If you like bedrooms with mice, this is a great place for you.if you like hallways with mice this is a great place for you. The staff was awesome and they were very accommodating. However, the mice were not my vibe.

Great location, just a couple of blocks from both the Inner Harbor and Camden Yard/Orioles Ballpark, and next door to the Convention Center. Staff (front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping) were very helpful and friendly. Area has very few restaurants within easy walking distance, and the hotel breakfast buffet is $22 per person (although food is marked as gluten-free where applicable).

The hotel is beautiful with on site parking, restaurants and amazing art and staff. The rooms are old and dated. The mattress was hard and made my back hurt and there was trash in one of my trash bins.

Just to start off , the staff was very polite and helpful. So now for the juice . First room the heat didn't work and when we tried to call for service the phone didn't work . 2nd room is dirty not cleaned what so ever . The rooms are very out dated 2004ish look . Doesn't look like anyone vacuumed the floor in weeks there was leaves and lint everywhere. For the price of $230 a night it's definitely not worth it.

Unfortunately there was nothing positive about this hotel, it is definitely not up to Marriott standards, it either needs a major overhaul or Marriott should drop them from their franchise. Everything is dated, faded, stained, worn, damaged or broken in this hotel. The elevators are questionable, the doors are reluctant to open and close. The hallway carpet was badly stained and worn. Trash was constantly littering the hallways when housekeeping was visibly on the floor. Housekeeping was observed multiple times loudly complaining about having to clean rooms and it was clear that they had looked through our luggage because the bags were moved and unzipped when we had zipped and stacked them before leaving the room. The room was 82 degrees when we checked in. There were dirty towels left in the bathroom. The carpet in the room was stained and so disgusting that we wouldn't walk on in without shoes on. The door to the adjoining room had a broken handle. The TV had no sound. There was no mattress protector on the bed, just a flat sheet tucked around it. Most of the USB ports in the room were broken. The chair was stained with what appeared to be white paint. Every piece of furniture was damaged and scratched. The faucet in the bathroom had a constant small stream of water coming out of it. The bathtub backed up and didn't drain properly when our neighbor was showering at the same time so we had to rush through showering. The ceiling had clearly been spot painted in certain areas, perhaps to cover up water damage or something but the areas that were painted over were clearly visible. The price you pay for what you get at this hotel is ridiculous. Save your money and stay at the Hilton next door.

So I want to be fair, cause the staff was pretty nice and the lobby is beautiful. But other than that there is nothing about this that says 4 star hotel. I'm very familiar with Marriott but this was my first time here and it was meh at best. The rooms are very very dated and old looking. THEY DO NOT HAVE RUNNERS AT THE MOMENT, so no direct room service for things like towels, toiletries or blankets. You have to get it yourself. Which is annoying when you're used to hotels that have that option available (or if you're disabled!!) . They also advertised their restaurant as being open but when we went it was closed without explanation. That is very frustrating as a customer to expect to run down for a quick bite and end up having to go outside to find something. Please make sure the hours advertised are correct. Its an okay hotel, but not 4 stars in my eyes by any means. The toilet made noises constantly as well. Just overall very dated and probably best for very short stays only.

Very nice. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and kind. There were several conventions going on. They were plenty busy but stayed smiling professionals. Room was spacious and clean. We have stayed here before and will stay again.

Beds were very comfortable however the hotel is dated and the walls are paper thin. I could hear conversations from guests on both sides of my room. Each morning I did not need an alarm as I woke up to my neighbor blowing his nose. The staff was very nice and pleasant and I found my room to be nice but I could never get the sleep I needed due to all the noise coming through the walls (and it was not that the guests were being overly loud, I could hear normal conversational volume) the hallway carpets were filthy and appeared to have not been vacuumed for quite awhile. The rate vastly exceeded the value IMO. Good location.

Outstanding experience, service, and value! My family and I stay here every time we come to Baltimore. The location is the most outstanding element to mention. Conveniently located between the inner harbor and the stadiums, it is a super easy walk to both. The service it outstanding. I’ve never worked with a more pleasant staff. They were very eager to please and be helpful and made our stay remarkably nice. The facilities are very nice, despite being on the older side. The views are OUTSTANDING and almost worth a visit on their own. The lobby is welcoming and impressive, while the rooms themselves are just fine. They are in the older side but I certainly wouldn’t call them rundown. The overall experience is wonderful and it has us coming back time and time again!

I just wanted to specifically point out Krystal at the front dest. She had the greatest hospitality when we arrived at the front desk this weekend for the Ravens Championship game. She went ABOVE and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and it really means a lot. Thank you Krystal! We loved the complimentary cookies at the front as well. Everything is up to par.

Extremely nice hotel! Some reviews criticize the sheraton as too dated. So what!? We were on 11th floor, wonderful view of Camden yards & Ravens stadium. Room nice & clean, one lampshade damaged. Front desk people extremely nice. Restaurants nice, but bit too pricey. (Steakhouse is not affiliated with Sheraton, can't charge to room). Hotel within easy walking to Camden Yard and Inner Harbor. I'd definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Sheraton for the American Towman Convention. As we did our research, we felt that the Sheraton was both up to date and reasonably priced. I will say the pictures were deceiving. We had to change our room three times over four days. The first room’s a/c wasn’t working. The second room they put us in, the bathroom sink wasn’t draining and would make this loud noise at random times. The bed was the worst part. They put two twin mattresses together and called it a queen. It was the MOST uncomfortable bed we’ve ever slept on. The third room was better than the previous two rooms but there was hair on the bathroom wall. Gross. I appreciate the kindness of the front desk staff and the manager Dante for trying to best accommodate our stay. They did offer to compensate our breakfast which we appreciated. We were disappointed and found this inconvenient. After much thought, we will not be staying at this location in the future.

i was very disappointed, this has been worst marriot property ive seen. The staff was friendly but the room was horrible. The room was not clean at all from dirt and debris on the floor and shower, found pills left behind by previous guest in drawer. The worst was the bugs. i couldnt sleep at all because i was watching for more bugs. Called the hotel but still never heard back from manager

Really nice people. Breakfast buffet. One block from the harbor and visitor center. Room was cleaned first and last day only in a week. The Grill Restaurant had spotty service: nice people, no coordination with orders. Morton's Restaurant was top notch.

Would not choose this hotel again. Dirty construction materials w dirty foot prints was on the bed. Room did not have listed amenities. Housekeeping staff were awesome and seem to work miracles w the limited resources they were given.

Sagging beds and stick grille: the staff were nice, but it's understaffed. The Grille had a sad breakfast: sticky floors, sticky tables, and subpar food. The rooms were clean, good cable, good pillows, but the beds are so old they sag in the middle. I slept like a parenthesis! Hard to sleep and woke up sore. I have slept better in tents.

Staff was friendly and the room was clean. No complaints there. The air conditioning in my room was very, very loud. I called an engineer to come look at it and he said the heat pumps/AC units were just naturally loud and some rooms were worse... Nothing could be done. It made it very difficult to get sleep. In all my years of travel, it was the worst air conditioning related noise I've ever experienced. You better bring good ear plugs if you stay here.

A Disappointing Lost & Found Experience I attended a conference in Baltimore from 05/31/22. Since the hotel as my first choice was full, I had to book here. Overall, everything was fine until I contacted their customer service. When I got home I couldn’t find my electric toothbrush so I called them to see whether l left it in the room. Simultaneously, I also tried to make a FedEx prepaid label for them. “No one has time for a toothbrush”, this is the answer I got before hangup. NO patience and NO respect at all. Their “your lost is none of my business” altitude is worth a one-star feedback.

The booking process for a group was not easy, however, I finally found a helpful employee (Terrence). After 2-weeks of trying to get a clear answer on the process to get several rooms booked for my team and I for an upcoming conference, Terrence's help was much appreciated. After a single phone call with Terrence, I was finally able to do get everything squared away!

I’ve been staying at this hotel frequently over the last 22 years. Unfortunately it’s been through work so I’ve been unable to choose a different hotel. The reception staff are indifferent at best and disgracefully rude at worst. I’ve experienced this personally but also seen others treated poorly too. I had a package delivered to the hotel and knew it had arrived as I’d tracked it. When I asked for it they simply denied it was there. I refused to leave the lobby and hey presto, it appeared. The rooms are now infested with mice but when this is reported, no one cares. I travel extensively around the world and this has to rank as one of the worst hotels I’ve been to.

Old, dusty, dark, gloomy. No amenities. One shared microwave in the 1st floor main lobby for the entire hotel. Nice staff. Stayed here for free because Marriott Waterfront had a flooded floor. But you couldn’t pay me to stay here again. It’s only one night, thank God!!!

Hotel has not been updated. We stayed on the 14th floor -- carpets and wallpaper were wrinkled from possible water damage? Carpet in the room was very dirty. Furniture worn and dirty. The elevators were dirty. The property seemed to be understaffed. There are better Marriott properties nearby. Avoid.

Room took forever to get ready was there at 12:00 didn't get in room til after 4:00. The ones checking u in were kinda rude,at times. Our room the toilet did not flush unless u held the lever down til it flushed completely down. Sink handles had to be turned off in odd way to stop the water from dripping. The fridge was so tiny couldn't get much of anything in it. If u wanted wifi u had to pay $12. More. They took the pool out so it was 103 with heat index so no way to cool off. All the staff in restaurant were very friendly and happy. They were a blessing after all the not so good . Our bedding was odd. TV only picked up 2 channels. Not a place I will spend a night again.

Aged hotel needing some maintenance. No valet service available. Front desk team very professional. Needed more staffing in the grill restaurant. Breakfast buffet is $25 and probably not worth that price. Great location. Walkable to Inner Harbor and Camden Yards.

Rooms were clean, service was good. Bathroom was missing a refill on Body wash, shampoo and conditioner. 9th floor hallway had a bad bathroom smell during my stay compared to the other floors, which smelt great. Also the House Keeping Supervisor needs to do a better job inspecting rooms. I would have never missed that. Also pay attention to how the sheets are hanging and how the beds are made. Restaurant guys on second floor was friendly, no ladies working were seen at the time on Saturday night. Overall it was okay.

Rooms are old and hard beds. Air Conditioner makes so much noise. Ask for items from front desk they always forgot to send them . Worst of all they didn't clean are room and they could say I'm sorry. I had to ask for clean towels and sheets.

The location of this hotel is the only reason for the two star rating. The hotel is very old and run down. Only the elevators work to get to other floors as the escalators are broke. Checking in for a business trip was also a nightmare. The hotel staff charged two coworkers debit cards with the full stay (over $1000) when the rooms had already been paid by WV. The hotel manager was very rude to me as well when I did finally get.to check in talking over me while I was on the phone with State of WV office staff to correct their mistake. The hotel manager even began talking to some of his VIP (as he verbally stated) customers and didn't even write the number of the hotel room. I had to ask him what room I was in! Overall not a great experience BUT I did get to go to Orioles game last night so... Least there's that! Go Orioles!!!!

An older hotel that can use some renovation, and one room had a major AC issue, but the staff was accommodating and moved us to another room, and compensated us for the inconvenience. Location is perfect and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

My family stayed 3 nights for chess tournament. The hotel is bit outdated. I don't think it meets 4 stars standard. When we arrived the first day, closet door was broken, one pillow was dirty and the safe is out of power. Front desk staffs were not well trained. They have no intention to serve customer. I am a member of the hotel chain and supposed to get free wifi, but no offer until I asked and said: "oh, you are a member". The second day, the hair conditioner bottle felt off and I call the room service to fixed it. The biggest complaint was the air conditioner is so dirty, it blew out white dust everywhere. The desk was covered by dust overnight.

In town to see a baseball game and the hotel is only a few blocks from the park. Also close to the harbor and numerous restaurants and attractions. The room was good, comfortable bed and decently furnished. I was somewhat annoyed that I had to pay $32 to park overnight, a mighty $3 discount opposed to a non-guest parking overnight. I guess it's not unusual for a large city hotel to do that, but I didn't like it.

Leaving this 5-star review only because Tiny (Demetrius) was so wonderful! The room I was in smelled a little musty and I saw Tiny in the hallway and asked her for some air freshener that I could use. Even though she was in the middle of cleaning another room she was so kind and stopped immediately to help me by spraying the room down and making sure everything else was okay. She has so much pride in the work she does and expressed how important it is for her that guests feel like the rooms she has cleaned are welcoming when they arrive - it was really heartwarming. Sheraton managers - recognize her contributions and at the very least give her a raise! I’m not sharing the other concerns I had during this trip in part because the front desk team helped resolve them but also because meeting Tiny really changed how I was feeling about staying here. Thank goodness for her!

Location is great as we went to an event at the convention center, but traffic was loud in the room (not the hotel's fault). Bed was very, very comfortable. Room was outdated and a bit worn. Only one bedside lamp and it was a bit jacked up looking, but it worked. The lamp on top of the dresser did not. AC worked well but it was so loud, especially when it would start. Woke me up quite a few times. Shower is nice (hot water lasts a long time). But for the toilet to flush, you had to hold the lever down for about 10 seconds for everything to go down (even with only liquid and a small amoutof TP) The room and bathroom were pretty dusty, but not too bad. Breakfast was an overpriced nightmare...food was just not good (the regular sausage was bangin' though!). Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall good for our purposes, but it needs some updates and improvements.

The hotel was clean and very convenient to the convention center, which is why we stayed. The bathroom had pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash which was very convenient.

Staff was very nice, and the location is great… which are the only positives. Rooms are dated as other reviewers mention. Our mattress in our room was in desperate need of replacement. It had large dips on each side where people sleep. Floors felt and looked really gross and dirty. Wi-Fi not included with the room (It’s 2023).

TLDR: They charged the fee of $1500 two times, and they are ignoring all attempts to contact them. I guess the only way to go is with a lawyer. Longer version of the story: We were a group of students attending to a conference this summer. The university booked a room for us using their debit card. I was the first to arrive, so the room became registered on my name, but I was also the first to leave (they others stayed a day longer). They did not let me leave until I pay the full amount, even when I was saying that the University is paying for it. They said that that was only for the reservation, which seemed plausible, so ok, I paid. But they also charged the university with the full amount. Since then, the university attempted to contact them several times, and it is impossible to reach them. Beyond that, the personnel at the front desk were absolutely incapable of basically anything. They were unable to tell how the payment works, they said that the internet is free, then when I checked out they worked like a hour to remove the incorrectly charged internet fee from the bill, which they charged the next day on the other of my roommates that were still there. The whole checkout experience lasted about 3 hours (!!!). Never ever go to this place.

Good location, rooms dated but clean. Very friendly staff. Ok stay overall but probably wouldn't stay here again. Attended a conference and the food provided had small bugs on two separate occasions. Staff was helpful to replace the food but I question the food handling practices. No room service and wifi was not free, so that was disappointing too.

Reasonably-priced, higher-end hotel rooms located very near the Inner Harbor. Recommend using your own vehicle and not relying on app-taxis for nighttime transportation...parking garage and outdoor parking lot spaces available to hotel patrons for a reasonable upcharge. Limited restaurant options on premises outside of established meal hours and only hotel convenience store available after 2200 local time. Will return if have a future event in downtown Baltimore that would run late and benefit from an overnight stay in downtown Baltimore.

I’ve never had a poor experience with the Marriott chain until my stay here. The fridge had black mold in it because it had been unplugged and not plugged back in. The tv remote control had some sort of food or gunk on it. The front desk was quick in responding about the fridge, but the one that was brought up to my room didn’t work! So, the amazing cleaning ladies cleaned the black mold from the original once since it did work.

Our stay was from 11pm to 9am, not even 24 hours, and my card was charged an extra $277. I called 4 times, 3 different numbers/extensions, to inquire why I was charged this amount and was told(after 30minutes) that there was nothing they could do and I would need to talk to my bank. No one could tell me what the charge was for and repeatedly told the information could not be pulled up. I asked to speak to a manager several times and was told no. I have worked in this industry before and if you cannot provide me an itemized receipt or a refund then you have some serious legal issues coming your way. I'm sure we will be in contact very soon, but I would love to get this resolved before it comes to that.

The room is spacious. The hotel is dated and it looks worn. The hallways were not clean. The club is open and it has snacks, drinks, and coffee. Check in was quick and without hassle. It's not the best and it's not the worst. I would probably explore other options next time I'm here but if I ended up here it would be ok .

  • 3/5 Neil A. 1 year ago on Google
The service here is great. The staff does a great job at cleaning the place and welcoming you . However the hotel does need a great overhaul. The rooms feel like you walked on the set of “ married with children” … really dated. Other than that it’s really central to Oriole park and other highlights downtown.
