My son and I decided to go to the Harbor and get some seafood, so we decided to go to Phillips! Great choice. We had a great time; the food was fantastic, and the service was stellar. Both Cheyenne and Michelle was great, especially Michelle! She was courteous and professional, and went out her way to ensure we were good, and checked on us on numerous occasions to make sure we are good. Can't wait until I return and can spend more time there!

This is a friendly, classic spot in the midst of the Baltimore Inner Harbor zone. We saw locals and tourists inside the brightly lit, clean seating areas (in addition to a well-peopled bar). Our corner booth was cozy, and the big menu had selections for everyone (although a bit limited for vegetarians). The drinks were fresh, and house-made cocktail wasn’t sweet or syrupy. You can go for high-end, pricey seafood items or not; having for the special chef’s made crab cakes, I can affirm they were handmade, well formed, and freshly cooked. Everything was savory and delicious, and our server was attentive and high-energy, as well as personable. We felt we got good value for the price point.

This place was really great. The best crab cake I have ever had (I am from Chicago Where a crab cake is not the specialty). I got the broiled seafood trio and their crab soup. The creamy crab soup was really delicious, very light, which is surprising because it’s so creamy. It didn’t have too much flavor. But I kind of enjoyed it like this. The broiled seafood trio was really good. Honestly, everything had so much flavor. The only reason to give it four stars instead of five, was honestly because everything was so greasy. I could barely eat 1/4 of my dish because it was so greasy for me. But!!! It was super delicious so I don’t wanna complain too much!! The staff was super friendly and drew an otter on my receipt. I would probably not come here again If the wait was as long as people have described in other comments.

We had an incredible dining experience at Phillips Seafood! We spent the day at the aquarium, and this place was recommended by a local so we decided to give it a shot. It's a convenient walk from the aquarium, great location right on the harbor, and the building is epic. The staff was friendly and helpful. We tried the raw oysters, steamed shrimp, and fried calamari for appetizers, all of which were excellent but the shrimp was my favorite, juicy and steamed and seasoned to perfection 👌 I had the broiled seafood trio for my entree, which consisted of shrimp, salmon, and crab cake with mashed potatoes and asparagus, top notch. Topped it off with coconut cake for dessert, definitely recommend this place and will try to come back👍 check out Heavenly Food Reviews for a video review of the food on YouTube 😊

I dunno if it was an off day or if they were short staffed, but I'm so disappointed with my experience. We had reservations and it still took almost 20 min to seat us. After that it was almost another FORTY FIVE minutes to get a server to take our drink order. I don't know if the front just didn't tell our server that they had seated new customers, but the restaurant wasn't busy enough to warrant the wait time. Our server was extremely sweet and apologetic, but that doesn't excuse the failure in management. We would have left if we had known the area a little better. For prime placement right next to the aquarium one would think they'd be on top of their game. The food was fine, pretty bland, warm not hot, which again was very disappointing since the reviews were so high. Shell pieces in the oyster as well, heads up. 1 or 2? Fine. Multiple? Hasty shucking, watch your teeth. Ngl, I'd be curious to try this place again to see if maybe my experience was a fluke, but also, I'm legitimately embarrassed that I brought clients in from out of town and this was their impression. It's a really bad look when an opposite table is seated *after* you, gets their food and leaves before you even get to order a main course.

My boyfriend brought me here for a late lunch after our trip to the National Aquarium and before my flight back to Tampa. I loved the atmosphere here! We sat outside and the views there were great! I had a tropical drink that was almost too strong for me to enjoy so I only drank about half (it was also pretty hot while we were there). We split the crabcake sandwich and it was seriously so delicious! I would love to come back here on my next trip back to Baltimore!

Nothing short of delicious. Excellent food and service, the wait time was 10mins for a party of 3 on a Sunday evening at 6 - so not bad at all. Our server Kemjika was phenomenal. Food is comparably priced to other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is very clean. I highly recommend the fish and chips, definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. We ate inside because it was raining but there is an outdoor patio as well.

Enjoyed a Saturday night date night dinner at Phillips Seafood in the Inner Harbor. For cocktails, we tried the Apple Cider Manhattan and the Pomegranate Blueberry Margarita. Both were made well by the bartender. For the entree, we split an order of the Ultimate Crab Cakes double 6 oz served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. They were hefty and tasty. Though we had little space left we finished with the waiter-recommended Signature Warm Cinnamon Bread Pudding. It was the highlight of the meal even more so than the crab cakes. The waiter mentioned that a particularly good chef was working that night. All in all, it was a good meal. The cost of the crab cake meal was a bit high but since we split it, it didn’t hurt the pockets as much.

I came here my last night in Baltimore for dinner since this restaurant has been around since 1914 and it has quite the reputation for fine dining. I was greeted very warmly by the hostess as soon as I walked in and my server Bethany was friendly and very attentive. I ordered the Shrimp Pot Stickers appetizer and the Shrimp and Scallop entree. Both items were pretty good, but the mashed potatoes that came with the entree could have used a little more salt in my opinion. I ordered the Bloody Mary cocktail and purchased the souvenir glass for an additional $4. The restaurant itself seems huge inside and they have a large outdoor dining area. It seems to be a very busy spot and I highly recommend making a reservation like I did, otherwise you might have a wait time of 45 minutes to an hour to get a table. I recommend anyone to check this place out and I will definitely stop by again in the future.

The prices for this place are a little misleading. Salads and small plates are $ while main dishes are $$$-$$$$. Be prepared for that. I went with the crab cake burger and, while it was amazingly delicious with a buttery soft and lightly toasted bun, I wish I had spent the extra $$ to just get the crab cakes. I felt like my dish was a small sandwich and a huge portion of fries and I would have rather had more crab cake. Don’t be like me. If you want crab cakes, then don’t skimp out because otherwise you’ll be paying a lot for mainly potatoes. My wife got the Caesar salad, which I tried and was a normal Caesar salad. My daughter ordered the Mac and cheese with fries which was ok (at least she enjoyed it). I was not a big fan of the quantity of fries or the quality of the water. Overall, this was a fun spot to visit after the aquarium, but I’d be happy to try other restaurants first before going back.

We’ve been to Phillips at different locations in MD many times, last time it was a few years back. Just found out they no longer serve the buffet. We ordered a few things. It’s understandable that the price is higher than we went last time and with the inflation and all, the quality of food is disappointing. It is nothing like we remembered. Maybe it’s this location only, but not sure. I think the best part is the dessert. The place is roomy and decor is nice. Restaurant is at the prime location of inner harbor.

Our server John was really attentive to our table. We ordered the Tuna Poke Nachos, Red Pepper Calamari, Crab Dip, Boiled Seafood Trio, Cinnamon Bread Pudding and the Maryland and Lobster Bisque Soups. Do not recommend getting the nachos, tuna tasted off, rice was overcooked and wonton was undercooked. Calamari was pretty good, crab dip doesn't actually have any crab, it's just cheese, but it was alright. For the boiled seafood trio, the salmon was pretty good. The crab cake was ok and reminded me of the ones from Costco, then I realized it actually was the one from Costco. Soups were kinda mid, bread pudding was decent. Overall the food was kinda mid but the service was pretty nice, we accidentally left something behind and some guy chased after us to give it back.

Best Salmon and Freshly Made Salad ever. Also, my friends enjoyed handmade, delicious, crab cakes with, steamed, just right, asparagus. Very popular and quite pricey. But, worth every dollar.

Dinner here was incredible! The food was amazing; perfectly cooked with a huge portion and the flavors were all spot on. I got the Broiled Trio which even comes with a crab cake - must have when you go to Phillips. The atmosphere is lovely as well, great place to have dinner with friends. We also had an incredible server Dominick who helped make our night. He was so friendly and put up with my large table with ease. Thanks for helping make our night great!

We had a corporate dinner with 30+ people there. This was my first visit to this restaurant. For a large party such as ours, the service was great! It is an old restaurant with eclectic decor from the old days. The food left a little to be desired! Due to the size of our group, we had a limited menu to choose from mostly seafood options and a couple of steaks. Well, this being a seafood restaurant, I chose the fried seafood plate consisting of fish, shrimp, and crab cake. My food arrived cold with very over fried items! Amazingly, the people who ordered steak were happy with their food!

Food was good, my mashed potatoes were not very tasty, but the salmon was good. We also ordered the seafood salad. Pretty good. Our waitress Katlyn was amazing we never had empty water glasses. Great job. This restaurant is super loud, between the music and the crying kids.😂🥗🦐🦞🦀

The food and server was great!! I highly recommend the clam chowder and oysters. The other dishes were great but not as good as those, however the crab cake was excellent from the fried seafood trio. The server really took care of us as well. It was a bit loud with the live music and shame we couldn't see them because of our seating, but overall I would come here again!

Our server, Dale, was phenomenal. We were in Baltimore for our anniversary. He was very attentive and personable. We had the scallop appetizer and crab cakes, which were tasty. Then our waiter brought out some cheesecake to celebrate! So thoughtful. I definitely recommend this place.

Great spot to check out. In the harbor and fun atmosphere. Wasn't a big wait for outside seat but we got immediate seating inside. I love a good high top! Got some house made bloodies which weren't very spicy but tasty. Great recommendations and honest feedback from our server Cheyenne. Very cool place 😎. Little pricey but expected for the quality and options. Parking garage close by on Market Place st but expect to pay $20 for an hr. Street parking was hard to find and scooped up way to quickly.

Fun atmosphere in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor: Sit outside and look at the water or enjoy the nautical decor inside. I was traveling for work and had to try some seafood. The Maryland Vegetable Crab soup had great flavor and I only ordered it from the recommendation of my server. definitely recommend if you’ve already had cream of crab or clam chowder. For entrees, the shrimp and scallops were great. I do wish they had a bit more seasoning, or at minimum a little salt to bring out the flavor. No salt or pepper is provided at the table. However, the Broiled Seafood trio was excellent. The crab cake was perfect - tons of plenty crab, full of flavor, and so tasty. It was also served with broiled shrimp, salmon, mashed potatoes and asparagus. This was definitely my favorite. Give this location a try for a fun atmosphere and good food!

We had a great time here at Philips Seafood after spending the afternoon at the Baltimore Aquarium! It's located on the wharf just outside the iconic Aquarium and the large red sign over the entrance makes it easy to find. The service was fast and friendly! Our server Tiera was smiling, social and quick with any waters and the check. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Everything went smoothly and when we ordered a second plate of oysters the kitchen accidentally brought us a third, just to be sure we got our second plate. To me that says the staff really cares about customer service. Overall a good time, would definitely recommend to friends or family visiting the wharf. Cheers!

We’re visiting from the south and we absolutely loved it here! As a family of 4 (two toddlers) we are always selective about where we go but the restaurant was very kid friendly, the portions were huge and the service was fast! Our waitress Tierra was so funny and sweet. I can’t wait to come back! Also, I highly recommend the fish and chips, crab dip, fried seafood trio, and cheesecake. You won’t be disappointed!

I will start with the bad. Small appetizers. Each is geared to one person maybe two... maybe. But they were good. Capt platter was outstanding and a huge portion. Lobster pot pie was very good and the muscles w/ shrimp was a large portion too. Drinks were solid and deserts were good. Key lime could be more lime, ice cream sandwich looked way better on the platter but was still yummy. My two year old gives it two thumbs up. Over all good place. Price was high but not unexpected. 3 adults with sea food, hot dog two apps drinks desert $250+ right on the bay. Great place.

I love there crab cakes. There is nothing like them. However, I got the broiled trio. Fish, shrimp, and crab cakes. The meal outside of the crab cake was not seasoned at all. It had no flavor. I asked the waiter what happened and he said, "we got many complaints about over seasoning so we are not seasoning things anymore ". Why would you tell me before I ordered it. Also the food didnt look great either.

Quick service. Very friendly. Super clean. This location is really nice inside. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Prices might seem a little high but expected, not outrageous. Must try the pineapple jalapeño fizz drink.

Absolutely delicious! I was alone, so I sat at the bar, but the bartender was so nice and even turned the tennis channel up for me so I could hear the play-by-play because he could tell I was interested. The clam chowder was absolutely amazing, probably the best I’ve ever had. I also had the BBQ Chicken sandwich and it was absolutely amazing. Not to mention, the seasoning they put on their fries is the best thing since sliced bread. Would absolutely return.

My server was Kesha and she was awesome. She was welcoming, communicated well, kept checking in on me and had great energy after a long day. I enjoyed my food too. The crabcake was amazing. I heard about their bread pudding but didn't have room after dinner. I also ordered the calamari sticks with red pepper and I honestly could have ate 2 plates if I didn't get a big entree.

We went to Philip’s after a wonderful day at the National Aquarium, and we were not disappointed! We had a young man named Seymon as our server and he was fantastic - very attentive and ready to answer any questions we had about the menu! We will definitely be back when we are back in Baltimore!

I had a late dinner at Phillips after visiting the adjacent National Aquarium. Seating was plenty, including regular tables and tables with high chairs, as well as a nice bar area. Service was very fast and waiters were excellent. In fact, it was rather surprising how quickly the food came out. I ordered the fried seafood trio, which came with a fish cutlet, shrimp, a crab cake, fries and coleslaw. The seafood was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly, but the breading was a bit soggy on the fish cutlet. Fries and crab cake were a little cold as well. The dish came with cocktail and tartar sauce which were both great, although I would have preferred a slightly thicker consistency to the tartar sauce. Coleslaw was well done, not too creamy. Although the dish was filling for its price, the ratio of fries to seafood was too high. Overall, excellent atmosphere and service, but if you're looking for great seafood restaurants in Baltimore, Phillips is near the middle of the pack.
