Pros: Large mini fridge in room Huge room Cons: Pretty much everything else…. Checked in around 10:45pm and the woman working the front desk was totally confused. She couldn’t get the computer system to work so we could put down our deposit. That’s fine, we stood and waited patiently while she tried to figure it out. Eventually she started drinking her drink, working on some paperwork and organizing the front desk. We were still standing there assuming we were waiting on her to figure out the system. After about 5 minutes of her doing other tasks I asked her, “so are we good? Can we go to the room?” She said she was waiting on a manager who wouldn’t be in until 11pm. So odd to not communicate with customers what is going on and just let them stand there. I wonder how long she was going to let us just aimlessly stand there. She definitely shouldn’t be working a customer service job. The rest of the female front desk workers we passed were overall unfriendly and didn’t greet us and just glared when we came and went with the exception of the one gentleman working there. Now to the room… the room had no basic amenities. No shampoo provided. Only one bottle of body lotion and 2 bars of soap. I asked the front desk for a hair dryer as there wasn’t one in the room. I opened it up turned it on and immediately it began smoking when turned on. Unusable. No room cleaning service either. One of the worst parts had to be no working air conditioning. We stayed 4 nights and turned the a/c on immediately and set it down to 65 degrees. Unfortunately one of the days it was 86 degrees outside so our room went up to 78 degrees despite the air conditioning being “on”. Nothing like paying to be sweltering hot while trying to fall asleep. I was surprised we had a shower curtain as previous reviewers did not. Unfortunately the shower curtain was not the right size for the bar and wouldn’t stay spread when used. The curtain would immediately fall back onto itself so water sprayed all over the bathroom floor each time the shower was used. Our room itself was filthy. I think the only thing semi clean was the bed which appeared to have somewhat clean sheets even though there were little black specks on them. The room had dust bunnies, smelled of must and cigarettes, and appeared to have blood on the windowsill. I honestly don’t think they clean between guests because everything from the floor to the counter tops to the bath tub was dirty. The room was completely falling apart and looks like no maintenance has been done in a decade. Please view the photos to see how filthy and decrepit this place is. Clearly the owner has no sense of pride in the property. Some fresh paint and a clean in between guests would have done the place wonders. While overall the inner harbor area seems safe, this hotel is on a sketchy patch of Lombard. Expect to see people eating sandwiches out of the dumpster and being hassled for money the minute you step out. I was very surprised this was rated 3 stars, I would give it 1 star at best. Comfort Inn should definitely investigate this property. Does not live up to the basic standard of the brand. Save yourself the hassle and spend a few extra bucks to stay somewhere nicer than this dump.

The hotel is run down and uncomfortable. Due to a large conference, hotels quickly sold out for this weekend. My husband and I booked a suite in this hotel. The only positive was that the room was very spacious. However, it was run down, had low ceilings, was very dark and dreary, the bathtub water was constantly dripping, and the breakfast was not properly stocked. The doors to the rooms are also stuck, so you have to forcefully open them and then they slam shut. The room smelled strongly of bleach and appeared clean, but the other elements left me uncomfortable the entire weekend. Additionally, as others mentioned, the hotel does not have it’s own parking, which is inconvenient and an added expense. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will never stay again.

Overall we had a comfortable stay. Initially loved the renovated room, though there were still a lot of flaws inside. No microwave, couch was broken, hot water was not working. We were informed that it was a maintenance issue with the entire building. Taking a cold shower was a rude awakening, Lol! We were horrified by the reviews we read after our stay. So looks like they addressed the issue of strong smoke and weed smells by implementing a strict no parties and no smoking policy. There is traffic and typical street noises. Which didn't bother me and I was able to sleep during the day, since I am night shifter. We were able to open the windows, but was hard to regulate temperature of the room. The staff was kind and professional, check in went smoothly. Loved the location. Close to many restaurants and the harbor. Parking is expensive so shop around. Also if anyone is 6'4" or taller, be careful of the lower parts of the ceiling, you can smack your head pretty good if you're not paying attention.

Had to battle the weed cloud at the front door. No on-site parking. No wash cloths or hand towels, guess I was lucky to get two towels. I understand supply chain issues but, when they ‘cleaned’ the room… don’t they put the linen into the rooms at that time? The TV didn’t work but was fixed when I called downstairs….that guy said he didn’t mind running as he is making money. Thank you sir but you had already been there since 5am and it was around 10 when you came to the room. I hope you got some sleep. oh yeah.. the phone in the room is dead so I guess it’s for decoration? Use your cell phone to call the desk if you need anything. The previous Reno looks like it was done by a 5year old Not a professional. No breakfast, the poor girl was still cleaning up after the previous convention—also the reason I was given for no linen, they used all he had. The manager hasn’t been there long and is trying to fix things. I wish him luck. For what they charged for my stay…. I wish I had spent a little more and stayed somewhere else.

I’ve enjoyed my stay here. It’s a little outdated, but good value for the location. Clean and spacious rooms. Comfy bedding. Breakfast from 7-10, rooms have a fridge & microwave. Parking is across the street for $25/day. Staff was friendly & helpful.

About the only pro to this hotel was the location on the waterfront. Otherwise, it's by far the worst Comfort Inn I've visited. Upon arrival, we were greeted with someone smoking on the front steps, the elevators seemed ready for scrapping, and the rooms were generally grimy, though not as moldy as some others have experienced. The bathroom fan didn't work to move any air, which resulted in the entire bathroom being wet after our showers. Though there was plenty of water on the walls and floor, there was no hot water available from the sink faucet. We do not consider this hotel to be good value for the price we paid.

I want to preface this review with a shout out to the manager who has been great. The hotel is perfectly placed next to the inner harbor. That is all the good this hotel is in shambles there is exposed wires in at least a few areas of our room. The elevator locked with my son in it. I worked with the staff to get the room keys to work on no less than 7 occasions.

I don't really feel comfortable giving such a negative review, but I feel it would be a disservice to potential guests to not highlight things that at the very least, are potentially serious health hazards - First and foremost is mold. It's everywhere. Once you notice it you will see it everywhere. Every air vent is literally coated in black mold spores. There were mold colonies the size of my fist growing along the walls of the AC vents. Unfortunately I couldn't get a pic of it, camera focus/flash would only pick up the white grills on them. The renovators tried to hide it in other places, but not very well. They painted over mold on the ceilings, probably not aware that if you don't kill it, it would grow through the paint. They floored over it, but did not have the laminate boards meet flush with the carpet at the front door, so you could see that it was directly under the laminate that was stuck down on top of it. Switches and power points were not properly fixed to the walls and you could see black mold creeping out from behind their housings. The fans in the bathroom were inoperable, meaning condensation formed on every surface in the bathroom, without proper caulking of the joints. Unsurprisingly, more mold. Also an electrical hazard as it is an open motor in a wet area with corroded wires (pic attached). The fixtures weren't properly installed to a point that the shower railing was coming out of the wall, a d was supported by a random piece of dowel (or a chopstick) that was driven into the plaster. Anyone that slips in that shower and accidentally grabs the curtain is getting a metal bar to the dome when it collapses under stress. I was staying there with my father, both on a business trip & separate rooms. His wasn't much better. Hotel was chosen for budget reasons (currency conversion was pretty bad), but due to my dad's advanced age and a multitude of respiratory issues that were exacerbated from him having half a lung removed and fused a couple years ago, we left after 2 nights knowing we'd be paying near double the price and would be unlikely to recoup the remaining 5 nights. Even the elevators had expired maintenance certificates. Staff were great. Location was perfect. I wouldn't trust the electrics or the air quality wearing full PPE, and that's coming from two people who were in Baltimore to attend a medical science convention. Literally stay anywhere else, especially if you have asthma or respiratory issues.

TLDR: you get what you pay for. Pros: the staff, who helped resolve any issues they could, and the location, which is really close to a lot of Baltimore attractions. The room I had was also spacious, even if there were problems. Cons: just about everything else, unfortunately. It’s clear this hotel needs a huge investment of money, but renovations are seemingly stalled. Some things that were negative about my stay were: a broken tv, a sink that only has cold water, having to request a shower curtain (a first for me), no parking, a door that didn’t always close all the way, and a hotel that is just generally run down. It’s clear this hotel was pretty decent even a few years ago, it just needs a lot of help. It’s fine for a night, as a place to crash, but I don’t think I’d stay here again without a clear investment in the staff and building. Also -- they have charged my card multiple times for this stay with different 'authorizations'. I called the 24 hour customer service line and was told there is nothing they can do until two weeks (!) after I check out. This complaint is not specific to this hotel, but more the chain. Really disappointed with this-- but want to reiterate the staff were as helpful as they could be within their constraints. Comfort Inn, support your staff.

I'm disappointed and disgusted with this hotel's inflexibility to keep their customers and potential customers safe. I called and explained that the inclement weather would prevent me from being able to safely travel and support my mother who is disabled and I am a caretaker for. I called to cancel the reservation and because I called outside of the window, they're refusing to cancel or refund. According to their General Manager Derek, since the storm is tomorrow (when I would clearly be traveling BACK based upon my booking), the inclement weather should not be a concern. Absurd. So it's clear to me that this Comfort Inn & Suites and its management, specifically Derek, do not have the basic kindness and humanity to understand their customers' needs particularly those with disabilities or caring for those with disabilities.

The experience I had yesterday at this hotel was by far the worse. Me and my cousin was visiting Baltimore for the first time and decided to stay here. Well needless to say the first room was very nasty. Grease stains on the headboard, dirty mirrors, bathroom sink was very dirty. We had to go down to the front desk and ask if our room could be changed. Well upon arriving to the new room. The bed was in the middle of the floor. The pillows and the linen on the bed were a total mess. After that bad experience we decided to check out. With all the filth that we experienced we decided to check out after only being there 3 hours. This place is dirty, smells like mildew. I would never patronize this facility ever again.

The staff was nice, and the complimentary breakfast was satisfying. I did not like my bathroom. The last night, my toilet went on the fritz. Staff was helpful with finding a solution. The bathroom altogether needed remodeling.

While driving to this hotel I saw new reviews of this hotel that scared me, however we had absolutely no problems at this place. We paid for a king room and were upgraded to a king suite. The employees were fantastic. The room was very clean, and the proximity to the harbor was great. For the price, it certainly was a bargain.

Staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. Pretty good breakfast included with typical fair, served in a room with a great view of the harbor. Bed was very comfortable, although building seems to going through renovations, making the common areas a little unsightly. For the price not a bad choice.

The proximity to the inner harbor is perfect. The evening clerk was great very personable. Even the security guard that monitors the outside was great to speak with. The hotel is going to renovations, which was probably a long time coming, but not rating based on that. The room was not cleaned thoroughly. We found a leftover sock on the floor. Garbage on the bathroom floor and in the dresser drawers. No hairdryer. We've stayed at several Comfort Inns and truly enjoy the complimentary breakfast of waffles, eggs, and sausage. However, we only found out in the morning they were only serving cold cereal and muffins. Very disappointing.

Absolutely atrocious. Our room door wouldn't lock, the room was beyond dirty. The continental breakfast was barely set up the first day and even if it was set up the second day I wouldn't have tried a single crumb with how dirty and moldy the one juice machine was. It also didn't work wich asks the question of if it was ever even cleaned when it was working. The hot water in the mens public bathroom also didn't work and there were broken light fixtures. Honestly the hotel should just probably be condemned..well considering previous reviews. It should be condemned again. Update 10/6/23 Thanks for responding to my review Comfort Inn. I do hope you did remedy your hotel offerings in the past week. I did however bring all issues to the front desks attention as well as the attention of the manager on duty who didn't seem surprised by any of the issues my family had. The hotel has great potential, it just needs an owner that cares and executes.

Everyone was really nice and friendly but they were undergoing extensive remodeling. The toilet and shower ran pretty constantly and a worker came into our room, I'm assume to work on it, but left when he saw us. It wasn't a huge deal but I would expect to not pay full price during construction. My biggest complaint, I was very upset when we were told breakfast on the weekends was from 7-10 and we got there at 915 and it was cleaned up and the woman told us it was from 6-9, which starts your day off on a bad foot.

We are currently staying here and have not been please. My employee upon check in went straight to his room and he had no shower curtain, no complimentary hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. Honestly the hair soap wasn’t the problem it was no hand soap and shower curtain. My room also had no hand soap. When I asked for our rooms to be serviced and for fresh towels and extra wash clothes I was yelled at across the lobby by the housekeeper asking me where I left them. I left at 9am and returned back at 530pm and my room was in fact not serviced and no fresh towels and the dirty towels where where I had left them. I immediately called downstairs but no one answers the other phone. I even called from my cell phone and still no answer. I have stayed at other choice hotels and am disappointed with this location. If you are wanting to book here keep in mind the windows are not well insulated and you can hear EVERYTHING from outside. I had a hard time sleeping because it’s like having your windows down. The water also does not properly drain in both rooms.

Visiting We attempted to book online which then said we could not have our room until 3pm which it was a late hour in the night but the front desk lady charge us a fee of $150 plus the $100 fee that they hold until you check out. The front desk lady never gave us a check out time but we’d assume it be longer than 5 hours we were awaken by the manager at 11:30 banging on our door telling us we have to get out. then when i was going to get my stuff together and get changed the manager was just standing there with the door wide open staring in so when i went to go close the door he shouted “Do not close this door” I told him i’m a female that is in the middle of changing he growled and closed the door threatening us with police if we weren’t out on his time. The service was absolutely terrible down to the manager. now speaking on the quality on this room definitely not the worth the price we paid bathrooms were filthy with stained bathtubs stained toilet, wallpaper falling off the walls, down to the buzzing of the loud lights. the only thing this place is good for us being close to the harbor and having a good view otherwise our experience was terrible as we were checking out waiting for a ride the manager had came up to us told us not to stay again,, my question is for what though because we didn’t get out the room at the time you needed us too?? or because i asked you to give my privacy. Which is fine because we did not plan on coming back so him doing that was completely unnecessary. definitely not long term stay I wouldn’t ever come back here for a night let alone another few hours.

I don’t even know where to start. When we walked in our room there was a drill still plugged into the wall and the one tv didn’t work. The people in the room next to us were partying and definitely smoking. They say there’s a no smoking policy but some people don’t follow the rules. The hotel is under construction which is why it’s also kinda bad. The elevator makes a weird noise and I got scared it would break or we would get stuck. The only good thing about this place was at the top floor there was a nice view of the harbor but that was the only good thing. If you’re on a tight budget knock yourself out coming here but I do warn you about this place. I felt very scared there. Be careful if you do come here.

The only good things I can say is good at the hotel is the convenience of being close to some of the key surrounding areas like the aquarium and a few restaurants for instance that are walking distance away. Other than that, I never experienced a hotel with no housekeeping service, their customer parking is away from the hotel, so they do have valet parking services, my room didn't have an iron, only one pillow, the phone line inactive and no shower curtains. Once I made my request for my shower curtains and extra pillows. They were given to me at the front desk. Remember I stated, "no housekeeping services", so you become instantly the self-serving housekeeper for your own suite. Well in addition to all that I've stated, at least the queen size bed was very comfortable!👌🏾

I stayed here for a 2 night stay for my son's appointment at John's Hopkins. Yes this facility is in need of some TLC but all in all it wasn't as bad as I heard. My room WAS cleaned and smelled good. Yes there were problems such as torn seat cushions, a torn shower curtain, stains on the Counters, just tto name a few. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was filling and delicious. You can't beat the location and parking garages are everywhere, prices are reasonable. If you would ask me if I would stay again, the answer is yes.

I’ve never been the one to leave a review but this place made me do it. This hotel is dirty, so many things I could say. The elevators are so old and dirty, our room was not what we expected at all. The bathroom was disgusting, the door didn’t even have a lock. The walls were patched up and looked like the work wasn’t finished. The bathroom vent sounded like a car needing breaks lol. The floors and counter tops were so dirty, we asked for a broom and cleaning supplies so we can clean the room ourselves. Never again, this place is not even worth $50 a night.

READ BEFORE YOU BOOK HERE! Worst experience at a hotel we have ever had! We are taking our formal complaints to the corporate level. Among many, many things, the smell of marijuana is awful, from the lobby to the hallways, to the actual rooms. Mind you, we stayed here in the winter time, our small hotel room was 81 degrees! There was a thermostat in the room that showed the temperature but did not adjust. Complained to the front desk and the staff members were so extremely rude stating "there is NOTHING that can be done about the temperature, CRACK A WINDOW." were her exact words! In the middle of winter in a city full of crime where sirens were blaring ALL NIGHT! I would have loved for the staff to try to sleep in this room! Needless to say at 3 am we decided to leave and make our long drive home! Could not even make it the entire night--it was THAT bad. Again, we had MANY complaints and rude encounters with staff, but those will be made formally. Very unprofessional! Pay the extra money and stay at another hotel!

They just need to manicure the professionalism. I don’t want to hear about employees drama while checking in. There were gnats in the room. But I guess everything else was cool. Naveah at front desk I think, is keeping that boat afloat from what I seen.

  • 5/5 David M. 3 months ago on Google New
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Derek and Navaha at the front desk along with the cleaning and breakfast staff. The rooms were very clean with nice comfortable beds and pillows. The location was perfect being just a couple of blocks from the harbor, right across the street from a 24-hour Subway, and a couple blocks from a Walgreens and the UPS Store. The hot breakfast was very good with eggs, sausage or bacon, waffles, muffins, etc, and it was nice eating on the top (11th) floor with a great view of the city. I would highly recommend staying here.

Do not stay here. This hotel is absolutely horrid. When we arrived they didn’t have any towels for us..they said they were out. Our A/C barely worked, and when it was on it was putting out fumes/gas and sounded like there was a plane taking off. The bathroom vanity was barely held together with wood planks and a paint can, and the halls smell like nail polish remover. Overall dirty and stinky.

Obviously I didn’t book a room at the Comfort Inn expecting a luxury hotel experience, but for the price we paid it definitely exceeded expectations! The entire staff was kind, accommodating, and a great representation of not only the brand but Baltimore itself. From the amazing front desk worker, to the breakfast staff, to housekeeping not once did I pass an employee without them asking about our stay and seeing if there was anything they could do for us. The location was perfect and convenient for our plans. The rooms could use a little TLC but what hotel doesn’t need a little updating? All in all, we were extremely happy with our stay and I have to say that this was the best staff of any hotel I’ve stayed at in the passed few years.

This is 1 of the only reviews I have ever written, but I believe it is necessary. Do not stay here! It is absolutely disgusting. The lobby is in disrepair, the couch is missing a leg & is literally just sitting there lopsided. That I could look past… funky smell… eh… it’s only 1 night, we can deal with it. We get to the room & notice the ceiling height is extremely low, every light is on, as well as the TV’s…. Weird, but ok. We booked a suite because there is 4 of us on the reservation. It’s a queen bed & pull out sofa. When I went to make the sofa bed, it was very obvious the sheets were neither fresh or clean. Still, I tried to ignore it. No obvious stains… just clearly used sheets. I went to the bathroom to put some things down before heading out & was greeted by cockroaches. 🪳🤢 We packed everything back up & left. We were offered another room. Skeptical, but short on time, we accepted. Again every single light is on, including both TV’s…. Now I think I understand why…. It’s an effort to keep the cockroaches out of site. I tried to be ok & grabbed the sheets out of the closet to make the bed, & right away I noticed they were also dirty, with big stains all over them!! They are literally not washing the sheets between guests! We ran downstairs, returned the keys & went to a different hotel! No one at the front desk seemed surprised, they were generally responsive & assured me a manager would call me in the morning to issue me a refund. If they get an exterminator in there & better house keepers, it could be a decent hotel, until then, stay far FAR away.

The room was filthy. It looked like nothing had been wiped down except for the toilet. I had to sanitize everything myself with the Lysol wipes I brought. The floor was sticky and the comforter and sheets on the bed were not clean. I'm not sure that they changed the sheets after the last guest. Also, it reeked of weed in the hallway and in the room. The only nice thing I can say is that the man working at the front desk was really nice and friendly. Everything else was disappointing. I couldn't rest because I was paranoid due to how dirty the room was. I would not come back here if I come to Baltimore again.

It's everything that everyone has been saying - it sucks. Both TVs didn't work, cold showers, sticky floors, and the AC blows out warm air. We lasted about 6 hours before checking out. I was deceived by the photos and neglected the reviews. Great marketing Comfort Inn, you got my ass😐

This place was terrible. Dirty. The shades of the window had food/blood all over it. The toilet was running all night, we had to turn off the water. The whole place smelled like sewage. Never again. You’d think a hotel so close to inner harbor would be nice. The one star is for the view- which wasn’t the greatest but could see some nice scenery.

  • 1/5 Dean G. 10 months ago on Google
Don't stay here!!!!! Worst Comfort Inn ever! I am a Choice Rewards Diamond member and wasted 40,000 points to stay here for 2 nights. The AC did not work, their hotel amenities claim Valet parking and hot breakfast, neither were available, no coffee or tea in the lobby. The machine was flashing empty for 2 days. They were giving room keys to guests to rooms already occupied. We were able to watch TV once during our stay, otherwise there was no signal. We had to ask for wash clothes. They are understaffed and its obvious the owner does not care!

We we're really underwhelmed with our stay here. I wish I had read the reviews. The TV didnt work, only about a 1/3 roll of toilet paper for our stay. Only one outlet worked for our chargers, the whole hotel smells so strong of weed. Our room was half painted. I don't understand, was there an emergency that you had to stop painting it and just decided not to ever finish? I can't imagine that elevator would pass code. Also there is no valet, even though the website states there is. It's been a long time since I've stayed in such a disgusting place. Make sure to never stay here.

While the room was ok at best, it was the most affordable inner harbor hotel. The part I liked most was that I could kind of see the harbor from my window. However beware! I woke up in the morning to an $800 and a $300 charge on my credit card from Comfort Inn. The front desk said they’re system was “hacked”. The did refund the money but I have found out from other locals that this has happened here before.

  • 1/5 Kimberly M. 1 year ago on Google
CLICK ON MY NAME AND THEN CLICK PHOTOS TO SEE PICS FROM MY 1 HOUR STAY! This hotel should be ashamed! It should close down completely until major renovations happen. The elevator is damaged from the flooring to the walls. You are let off on your floor to the smell of bug spray, like the pest control person just left! And the rooms... wallpaper peeling, under the bed is dry rotting, the sheets don't fit the mattress, the windowsill caulk looks like vomit, the tv has a wall mount but sitting on a wobbly stand... I was OUT within an hour! Demanded a full refund and checked into a wonderful hotel nearby that admitted they heard how bad it was. Have some integrity Comfort Inn. SHUT DOWN AND GET IT TOGETHER!!!

Let me say u get what u pay for. The condition of the room is not as clean as it looks. The heat doesn't work. I went to the breakfast upstairs I got hot water and a muffin they didn't have anything much out. I understand its Christmas eve so they probably thought no one would be here. The bed was itchy and because it was cold i didn't sleep good at all. There no phone u have to go out in the hallway if u want the front desk. The staff was nice a young man helped with my bags and the lady at the check in was nice.

The ONLY decent thing was the location. And seeing that Baltimore is a crime hole, I’m not even certain that is saying much. 1. Smell of pot INTENSE and CONSTANT. Might be the right place for you if you like that. 2. Too few towels. 3. In our room, 2 of the 4 light bulbs in the room were NOT working. Style was very dank and grey compared to online photos. We were thankful that our TV worked however since one of the maintenance men was saying over 40 of them in the hotel were not. 4. Renovation is one thing. Holes in the ceiling, dripping water is another. 5. The staff tried to be nice but they were not informative and gave us false info involving check out time. They also did not magnetize our keys for the duration of our stay- we had to go back and get 4 keys remade. Super inconvenient. Look elsewhere unless you plan to be high during your stay.

Ideal location to explore the Inner Harbor. Yes some parts of the hotel need updated but overall it was clean. Our room was somewhat updated and very clean. The staff were phenomenal. They were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay!

I had a pretty decent experience. While a lot of people had bad experiences, I could see the hotel fixing the issues they brought up after the news. The A/C worked fine and the only bathroom issues were with the shower curtain. Bed was clean and made every day. Location was mostly convenient to the convention center and the major attractions. I didn’t notice a lot of issues overall.
