Coral Wig is a nice bar to visit if you're able to come in on an off hour or before people crowd the space. Like WC Harlan, this bar is pretty tight inside and fills up fast. The dark ambiance is pretty unique to the city, with classy and simplified decor. If you can get a seat near the windows, you can lounge and enjoy the amber hues. Cocktails were tropically inspired, though nothing too familiar to what you get with traditional tiki cocktails. I'm unsure if I'd want to re-order most of the cocktails we tried. The Painkiller fell pretty short for me, so I'm still on the hunt for a bar closer than Archipelago in DC to scratch that itch. Service was also a bit chaotic, taking quite a long time to order + even to just pay out. Hopefully, this improves in the future. Anyways, the space is really unique + they're using good ingredients and ice. I hope they find tune their cocktail recipes + am early to visit on a weekday to experience the space without feeling like a canned sardine.

Fabulous in ambiance, service, and quality! The drinks were exceptional-- tiki bar? more like a Tiki BAR! The staff was working hard to meet high demand, but drinks were still flying off the counter and the lively atmosphere and quality made it well-worth the wait. It's a very small, intimate space with limited seating indoors and even less outdoors. Due to the crowd and small space, it was VERY loud. It's also quite dimly lit, so a little hard to read the menus or see your group. We held the menus under the table with our cellphone lights so we wouldn't disturb our neighbors too much.

AMAZING!!! Newest spot from Lane just dropped — don’t miss it! The banana hammock ROCKS (yes, the MSG margarita!) but everything else is great too! I loved the Mai Tai! The ambiance was great — very “tiki” without being corny. Can’t wait to go back!

We were in town visiting from NYC, looking for a cozy - speakeasy kind of vibe to chat and catch up with a good friend. After sifting through a few recommendations, we decided on Bloom’s and then here because they’re basically neighbors. The Coral Wig really took me by surprise and fit the description we were looking for, to the nines. Great, experimental cocktail menu with a playlist that accentuates the intimacy of the venue. I’m really glad we decided to stop by. The bartenders were helpful and knowledgeable about their spirits/menu as well and guided us through the flavor profiles accordingly. Definitely 10/10 would recommend 😍

Atmospheric but small. Speakeasy type mid century modern vibe tiki esque. Professional bartenders perform like magicians concocting drinks that are top notch. Adding this to my list on the pub crawl. Its perfect.

Amazing cocktails with exotic ingredients served by excellent bartenders, and a dark and sultry vibe. Try the Painkiller, one of the best cocktails I've had in Baltimore!

Such a cool tucked-away gem. Really leans into the speakeasy vibes. Decor and lighting were comfortable and intimate, and the music was soft jazz. Exactly the vibe we were looking for to celebrate and catch up with a small group.

I only expect the best when it comes to Lane Harlan's businesses, and The Coral Wig did not disappoint.
