After
being
misdiagnosed
I
was
put
into
an
induced
coma
for
weeks.
After
a
period
of
time
my
family
was
told
to
prepare
my
funeral
arrangements
because
I
was
not
going
to
recover.
They
made
the
assumption
that
it
was
something
in
the
drugs
that
I
took.
Meanwhile,
I
had
taken
no
drugs.
Even
after
what
I
would
assume
they
tested
for
and
realized
this
you
would
think
they
would
stop
treating
me
for
that
and
figure
out
what
the
problem
was.
I
was
found
unresponsive
with
foam/blood
coming
from
my
mouth.
They
got
the
idea
of
taking
drugs
from
trying
to
question
me
while
completely
unconscious
sometimes
conscious
enough
to
make
noises
but
could
not
comprehend
what
was
going
on.
So
when
they
asked
me
if
I
took
anything
I
responded
that
I
took
Mydol,
for
a
headache.
After
they
heard
"mushrooms"
instead,
though
my
mother
understood
I
said
Mydol,
they
took
that
and
ran
with
it
and
treated
me
for
mushroom
poisoning
assuming
I
ate
the
wrong
type
of
mushrooms.
Meanwhile,
that
was
not
the
case
obviously
after
weeks
of
being
in
a
coma
they
told
my
family
that
there
was
no
hope
n
to
begin
making
final
arrangements
.
I
was
told
a
nurse
actually
went
back
over
all
of
my
information
and
was
the
one
that
figured
out
what
really
happened,
not
the
team
of
doctors
checking
in
on
me.
There
was
a
fatal
dose
of
ethanol
glycol
that
I
had
somehow
ingested.
At
this
point
police
were
involved
and
it
has
seemed
someone
put
that
in
my
drink
while
out
that
evening...
Once
they
began
treating
me
for
this
my
toxin
levels
dropped
immediately
and
within
days
tube
started
getting
pulled
out
of
every
orifice
and
I
was
able
to
become
aware
again.
Later
being
told
that
my
brain
and
my
body
had
been
severely
damaged
basically
my
body
in
general
as
well
as
my
brain
and
thought
process
we're
not
going
to
be
the
same
ever.
And
that's
I
would
be
in
a
walker
for
a
very
very
long
time.
I
am
still
a
little
slow,
but
I
was
able
to
give
my
Walker
to
an
elderly
man
who
needed
it
much
more
than
myself
after
just
a
few
days.
I
wasn't
tap
dancing
or
running
marathons
but
I
was
getting
around
fine.
So
here
I
am
over
10
years
later
still
alive
and
with
very
little
complications
as
opposed
to
the
death
sentence
I
apparently
was
given.
Now
please
bear
in
mind
I
was
in
a
coma
and
I
don't
remember
very
well
before
or
after..
I
can
only
reflect
on
what
I
was
told
by
friends
family
and
stuff
once
I
was
able
to
understand
and
retain
the
information...
One
thing
I
do
remember
is
that
once
I
was
coherent
and
I
can
feel
everything
that's
when
they
decided
to
give
me
a
kidney
biopsy
not
sure
why
they
waited
until
I
could
feel
every
inch
of
that
needle
going
into
my
back
and
into
my
kidney
to
do
so
maybe
that's
pretty
cool
but
I
would
have
preferred
being
and
that
blackout
stage
for
that
process
to
see
the
least
