This place is ran by incompetent staff. My wife was staying here for a work trip so I decided to have a local business deliver flowers to the hotel. I called in advance and the staff said they would have no problems dropping the flowers and chocolates off in her room. I even specified that she was working all day, not in the room and you’d have to go in regardless of the DND sign being up. The front desk staff said that was no problem. So I called a local florist. Paid for flowers, chocolate, and delivery. Over $100 and it was delivered to the hotel as promised. However the staff did NOT get it to my wife. After much hassle I finally was told they would provide points to compensate for my money spent. This was so that I didn’t have to call the florist and hurt that business by asking for my refund since my wife didn’t even get her flowers. I really didn’t want to hurt the small business I had just supported. Well, it’s been over 5 weeks and she still hasn’t received the points she was promised because of their incompetence. To make matters worse, they didn’t even get her points for her actual stay! We are working a complaint up to corporate at the moment but I want EVERYONE to know how worthless these folks are that work here. Don’t spend a single dime in this facility. They DO NOT value your business and certainly don’t think you’re worth following through on their promises. As for the florist. She was wonderful and felt horrible and I already left her a raving 5 star review. I’ll add that my wife said the staff was impolite, said the building was ghetto as can be. All sorts of broken things all over in the room and around the hotel. Corporate Marriott needs to do a thorough inspection of this facility and take away it affiliation cause it’s absolutely not Marriott worthy.

I checked into room 522 on February 23, 2022. The following morning my husband and I were in the bed and saw a bedbug in our bed. I called the desk and told them I thought I had a bedbug in my room. About 10 minutes later security came up and took a picture and left. I was frantic! We waited about 30 minutes before we were assigned to another room. No one apologized. After waiting so long, I went downstairs to the desk to ask for another room. No one asked if we were okay or acknowledged the problem we had just encounter. It was until we were moved to the next room and I took a shower that I noticed the bite on my arm. By the next morning it was very itchy and it was very swollen. We checked out at 7:00 AM on Sunday, February 27 and I asked to speak to a manger. There was not a manger working during that hours, so the security came and took my name and telephone number so the manger could give me a call. He also took a picture of the bite on my arm. I have not received a call from the manger as of today, March 2, 2022. I looked at my trip on the BonVoy app and my trip was gone from the app! No points! It was if I had not stayed at the hotel for 4 nights! Also, at check-in I won 3000 points and they were there! I am disappointed in how I was treated!

I stayed at the Inner Harbor Marriott on 6/26 -6/29 for a conference at the Hilton (across the street). I literally tried to change rooms to the Hilton because of my experience. (unfortunately they were sold out) My stay at the Marriott was horrible. I thought that it being a Marriott property it would be a nice experience. The hotel lobby is nice but that is where the nice ends. I had to move from my room in the middle of the night as there was a huge roach crawling across my wall. During the move I wasn't given a room key as the machine was down and had to be escorted to my room by security. (the key machine didn't become available until later the next day) The tv in the room I was moved never worked properly and the bathroom curtains where filthy. I never felt truly comfortable. The hotel rooms need a COMPLETE renovation. The staff were extremely courtesy and apologetic about my room but offered no type of compensation or extended apology. Moving forward I would never recommend a Marriott property but DEFINITELY NOT Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden.

The lobby was great. Amazing bar and pizza place. Check in is nice, quick and friendly, we went to the orioles game and it was a stones throw away, so for our purposes a great location. The rooms are a bit dated and could use a little upgrade but it served its purpose for the weekend. Overall was very happy with the hotel.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It took an hour to check in, although they did give me a $10 voucher to use at their restaurant for the inconvenience without me asking. The key slot and door handles are extremely fickle and I had a lot of trouble and heard others complaining about it as well. There were dirty towels from the previous guest in my room and when I asked them to take care of them they asked me to put them out in the hallway, which I don’t think I should have had to touch them. Overflowing trash by the elevator wasn’t removed for over 24 hours. The hot water took 10 minutes to start every time I took a shower and would change temperature randomly through my shower. Front desk customer service was rude and made me feel like a huge inconvenience when I asked for additional coffee creamer, towels, and coffee because they didn’t provide enough for my 4 night stay and they never came in and restocked my room or anything even though I never had the “privacy please” sign on my door. The room itself looked run down and outdated with scratched up furniture and an old mattress that had a lump in it. The fitness center was littered with tons of empty water bottles and the equipment was sticky. I will say the bar/restaurant was great as far as food, upkeep, and service and the housekeeping staff always said hello when I passed them in the hallways. But overall I would not recommend this hotel at all.

I experienced awesome customer service upon checking in and throughout my stay at this Marriott in downtown Baltimore. My first interaction with Bruce was very pleasant and personable, setting the stage for the rest of my stay. He made sure my check in process was swift and pleasant. I appreciate him taking the time to ask how I was and holding small talk during the 5 minute process. Great job Bruce, you’re definitely an asset to the Marriott brand! The rooms need updating but the customer service was commendable.

I was really surprised by just how lousy this experience was. Every corner is cut here. The nicest thing about the place was the convenient parking and the pretty lobby. But then you remember their revolving door was broken, so all foot traffic has to squeeze through a small front door. Went upstairs to a dated, gloomy hallway aesthetic which led to an ugly, dirty, unwelcoming room. They provided us with a menu for the bar downstairs and I couldn't believe how cheap it was. A photocopy of a photocopy, photocopied incorrectly. You couldn't read the words, and half of them didn't make it on the page! Cable TV delivered via an old coax cable, outrageous pay per day Internet, slow to heat shower, ever-blinking light from the fire alarm over the bed, thin walls, a thin, uncomfortable mattress, and exorbitant daily parking rates make this place a permanent skip. But that old, ratty, extra blanket I requested makes me question the Marriott brand entirely. After seeing similar reviews for this place, I can't wait to get my own tone-deaf, copy/paste reply from someone who will never offer compensation of any kind.

The service checking in and at the bar was great. This hotel appeared to be staffed properly, or at least the workers definitely put on the work face everyday. Great employees. Rooms are outdated. I did see a sign stating a remodel is coming. Easy hotel to find at night. The hotel has security which is needed in a city. My main complaint was the bed. The mattress was thin and fitted sheet cover was to small(and on backwards). I definitely preferred my bed at home.

I will start off by saying the staff were lovely. And the location is great (near the convention center and the water!). And everything was functional. But the hotel is incredibly dated and in bad need of a refresh. And for that price I'd expect more. This might not matter to many but working out is super important to me when traveling and the gym is terrible. Honestly one of the worst I've ever seen... In the basement with no ventilation, super old equipment, only had one mat that was falling apart, no smaller dumbbells. Would love to see it after a good update!

We are so happy we selected this hotel! I must say I was a little concerned when we checked a few recent negative reviews initially but, we proceeded and took a gamble because of the location distance to our event and we are so happy we did. Great location just a block around the corner from the CFC Arena. On-site parking was available with in and out privileges for $34.00. They served breakfast - free for owners meeting the specified status level. Bar was open until 12am and there was also a pizza place located in the lobby as well. We did not get a chance to take many pics of the room but, we will add additional pics to my review when we come back in a few weeks. 😉 Customer service was on point with everyone we interacted with as well. We are giving them a strong ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️from our experience. We were extremely pleased with our stay.

I read a lot of reviews about this hotel, more bad reviews than good so I was skeptical but I had to judge for myself. I like this hotel. The hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are what's expected of a HOTEL. The room was really spacious. My room had 2 full sized beds, they weren't a queen but they were clean and comfortable. The on site restaurant was AMAZING! The crab balls are delicious 😋 and there are no fillers!! The hotel is in a perfect area, near EVERYTHING. There is a charge of $35 for parking. For some strange reason, the website where I booked this room had a notice to upgrade to a room with AC for an additional charge. I was confused by this thinking shouldn't all the rooms have AC... I didn't upgrade and the room had an AC box in it, just not the temperature control on the wall.

Stayed at this location for a conference. All hotels were booked so I couldn't change reservations. Shower water was cold everyday. The internet barely worked in the hotel room but great in the lobby. The TV channels were basically Fox 5. The best part of the room was the night spray for sleep and the soaps and lotion. It made me think of a spa when I used them.

My stay was fine, but they double charged me $662. We have called a dozen times over the last 45 days. They promise to call back and never do. I called the general Marriott number and they didn't help but just sent the incident report back to the hotel. I stay at Marriott all of the time and generally am happy, but I'll never stay at this property again and am rethinking my preference to stay at all Marriotts if this is how they treat customers.

Okay my original post was accidentally deleted by me, but to say this place was great was an understatement. My husband and I arrived super early with our children and the front desk didn't even bat an eyelash when we asked to check in early. The bartender was super amazing as well. He recommended drinks to us and he didn't disappoint. I wish I knew his name, but it was the early shift bartender. I mean he made a mean drink for my husband that literally tasted like coffee, but with bourbon and I hate bourbon. The Yard had great food for a hotel, as well as the pizza place. On top of that, everywhere you went there was literally an employee asking if everything was okay. I love that attention to detail. People have bad days, but you could never tell with these employees. I used to work with customer service and that says a lot about management. For those wondering what I meant, it means they care. We came here for the Christmas Village and decided to give the Marriott a chance over Hilton and Hyatt and we are so glad we did. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The rooms and decor are very dated but it looks as though they are working on a refresh. One of the strangest things we noticed was the placement of the room numbers. As you are walking down the hall, the numbers are on the WRONG side of the recessed entry so you actually have to walk past a door and then turn around to see the number. You would have been fine coming from the other direction, but that was a dead end. It was really weird. There is also only 1 escalator in the main lobby (they usually come in pairs) and this one doesn't work. There are 2 restaurants on site. One is full service with a bar and the other is brick oven pizza. Both had great looking menus and we look forward to checking them out. Surprisingly, there is also a self serve beer and wine wall. You tap you room key and drink away! The location of the hotel is wonderful. It is a block from the train and a short walk to the Inner Harbor. The downside is the Fire Station across the street and the sirens that go with it. As for the staff, they have been wonderful. We are here on business and they have gone above and beyond to assist us.

The main appeal of this hotel is the proximity to the convention center nearby and the attached bar/restaurant is accessible at most times of the day even for a late night dinner. The check in process was very smooth and the staff there were very helpful. I also appreciate that there was a water refill station conveniently by the elevators and free coffee was served in the mornings as well. The downsides based off of my experience include: the rooms at the time I went (last January) were very antiquated, complimentary wifi assigned to my room was hard to access/confusing and it kept dropping my connection, regular room service was uncharacteristically sparse, there wasn’t complimentary water bottles and the in-room fridge was very hard to get access to.

Great location after a concert at the stadium! When the concert collided witha playoff game, the scene downtown was crazy. Hotel staff did an excellent job getting everyone checked into the hotel and into the garage quickly and kindly! Proud of my hometown for showing some great service

I had made my reservation months in advance, and I had confirmed it in the weeks leading up to my stay. I even checked in online. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that they were overbooked and that there was no room for me. I was very surprised, as I had been assured that my reservation was confirmed. The hotel staff offered to put me in a different hotel, but it was much further away. I was very disappointed, as I had already paid for my room at this hotel. I was also frustrated with the way I was treated by the hotel staff. They did not seem to be helpful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you are looking for a reliable and accommodating hotel, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I can highly recommend this hotel. The staff was terrific. If you have a concert at the CFG arena, this is the place to go. I loved the beer bar where you could serve yourself with beer by the ounce. The first time I experienced such a variety of beers from the tap, which you can serve yourself. Suppose you are a Merriott member and have access to the lounge I highly recommend to use it. The service was also incredible.

Front desk staff was above average in terms of hospitality and accommodating requests. Great location. Room decor might be a little dated, but our room was sparkling clean and the beds were very comfy with plenty of hot water. Would stay again.

Let’s start with the good: The folks here helping to run things smoothly were great! Front desk check in , security to our server at The Yard! Everyone was so helpful. Special shout out to our Server and Securtiy. We were in a rush to get to the baseball game and mistakenly left the credit card. We realized this and called the Yard and they had worked with security to return the card to our room! THANK YOU TEAM FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! The location is awesome! Walkable to the baseball field, inner harbor and restaurants! We enjoyed parking and walking! Items of improvement: Decor is a little dated. However things were clean and for the most part comfortable. Our biggest complaint is we had ZERO hot water. Didn’t matter time of day, letting it run for 20 minutes, etc. we had constant cool water so taking a shower was not the best. We were only here a couple of days but we did trying mornings(which we thought could be part of issue with business), afternoons and evening. Just never got it and we were only there a couple days. Other than that, issue for the money we were happy with the choice.

Came here for overnight stay in advance of hospital procedure the following day. My room had a view of the parking garage. They kept trying to get me to sign up for stuff. The parking garage elevator was not working in the morning. You have to check in before using the parking garage, so I ran inside while my companion kept the car idling on the street, and I had a long wait to check in, even though there was no one ahead of me. My vegan companion had a hard time finding a dinner from the room service menu and ended up with a salad and sweet potato fries. No matter how high I set the thermostat, the bathroom was always cold.

I went for a quick one-night trip with the family for a concert. The staff were so welcoming & friendly, especially Bruce! The room was very clean but a little dated. Mini fridges would be a great addition - not having one didn't bother us since we were only there for one night, but I can see where it would make a difference for those staying longer. The hotel is located in an area with a very dense homeless population. There were people sleeping on the sidewalk directly outside the hotel in the middle of the day, which made us reluctant to walk anywhere.

Awful hotel!!! My parcel was stolen by Marriott employees and I’ve never heard back from the hotel customer service. This parcel was extremely important for me. I stayed 3 weeks ago and have left already over 5 emails and numerous calls to the customer service. They promised to get back in 3-5 weeks but no response… So that’s your customer service? Absolutely disappointed with Marriott and their stuff working in this hotel.

There is some construction on the road outside the hotel, so at night, you can hear cars driving over the metal cover. The hotel itself is quite nice. The first room I was given reeked of stale smoke. When I went down to be sure I wasn't charged incidentals, William at the front desk was more than understanding and immediately changed me to a different room. As I was just going to be sleeping, it wasn't a problem, but he went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. He was friendly every encounter I had and more than made up for the smell. The second room was perfect, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is really run down. The people who work here are nice but the whole place needs an overhaul. The key cards kept not working, the furniture is dingy and the whole place is just shabby. This is the first 2 star review I've left on google. I expected more from Marriott.

  • 3/5 Doug L. 1 year ago on Google
It was just okay. Beds were too soft and bedding dated. The concierge suite was not open at night but was for breakfast. Staff were friendly, but the interior was in need of upgrade. It was all just okay. The location was close to where we needed to go, MARC train station.

Very clean rooms, dated furnishings, would definitely stay again. TV is Analog only! Lobby is beautiful as is parking entrance. Camden Yards is one block away. Morning coffee from bar is a long painful experience. Could improve here.

I stayed for a conference. The rooms were clean but like other reviews have said, quite dated, furniture worn down and scratched, carpets well over a decade old, etc. The door handle to the room inexplicably required you to pull up rather than push down like a normal handle. Also little things like no floor length mirror or make up mirror, which made it hard to get ready in the morning. They had a basic gym but there were no cleaning supplies anywhere to spray and wipe down the equipment after you were done. The staff were friendly, which was appreciated.

The room we were first out in was awful. The A/C unit was really noisy so we couldn't sleep and both the queen bed mattresses were so saggy in the middle that even sleeping separately with one is us in each, we woke up very sore. BUT, the staff was super nice and helpful. When we complained they moved us to a different room and it was just fine, no complaints. The hotel was clean and, as I said, the staff was very nice. They have a good pizza place on site and a breakfast nook with good food, but expect a wait because it doesn't have a lot of seating.

The hospitality industry they went above and beyond.I just had my Mingo family reunion there. From the beginning dealing with Joy the sales manager next meeting with Mr Gary Vaughn who helped me and my committee with finalizing the menu. Then meeting with Mr Terrence,Mike and Erica made sure they would make the reunion effortless and comfortable as possible. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They made us feel like family. The Marriott has very good food and hospitable staff.l been to many events at hotels and never had an experience like this one

This hotel has a lot of rooms and two or three restaurants / bars in house which make it a really convenient place to stay, but the rooms seem to be dated and not up to the standards that I have seen in other Marriott's. On top of that the experience we had with the front desk staff was a super mixed bag, with some folks being extremely helpful and others being visibly irritated by us asking any questions at all. The location is absolutely perfect especially for coming to an Orioles game though.

  • 4/5 Faith S. 1 year ago on Google
We stayed here recently for an event at the conference center. The staff was awesome. The hotel needs some basic maintenance. (Rug edges taped down, etc). I booked an accessible room. The bathroom had a step in tub with about 6 different grab bars. While the grab bars were appreciated, a step in tub is not accessible. While a little disappointed, we did have a nice stay.

We stayed here for one night to go to an Orioles game. The location is amazing, since all you have to do is walk out the front door, take a right, and Camden Yards is right in front of you. The front desk staff was extremely friendly. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. We really could not ask for more. We will gladly stay here again next time we are in Baltimore!
