This restaurant is worth a visit. It’s fairly new in the area and they are trying their best to remain in the area. The food is excellent and portions for the price. Very welcoming staff and great atmosphere. I’m definitely eating here again. Great job guys!

I love trying new cuisine. I’ve been to a couple Ethiopian Restaurant in the DMV area. Usually my main spot used to be Dukem, but ever since I tried this restaurant things have changed. Everything tastes amazing down to the spices. While I was eating there I was told Queen Latifah visited their restaurant numerous times and that didn’t even go over their heads. The service and the food is hands down amazing and great experience. DELICIOUS FOOD with UNBEATABLE PRICE!! Definitely recommend.

Know before you go... They don't have a liquor license yet but you can bring your own. Call them to verify. When I went there with my wife the service was really slow. 45 minutes from arrival to get our food. When we did finally get our food, it was just OK. It was well spiced but the lamb and beef pieces were way over cooked, almost to the point of being crunchy. The service too was again only OK. The servers don't understand English that well and don't do a good job making the meal into an experience. They basically give you a menu and leave it up to you to guess what you might like. The menu also needs a little work, the descriptions are really not adequate. We ordered a soup thinking it was a dish. Luckily our server told us. This place needs a little tuning to get everything right.

Stopped in the afternoon on Sunday and took advantage of a sampler special where a slew of 12 or so menu items are presented where you add onto your plate which goes by the weight, 2lbs for $10 and $1 for every addtl pound; so of course I sampled nearly all the dishes. Flavors are light yet rich earthy with a hint of aromatics. Spicy dishes are super spicey. I grew up on Eritrean/Ethiopian food and my tolerance for spice is meetings its match, spicey lovers galore. So my new go to for a traditional home cooking fix. Dawit was great too, welcoming and hospitable!

Tried Ethiopian for the 1st time. I kinda liked it. Restaurant is decent one with simple decor. Parking is available in front of the restaurant.

Great food and wonderful service. I would suggest the lega tibs and special kitfo. Ask for sambusa if you're hungry, its one of my favorite as appetizer.

I enjoyed their injera and their service was quick. I'm excited to come back soon to try another item on the menu.
