I went here a bit over a month ago to receive emergency care because I was in so much pain. The way that I was treated by the staff was horrible. The doctor told me that being in pain wasn't an emergency, I had to cover up with my coat while in a hospital gown, because no one including the nurse, offered me a blanket, no blood work was done, but they did assume it was Covid related even though I tried to tell them it wasn't. My Covid test was negative just like I told them it would be. The made me feel as if my life was not important and the way the doctor had spoken to me, as if he had an attitude, I had to ask him if he was prejudice. I left there and went to Bayview where I was treated very well and received the care I needed because I did have an infection inside my body. I called the next day to file a complaint with Patient Advocacy but to this day, not a soul has called me with a follow-up.

Don't understand why university hospital would even attach there name to this place . No one understands anything , and where in the heck is the real nurses? A custodian came in the waiting room and started removing the chairs as of people the people had four legs to stand up on. Not to mention it's nasty inside the pre Op rooms. And getting ahold of your love ones by phone , don't think about .

I had psychiatric issues and ended up here after I requested Sheppard Pratt, the nursing staff (some) were lazy, but not rude,I had to request my room be cleaned when I arrived (it's a hospital),when my mom called the staff told her I was not there and she freaked out( another patient complained of the same). Upon discharge I was told I was tested for HIV and to call for results, only to be told the test was cancelled, therefore no results were available. The kitchen staff are definitely not the best. However I did receive great treatment from the doctor I was assigned.
