Found this place while exploring a new place with a different cuisine. When we reached the place we had a second thoughts seeing the place and the prices, but are very happy that we decided to try. The food was simply awsome and the portions were massive. After placing the order, we were discussing among ourselves, that the quantity we ordered was less and we could try someother food joint but we were just overwhelmed. The staff is very friendly and polite. They serve a complimentary tea, must say its simply beautiful. We loved everything we had. The price point is nominal. After a very heavy meal we packed dinner before leaving. Will be going again soon. Strongly recommend this place.

Stopped by for lunch on the weekend. Meal started with salad and soup. Both were tasty. I asked for recommendations and the host was extremely pleasant and helpful. We ordered the salta, lamb haneeth, and lamb kabob. The salta was great - okra in it was my favorite part. Lamb haneeth melted off the bone, it was so tender. I can't decide whether I liked eating everything with rice or bread more. Both combinations were to die for! Only downside is that the lamb kabob was slightly tough and had gristle in it. Outside of that, I think I saw doogh in their fridge, so you know this place is legit. 👍 10/10 would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Go with a friend, so you can order rice AND bread entrees to share the best of both worlds.

Amazing authentic Yemeni food. Definitely a must try for the lamb dishes and for dessert order MASOUB. Everything was absolutely good and the soup salad and tea come complimentary with every meal, as does the yummy Yemeni bread with the main dishes .

I visited recently when I was in Baltimore for a conference. The food was delicious! Seemed a bit expensive at first, but my meal was easily enough for two people. Super nice staff and very fast. Looking forward to my next visit!

This is such a gem in Baltimore! I ordered one appetizer and one entree and this was how much I got! The meal came with a side salad and a soup and each person was given a big piece of bread. I ordered the lamb as an appetizer and this was so big that I was literally full by just having that! Everything here taste amazing! I strongly recommend!

AMAZING place - massive portion sizes of delicious and perfectly made food, and we only paid about $100 for a group of EIGHT to have a long sit-down dinner with multiple courses served to us from the moment we ordered (salad, soup, then the bread, and finally the massive massive main courses to eat the bread with). This restaurant is an absolute sleeper - it doesn’t look fancy, but the culinary experience it provides is among the best I’ve had in recent months. Highly recommended!

Utterly delicious food. I definitely made a mistake ordering the salta in the August heat - it's served boiling hot and the restaurant isn't air conditioned - but it's extremely tasty and served with a ludicrous amount of delicious bread. I ended up leaving the stew unfinished due to the heat but folded up the bread to take with me. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Baltimore.

We tried the Haneeth (roasted lamb with rice) and the charcoaled chicken 🍗 and both were super excellent. The Fahsa (lamb stew) wasn’t as good. Pricing is decent as compared to the portions you’re getting. Seating is ok - could be better. Parking is a bit of challenge as the only available option is metered parking by curbside. I would have given it at least 4 stars rating, but management need to do better in terms of keeping tables and bathroom clean. I know it’s an ancient building and they do get very busy, but still! In any case, I still recommend and in fact already been there a few times 😁 And oh! The tea ☕️ is on the house snd it’s all you can drink. Worth every sip!

I come here and bring my friends all the time and I was never disappointed. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing as usual and they give you a big portion that is enough for two meals. And add to that the delicious complimentary soup, salad and tea when dining in.

I'm very cautious writing this review, because this is a hidden gem that I want to keep for myself. But I'll say it -- this is my favorite restaurant in Baltimore by a mile. I've never been to a place that just gets everything right like this place does. Everyrhing they serve food is wonderfully delicious, and simply cannot be understated. I got the Veggies over Rice and the Filafel Wrap. What really shined through was the wrap. The filafels were crisp and fresh, but their flavor was not too overpowering. The sauce cut through, but was similarly not overpowering. They wrapped everything in their house pita bread, which I think has to be divine in some way. It was so flavorful and soft, it just added to every bite. I would highly, highly recommend that you get the appetizer platter, it comes with a whole tray of this huge pita bread, as well as some of the best hummus, best yogurt, and best filafel I've had in the city. Definitely also get a wrap. Be sure to try the complementary tea they have in front of the counter as well. The portions are huge (you can easily order too much), but somehow the prices are simulateously insanely cheap. I don't know how they do it, to be completely honest. I'm flabbergasted. I came here with a friend once, then had to come again with my whole team to enjoy the place. You need to come as well (or don't, so I can keep it to myself).

It's definitely a hole in the wall, no frills and not a fancy spot at all...with yummy food. The meat literally fell off the bones. I do not normally like lamb but the waiter suggested I get it, so I did, and it was delicious. My mom had a chicken dish and said it was incredible. The rice was cooked perfectly and the hummus was really good. Everything made from scratch. And a free delicious hot tea. Can't beat the pricing.

Incredible!!! Food was out of this world. Most dishes are stew style or mixed with rice. Food is so rich in flavor yet not spicy. Service is outstanding. The guy at the counter was so kind and helpful. They generously offer some of the best tea for free to show their hospitality. Will be back!

Amazing authentic middle eastern food! Serving sizes are plentiful and each dish is made to perfection. My boyfriend and I got hummus, yoghurt, rice, fries, and 2 chicken sandwiches. The chicken sandwich is so big we split one, and will have leftovers for a while after this. Delicious food and we will be returning!

Found this place while exploring the neighborhood one evening and happy we did. Very tasty and freshly cooked food along with extremely friendly service. Been 4 times in the last two weeks and haven’t had the same thing twice. Everything is delicious. Definitely recommend.

No frills order at the counter spot serving delicious and authentic Yemeni food at an affordable price. Large portions. Several vegetarian and vegan options. Food was delicious.

Second time coming by and it was even better. Firstly - the prices and portions are a total steal. This place is definitely a hole in the wall, no frills kind of dining. We tried their lamb sandwich (shared between two) which was juicy and flavorful. also shared a chicken stew dish with potatoes and vegetables. This was fantastic but my favorite was definitely the sandwich! You get a lentil soup and salad with every order - soup is mildly seasoned and light, perfect start to the meal. I will be going back for the lamb sandwich. Also, saw someone order the fries which I’m definitely getting the next time. Whole meal with a drink cost less than $30.

Excellent food - super delicious and clean kitchen. Lamb haneeth is out of this world. Also extremely reasonable price and really generous portions - one main dish and a couple of sides can stuff two people. My only suggestion is for the seating areas and bathrooms, give things a good cleaning. We will definitely be back!
