First time trying the federal hill location, but there just as good as there fells point point counterpart. There burgers aren't the largest but when it comes the flavor & sheer veriety they're unmatched. (I mean honestly where else are you going to get a camel burger)

No frills burger spot. Servers were nice and attentive and food was great! We each ordered a fully customizable sandwich. I got a burger and the wife got a chicken sandwich. Chicken was moist and crispy and the burger was cooked perfectly to temp, which is RARE these days! Tots were great but skip the onion rings. Rings were very thick and doughy to the point of undercooked. Beer was cold and they had a good variety on draft.

04/17/2022 EDIT: We stopped by here again since we were in the neighborhood and to give it a second chance. I only ordered sides, whe my fiance order the Baltimore Burger. The 911 sauce wings were crispy and hot. The fries were also hot and well seasoned! My fiance said his burger was on the heavy side so don't order it unless you're starving! I will still give it 4 stars, customer service was great, but the service is kinda slow even though only one other customer was there. EDIT: I've updated my review from 3 stars to 4 stars for excellent customer service. I contacted the manager and we were able to sort things out. I will be back soon to give them another try. Our burgers came out kind of cold and the duck wasn't anything special and dry.

I don't know if our experience was unique or if the whole restaurant was having an off night, but I did not have a great meal here. We visited on a Thursday and from start-to-finish the service was disconnected. They seem to split responsibilities so you can only order food and drink from separate people. That makes it difficult to put drink orders in because the bar staff did not visit tables much after the other server took our food order. We also struggled to get our check after asking for it from multiple people. I ended up having to awkwardly stand by the bar after ~20 min and begging ANOTHER person for help because we were really desperate to get out of there. In terms of the food, my husband and I both got burgers that had a smoked element. They were both way on the sweet side, with the smokiness overpowered everything else. I don't know if Abbey burger legitimately smokes stuff or if they use liquid smoke, but neither of us could stand to finish our burgers. The other diner with us got the Baltimore burger and expressed that it was fine. At our table, we also tried the alligator bites, which were unassuming but fine. Between the 3 of us, we also tried the house-made chips, the onion rings ($3 upcharge), and the waffle fries ($4 upcharge). The chips were pretty burnt/bitter and didn't even have much seasoning. We threw salt on them, but didn't really stick since they were cooled. Didn't finish them. The onion rings were fine, but the coating reminded me of pancake batter from the sweetness of it. The waffle fries were rock-hard. 🪨🤦‍♀️ Not sure if they were old fries that were re-fried or if they just sat in the oil for a long time. They weren't warm, so I assume they'd been lying around dying somewhere. (Did I mention they were an extra $4??) Credit I can give to the staff is that they re-fired the waffle fries no problem. New batch tasted fine, albeit it still lacked seasoning. I guess the kitchen isn't big on salt? 🤷‍♀️ They're getting 2 stars out of me only for the fact that 1/3 burgers was ok + alligator bites were palatable. I would neither recommend nor return Abbey Burger since food and service were all disappointing.

They have wonderful burgers - as a vegan I’m often limited to black bean or mushroom burgers but Abbeys has the beyond/impossible option as well as the veggie burger and it’s a true treat. We went on Halloween and it was crowded but service was quick and efficient and the pretty young serveuse with blue eyes would check on us and other patrons regularly to make sure things were alright, sadly they were out of Guinness on tap so will be back for that soon. Strongly recommend

IMPORTANT DETAILS GOOD: Friendly service, atmosphere, and waffle fry nachos BAD: Food execution Notes - appetizers and entrees cost almost the same - fair warning, nachos feeds 3 I was eager to revisit ABB since a date 6 years ago. The atmosphere is old tavern cool, and the bar keep is friendly (super-chatty)(good way). The problem was I didn't hard space out the appetizer from the burger. Twenty-five minutes went by and the nachos AND burger came out together. From there it was a sad choice of which would get luke warm first. The nachos were excellent - taste as good as they look. The peanut butter burger sounds great in theory, but in practice, it's a dry exercise in chewing. Combine overcooked thick beef, with undiluted pb, and bacon crisp (oil gone), it was a slow chewing adventure. I brought most of it home. The burger needs a savory sauce that thins out and compliments the pb. I don't eat rare hamburger so the overcook to medium-well/well didn't help. (I ordered medium). I would give ABB a try. It's a fun place. Bring friends if you get an app, and only order your entree after the appetizer comes out.

The waffle fries nachos are so good!!!! Burgers were cooked on point and delicious! Friendly and great staff. Both Hazy beers on tap were really good. Had one of each!!

1st time at The Abbey, feels more like a pub than a bistro, which is fine. Sunday noon may not have been the best of times to visit. They were short staffed, and it showed. Helped was called in, so that made service better. The food was good. Burgers, outstanding; fried pickles were tasty, but way too much breading. The house made chips were just okay, an up charge for fries onion rings, etc. Better choice than the chips. Still, good ambiance and great burgers are worth the visit.

Pretty good burger, fries were fine. They do give you a BYO form to make your own burger. Burger was THICK, and the bun was highly toasted. Pretty good flavors too. The environment is an old pub feel, not the most clean. Overall, no real complaints, but nothing too impressive beyond the food.

I had it and I LOVE IT!!! This place Burger is the best I have ever had!!! Yes! It’s that good. I had the Baltimore Burger and I was amazed how tasty the burger was. Everything is soooo well balanced for this burger. Some burger can be too greasy or dry, but here everything in the Baltimore Burger is just about right. I mean WOW!!! The old bay seasoning on the wings were also great too. The staffs here were very friendly and very helpful. If you are in DMV you got to check out this place. Why are you still reading this review? Go now!!! Check out yourself.

After hearing so many positive reviews, we ventured to the Abbey Burger Bistro in Havre De Grace tonight. Brad raved about his burger and fries. As tempting as all the burgers looked, I actually went with the salmon salad which was amazing. And wow, that apple cider ice cream sandwich? What a perfect ending! Highly recommend. Leigh Kaminsky

We ventured out here from slower lower Delaware to watch the Arsenal/City game. This place did not disappoint! Always loved the burgers and soft pretzels!

Visited from Washington State and still can't get over the pickles in this place. The food and service was fantastic, fast, and friendly with a great atmosphere. Best pickles I have ever tasted, love building my own burger highly recommend!

Was a recommendation from a local friend, nice, rustic place tucked into an alley, a menu consisting of a variety of bar foods made from different domestic and game meats. We went with sliders and alligator bites. A really fun meal, the staff was great and helpful, would recommend!

Ordered fried pickles as an app and for the entree, a Build Your Own Burger. Classic bun, homemade veggie patty, cheddar, sautéed onions (these had so much moisture and flavor), avocado, lettuce, Abby's special sauce, and sweet potato fries. First critique, the dishes used for serving are small. Fried pickles falling over onto the table & it was hard to scoop up the HUGE burger. So much so, the bottom bun got really soggy and the burger slide to the side. So.... napkins are A MUST. Very messy burgers if that's your thing. Second critique, the homemade veggie patty is very delicious but crumbles apart easily so it was falling apart with every bite. The fried pickles were perfectly crunchy. Abby's Special Sauce is tangy and delicious, would recommend. And the food portions are huge! Couldn't finish my burger. And the sweet potato fries were my absolute favorite bite!!

One of the best restaurants in Baltimore. Abbey provides a unique burger experience with a variety of meat and vegan choices as well as the widest variety of toppings you will find anywhere. Definitely recommend! Also, try the spiked milk shakes - cinnamon toast crunch is my favorite!

So we stopped by after the Baltimore Marathon. The place wasn't really crowded but it was at an odd hour (around 3pm). Reminded me of an Irish Pub. Also reminded me of "Cheers" since the regulars from the neighborhood were enjoying a drink and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and we had a great time. BTW, the staff did not know "Cheers" or probably even what a sitcom is. How times have changed. Don't ask them about Cheers if you don't want to feel old AF.

We flew in from out of town for the Ravens game and stopped here for lunch after getting into the city. The Bartenders are the best! So fun and engaging. They actually enjoy talking with the customers, it’s very genuine. The food was delicious! They are famous for their build a burger menu - so many options! Highly recommended! They made us feel so welcome and gave us a ton of recommendations of what to do and see while we were in Baltimore.

The build your own burger was great! The French Fries were pretty good. The tater tots were ok. The margarita wasn’t bad but there’s no Patron (just fyi) but the server was helpful with finding another one.

The food was great with some awesome build-your-own burger options. The tots covered in can dip were delicious too! What really made the visit though, was the staff. Steven, Katie, and Mary made the night for us. Steven is definitely the life of the party and invested in making sure all the patrons were having a blast. My brother said it was the best birthday dinner he'd had in years.

I have NO IDEA where any of these 5-star reviews come from. They must be friends of the owner or something. This place was possibly one of the most disorganized restaurants I've ever been to, and it was definitely one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. We chose this place to eat at before going to a show a short distance away, because we figured some good burgers would be an easy option for an in/out dinner. We were terribly wrong. The place looked more like a bar than a restaurant. But the menu had a lot of appetizing looking options, so it was promising. There were no actual servers or people to take your order, so the bartender came out from behind the bar to take orders at tables. He took our order, but as I watched him enter into a computer at the bar, he looked confused. It took over 45 minutes for us to get our food. Yes....it took 45 minutes to get 4 burgers...we ordered 5, but we got 4. My concern with how the bartender was entering the orders was valid, because he completely forgot to enter two people's sides and my complete meal. He never once came around to ask if we needed more drinks, and the guy from the kitchen who brought the food had some of it mixed up with other tables. When I asked about my meal...which had been forgotten...there wasn't even an apology or any attempt to explain anything. We still had 30 minutes to get to the show, which was only a 5 minute walk. We waited 20 more minutes for my meal to come out, and it never did. I ended up having to ask him to take it off because I never got it and paying the rest of the check just to get to the show on time. He just looked at me, again no apology or anything. This place was terrible. The staff was inept, unprofessional, the actual restaurant was dirty, and it was more like a corner bar. If I could give half a star I would.

Great place! They serve food later than most places in the neighborhood, and the food seems quite good. Friend got a burger, I got the loaded waffle fries. All of it was very good! Staff were very friendly, and the place was filled with regulars (according to the bartender)... And in my book, anywhere with many regulars is a good place to be. It's kind of tucked away in an alley and not readily visible from the street, but I'd highly encourage you to give it a try. Ample indoor seating, and a nice sized bar. Sorry for the weird angle menu photos... The light reflection was tricky to deal with.
