I started shopping at this location in the spring time in 2021. I didn't always shop at this store. I didn't shop at this location that many times. Everytime I shopped at this location,it was always unorganized. Some of the customers and employees don't wear face covering, the customer service not always good, some of the items is overpriced. This location is a mess. They always have boxes on the floor and trash. The last time I shop at this location was December 13,2021. The store was a unorganized mess. I kick a empty box out of the way so I can get what I needed off of the shelf. If I would have fell the company would have been paying my medical bills. The first time I shop at this location I contacted Street Market and Cafe when I went on their website. I sent them a email. Someone name Jesamine contact me. She said the issue would be handled. This was the first and only time she ever contacted me. It not handle. When I contacted Jesamine she don't respond. I went back on the company website to send another email. I never received a response. I'm going to contact the company who owns Street Market and Cafe. I will give a update concerning whether the company contact me back. This market is poorly run.I'm not planning on going back to this location. I added pictures of some of the times I went to this location. Some of the pictures was taken on December 13,2021.December 13,2021 was the last day I went to this location.

Food contaminated by mouse/rat droppings by mice that dug into the bread. Front and center on the bread shelf. Also found moldy prosciutto meat in the refrigerated section on the same day. Apparently complaints of these gross neglectful sanitation hazards are common to management yet the problems persist. Take caution if you buy food from here, as it might be severely compromised.

The market is right outside my door so convenience is the only reason I go here. EVERYTHING is astronomically expensive, including the very thing I like it for; the prepared foods. I will say there is a great selection of dried goods but their meats are all overpriced. Example, I went in there with 12 dollars for just a water and a sandwich and it was WAY over 15 dollars just for those 2 items. Then NONE of the price tags are accurate. The stuff on shelves seem dusty and been sitting for a while. No amount of customer service will make me pay those premium prices. And the store layout is completely confusing; it’s a maze. Not recommended if you are in a financial pinch. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING in this market does not meet expectation either price, quality or presentation.

Fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood and meat ( they also have Halal meat). It’s a bit pricey but I shop there because of the Friendly staff and the quick check out. The cashiers always receive with a greeting and smile. That’s priceless for me. Keep up the good work

Please be careful this place has molded fruit and veggies . I mentioned it to Blanca Aguilar my cashier and all she said was did you take a picture then her demeanor completely changed. She was rude very short she didn’t even allow me time to put my stuff in my bags before she called the next customer and asked me to step to the side I only had 5 items . Will be calling and complaining.

I love this location for its convenience. Don't let the seemingly small storefront deceive you, it's very expansive inside! I normally drop by later in the evening hours and it usually isn't too busy, the staff is friendly, and the store is clean. There is a small patio area out front where's I've sat to enjoy the sun, though it is by a loud main street with lots of traffic from both cars, buses, and pedestrians. Streets carries all the basics plus a variety of goods from across the U.S, several Asian, and some European goods. Along with staples and normal items like flour, sugar, breads, eggs, dairy, etc, there is a decent variety of Korean ramyun/ramen, frozen dumplings/gyoza, Japanese snacks, and lots of basic seasonings/pantry staples you'd find in other countries here! You pay a slightly higher price on some items because it's a grocery store in the heart of downtown, but that's a food desert for you... I never have a ton of luck with produce from here, but I believe most of it should be used within a couple of days-- while I tend to buy groceries on a weekly/bi-weekly basis and do not always use everything at once. Towards the back they sell meat and fish, plus lots of frozen items like vegetables/ appetizers/ pizzas/ gluten free items. I have purchased the frozen gyoza but haven't had the nerve to try the fish/meat. I don't usually buy any of the bakery items either, I typically grab pantry items or frozen things. There is a hot food bar, prepared items like salads, sandwiches, pastas, and lots of chilled beverages. Their sushi bar is pretty decent for "grocery store sushi!" They season their rice well, and for the price it's good. TL;DR Streets Market is larger on the inside than it appears from the storefront, and they have a LOT of variety that goes beyond your corner store or bodega's stock, but carries a small markup (brand name items are priced competitively with most stores in the city like Safeway). Like any store, always inspect stuff before you buy it, and if you notice something wrong, kindly notify an employee.

Super racist!!!!! Cashier had a 15 minute conversation AFTER ringing up person in front of me. Then got on phone never opened mouth untilI asked a question. Even some customers just simply started blocking how I move through store extremely deliberate. Not even trying to hide the fact....People of color are not welcome. Not even the right

Price tags are never updated, or items will have no price tags. More items are priced incorrectly (always listed cheaper) than correctly. The actual prices at the register seem random at times and are incredibly overpriced. Items are not well stocked and produce is rarely fresh. Take pictures of every price tag if you want a chance of not being scammed.

I don't live far from the market but the review is not good, for example too high, out of date, not price or it rung up too high. Surprised they still in business, someone one day is going called the health department take over. The owners need to come in and do an inventory of the whole store including there employees. You losing business customer should always comes first plus fresh items and good customer service is needed.

The market is definitely upscale. Clean. The produce was amazing. The staff was exceptional. The variety of food for many cultures. I have to go back so I can learn the market and all that it has to offer. Being a chef I was very impressed with the quality of food that they offered.

I used to love this grocery store until I noticed how many moody products they left up on the shelves. If you look closely throughout the bakery section you will see bread and dessert covered in mold

Solid neighborhood grocery store with fresh produce and meat. The staff is very friendly and helpful A little overpriced but it is to be expected in an urban neighborhood. I usually walk here every two weeks or so to pick up items when I'm in a pinch and don't feel like driving to another grocery store

Your market is SUPER high; I still try ( tried, won't be back) to shop there because I support my neighborhood. But, I am tired of that one young girl cashier with a constant attitude - I asked for a wipe through the glass doors (sanitizing machine is ALWAYS EMPTY) and she told me " you have to go around"...what? Nobody was even at the registers! All 3 of them were talking! It was not that deep. I wanted to wipe my hands BEFORE going to shop. Aren't they at WORK? What I have to do is to never come back. Tell her that nobody "has to shop there and you won't have a job to complain in, where you get to talk, instead of helping Customers with a very simple task." 🤔

This is a hipster type of market. You won't really find too much junk food and processed sweets. You will find all natural type stuff, healthy foods from a good source, non GMO all that etc...

This is by far the best grocery store that I have ever been at. The produce is fresh. The sushi is fresh and amazing. The prices are on point. If you've never been here you have to try this place.

It was so Awesome I'm on my way back today. The Grab and Go Bulgogi Rice Bowl was a hit just a touch sweet, but was enough for 3 meals. Even my picky son liked it.

This is such an amazing local store!! They have a large variety of foods to choose from a lot of different regions of the world. The workers are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Loved the store for the amazing selection and variety. Also, very kind people!! Only thing is that it almost seems to be like a maze- like circle.... if that makes any sense?! Fresh food frozen food packaged foods, toiletries and more. Very clean as well.

Hey great little market. You can find hard to find items. And all the regular stuff too. Courteous staff, clean and well lit. And lots of fresh seafood. Truly a gem in this city.

How ridiculous of a store. The cashier openly cheated my Wife by grabbing the sales tag off the display (there were multiples of the same tag on the same display) stating the date was incorrect instead of simply honoring the tags which Streets left on display which leads us to believe this was a purposeful tactic to cheat customers. People seem to rave about the Customer Service but my Wife has not had a pleasant experience with the cashiers pretty much each time she has shopped at this particular Streets location. We utilize the DC location on a regular basis and the entire set up is superior. The Charles Village location also offered a better experience and is cleaner. I really do not believe this location should allow their cashiers to be openly hostile to and cheat customers.

I used to go to the market a long time ago and I returned to see if it was the same or had things changed. In some ways it was different and some ways it changed. So I would return because the items and food in there is good and I like it. It's a bit pricey but the food and items can't be beat also that area has other amenities that make it a good place to go.

The overall place is okay. 2 restaurants were closed when I visited. The food from the sub spot was good. The people who worked at the sub spot we’re friendly.
