hope the figure it out because the space is really great and it used to be remarkable, now it just feels like an overprice Wetherspoons

We ordered the fish and chips and short rib and flank burger. Both were absolutely delicious, the burger was BEYOND. The american bartender also gets five stars. All around a great experience!

I love it at The Grove! The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere always feels like a proper English pub, very warm, traditional and everyone’s having a good time. It’s clear a lot of effort goes into the aesthetic of the pub (particularly at Christmas) and it’s extra touches like this, the service and the phenomenal food that makes The Grove one my favourite pubs in London :)

Called in to this pub as it used to be our regular 40 years ago when it was called the Queen Vic. Felt very nostalgic it has changed a lot as it now has a restaurant. One good thing it still has the same atmosphere as it always had. Fond memories of this pub, wasn't disappointed.

A fantastic pub in Ealing, has a buzz on busy days and not in a overwhelming way. Great and friendly staff behind the bar. Do pop in when in Ealing you won't regret it!

We visited the Grove after first trying two other pubs in Ealing. The Grove is a lovely airy pub. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The service was prompt. I chatted with another person at the bar who was engaging and informative. We found a lovely table by a window where we consumed several pints of their excellent beer

Came here for a nightcap and dessert after taking our dog for a walk. We had come here before for a friend's wedding reception and didn't really rate the Sunday roast, however enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding and drinks.

Pretty good place. Visit fairly often. Not a regular boozer because the prices are quite high. But they have sky sport, bar staff are friendly and the food is pretty good. This place does not accept cash. Card only. But worth a visit.

Lovely place for lunch good big pub with a restaurant section, beer garden and bar area. The menu is big enough to be interesting but small enough to come out quickly once you order. Would recommend scotch eggs, chilli squid and fish and chips. Staff were great but they probably needed 1 more on during the busy lunchtime. They also show sport but in a way that isn't intrusive if you are eating.

I’m a local and have been coming to The Grove on and off for years. It’s gradually gone down hill and it’s not a particularly nice boozer. Today was served a pint of draft cider .. person put ice in the pint glass and then poured the cider.. so nowhere near a pint. To top that off, glass was absolutely filthy. Toilets stink and bin overflowing. One pint of cider and one pint of lemonade and blackcurrant.. £10.40! Not worth half that. Sadly, unlikely to be back anytime soon.

The Grove has an incredible team who are friendly and attentive, it’s always a pleasure to walk through the doors and be greeted by smiles and familiar faces. With a wonderful interior and an ever expanding garden it’s a lovely setting inside and out. You must try the roast and if you’re lucky enough to get down there on Wings Wednesdays you have to try the buffalo wings, at 50p each you’ll be piling them high and soaking them in blue cheese sauce! There’s also always some form of entertainment, awesome live performers most Fridays, most sports shown through the week and weekend and an excellent Sunday pub quiz. I would honestly spend all my time here if I could, easily the best pub in Ealing, potentially the best pub in London, most likely the best pub in the UK.

I would’ve given it fewer stars but I did enjoy my food, my boyfriend loved the steak sandwich, the service was quick, and for £26 for 2 lunches and two beers, pretty good value! However, kind of stingy with the avocado on the toast, and the stem end from the avocado was still in there!! poached eggs were a bit overdone, but as I said, it was still tasty.

The food was good, but the bartender, who is a little older white woman, was extremely rude. Apart from her, everything else was fine! I would like to visit again.

Really nice pub in Ealing. Appropriate prices for drinks. Lovely ambiance in the outside terrace where heating is available. Very nice and clean bathrooms as well! Definitely will be back, looking forward to trying the food next.

Used to really enjoy this place everyweek but one of the staff members behind the bar has made me make the decision not to ever come back. I understand that the work is difficult and tiring but that is no excuse to try be sarcastic to customers. I was trying to be as polite as possible when this employee was doing my drinks but I was not getting anything back just a face that looks like a slapped a**. After I got the drinks I didn't bother saying anything because of her attitude but she had the audacity to try say 'thank you' very rudely and sarcastically to me like I haven't been polite to her the whole night but when I act like her she didn't like it. Now it just feels awkward so I have had find a new place to spend my money

Nice pub, excellent bar staff, not bad food but avoid the live music evening. Far too loud for a good band. Even moreso for a weak one.

£4.50 for two slices of toast £7.50 for three halloumi fries £7.00 for three mac and cheese croquettes For those prices, I expect SOME element of flavour - I don't think any of them had any. I've no qualm with paying high prices, but what's served has to match that. Toast = terrible, halloumi = okay texture/crunch, zero flavour, croquettes = offered nothing. Service was fine. Atmosphere and look is excellent. Just left with a deep feeling of regret and went elsewhere for main courses.

Sunday lunch. Lovely roast beef, exactly how I like it. Beautiful vegetables and a decent pint too in a welcome wood lined pub. Not used to London prices, maybe, so £57 for 2 pints and 2 roasts seemed a lot to this countryside dweller..

Nice place for an after work / evening drink. Limited range of beers - could do with some craft beers but nice traditional pub feel with a variety of different seating types (tables & chairs / bar stools & high tables).

The service here is always superb! We were served by John who was attentive, friendly and had some great drink recommendations! We had the beef roast and wellington roast which were absolutely divine! We’ll definitely be back! Thank you @The Grove!

Generally good but the food was not nice the last time we went. The sausage and mash dish had over cooked sausages, seemed reheated or not fresh. Other friends thought that the burger bun was very hard and also not fresh. The melted Camembert wasn’t really melted. I am disappointed as we generally come here often and have good food

Had an event held at the Grove in their backyard/garden with around 20 people. Everything (food, drinks) was super well organised, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The outside space was beautiful and it was even close from the front outside space for some privacy. All the guests made sure to note how amazing the food was and how pretty the event was in general. I am very happy to have held the event here and I highly recommend it.

We went on a Sunday as seemed to be the only pub around still serving food later in the evening that day (arrived at 8:30, kitchen closed at 9). Great roast chicken and plenty of trimmings. Good selection of drinks too, though disappointing to see that most of the ales were off. Will come back!

Very good fish and chips. Beer is also good. Employees are very friendly. For anyone who searches for cheap places to eat and/or drink its not the right place for you, its a little bit expensive, but not too much.

Nice beer garden. Friendly staff. Had fish and chips and was pleased that I could pay an extra £1 to upgrade to sweet potato fries. And the fries were good. Unfortunately, the fish didn't taste very fresh - it had a strong smell. I usually have fish and chips when we go for a pub lunch, but this was unfortunately not a good piece of fish. Not inedible as I squeezed lemon over it and slathered on extra mayo - just not very fresh. But it's a nice location and venue for meeting people.

Good pub with a nice restaurant inside. Sports on the TVs but it doesn’t have the feel of a sports bar so can enjoy an evening if you’re not mad in to watching sport. It has a deceptively large outside space down the side of the pub with cover from the sun should you wish. Menu and quality of food is above average. Very dog friendly.

  • 4/5 Karen c. 1 year ago on Google
Liked the fact that they were child and dog friendly. Nice large pub with plenty of room.inside, however very little space outside the front which was mainly occupied by students. Music was very loud early on in the evening. Didn't like the fact we had to queue for drinks instead of just heading up to the bar as we were there for a leaving do. Drinks very expensive in comparison to other pubs in Ealing.

Friendly staff, excellent service. Even though it was relatively busy, the staff took time to check everything was ok. The food itself was good and was served fairly quickly.

Very poor. Probably the worse fish and chips I've had since I was a child in the days of anything goes. I've been to Heston's, Millers and the Golden Chippie amongst others but this was nowhere close. Sorry. 5.75/10 being generous.
