Clean, friendly/helpful and great work. This is the second one I got done here and never regret coming back to this spot. Tory did my tattoo today. I was in and out in an hour or so. Will continue to come back. Highly recommended.

Super cool guys. One let me borrow his charger while my friend got tatted. Pretty cool museum. Lots of pictures and tattoo guns on display. I'm only giving it a 4 because they are pretty expensive for my taste. But it may be due to the tourist rich location and the fact that it IS a museum. So yeah, and they do great work. My friend was very satisfied with her tat. Sorry I don't have a pic of the finished product, but that's her in the pic laying down. If your in Bmore, its a cool place to visit and say you got a tattoo from.

Adam is Clutch! I went along with my husband to get a pre-existing tattoo touched up. First and foremost Adam's interpersonal skills are top notch. I felt like I knew him forever and he was super funny. He took his time, redid the tattoo and made it look more beautiful than when it was originally done (By a different artist). It took about 3 hours yet it went by so fast. It was reasonably priced especially for the size of the tattoo. The shop is very clean and unique. I truly enjoyed my visit. We will return soon to complete an Armour piece Adam started before the pandemic.

Had a terrible experience. Would rate this place zero stars if Google allowed that. The staff was very unprofessional and rude. I wanted to get a tattoo on my hand, and the artist immediately said that he wouldn't do that for me specifically, because I don't have many tattoos (which was an incorrect assumption, for my tattoos are small and in hidden places). Moreover, rather than admitting that small/medium cursive fonts and line art are outside of his skill range, the artist was very dismissive and acted as if the requests were ridiculous and impossible. Instead, he wanted to make the tattoos extremely large and with no detail for the line art heart (without the details, the heart would literally just be a strange oval). He also insulted the tattoo design. The hypocritical part is, while he refused to do the tattoos for me and my sister, he did a tattoo for my friend that was with us, in an equally small, cursive font. It felt as though a lot of discrimination was taking place, based on race and gender. Would never recommend this place to anyone, as we went to another tattoo shop the next day and they were very kind and easily did our tattoo designs as requested. Baltimore is filled with tattoo shops, honestly go anywhere else but The Baltimore Tattoo Museum.

While my end product turned out well, the attitude of the tattoo artist during the process of choosing the design/placement for my tattoo was very judgmental and unwelcoming. Not only did he push his opinions on me as to where I should get my tattoo but he was clearly unable to admit when a skill (i.e., fine line tattooing) was out of his expertise. I highly suggest going elsewhere especially if you want someone more accommodating who will not rush you when making decisions. I only came here because all other places require appointments and I was getting a commemorative tattoo for my father who passed yesterday. While the receptionist was lovely, I won’t be returning for any further tattoos.

I am beyond pleased with my experience. Chris took the time to understand what I wanted and did a great job of covering up my old tattoo. He was professional, easy to communicate with, and had a great sense of humor. Highly recommend.

My SIL and I wanted to get tattoos before she returned to NC, so walk ins were our only choice We walked in with ideas and walked out with personalized tattoos just 2 hours later. Down to Earth, friendly people working the counter and the artists are very friendly too! Adam did a fantastic job, is very talented, and was easy to talk to throughout the process. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back!!

Piercing inquiries: stay away. Not sure I understand the business model where the body jewelry is all in the piercer’s room. If the piercer is tattooing, and is “expected to go until close” then nobody can look at body jewelry. Showing up at 6pm, two hours where piercing walk-ins actually are not welcome. I get that tattoo places don’t make their money on piercings/jewelry….but I don’t understand why places pretend to offer a service, poorly.

Old Bay tattoos were not given out. They stopped doing tattoos at 4pm and 100s of people were in line. An Old Bay representative came out and said everyone on the list will be able to get a free tattoo. Seconds later at 5 pm another representative from Old Bay came out and told us to go home. An employee from The Baltimore Tattoo Museum named Bill informed us that Old Bay needs to pay them more money to continue to 8pm. I waited in line for 5 hours after being assured that I would get a tattoo. The Baltimore Tattoo Museum should lose this contract next year.

My husband had an appointment with Hunter; however, after Hunter presented the drawing (which was a team logo with added detail) he was told that the image was a bad tattoo and that he did not want to do it because my husband wanted the image to remain true to the team logo. Hunter was aware of the drawing beforehand and could have raised any concerns then. But instead, he chose to decide not to do the tattoo at the last minute because it was not the way that he wanted to do it and said that he was not the right person to do the tattoo. VERY unprofessional. Tattoos are permanent and the customer should be able to decide if they want to wear it for the rest of their life. If there is a concern regarding imagery then there are ways to discuss that or to simply say you do not feel comfortable doing the work ahead of time before handling it in that manner.

Ian was super nice and very patient as we came up the proper placement for my wrist tattoo. I appreciate my experience and I am pleased with my newest tatt!! The front counter staff and other tattoo artists were kind and helpful!

I got a pretty simple vine tattoo around my wrist and although a little pricey in my opinion, the amazing atmosphere and work of the artist made it 100% worth it. He took his time and made sure I was comfortable with every part of the tattoo. I’ve been to many different artist but Mr.Keaton has got to be one of my favs. The ladies up front were great too, very patient & helpful.

I love their professionalism. No back alley stick-n-go's here buddy!!! Make sure you bring Valid Photo ID for folk 18 and up and for folk 16 and up, you must have both a Valid Photo ID and Birth Certificate..NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Now while I have Not gotten tatted here, I did however get my nose pierced in 2020 with no issue. Fast forward...my now 16 year old and 24 year old wanted piercings, while I needed a new NR since mine was lost several months ago. They of course wanted to do Claire's and I'm like, "Not on my watch!" 🤣 We heads down to TBTM and my dude Ian hooked all 3 of us up! He did a phenomenal job, as he was extremely gentle and patient throughout our entire visit. I would definitely recommend TBTM...as their historical tattoo art is really interesting to look at while you wait to be serviced.

Made an appointment with Jackie. Can't say enough good things about her professionalism and quality work. My wife like the end result so much, she already wants me to go get more work done. Don't forget to ask for Jackie; you'll love her work.

Came in today and Tory Destromp did my 2 tattoo's. He gave me great, honest advice on my ideas and did a perfect job on both of them. So happy I got him as my tattoo artist. I would recommend him for all your tattoo's. Really Happy..

Highly over priced for mediocre(at most) ink. Customer service was great. Lady at the front and my artist were friendly and cool. Extremely overpriced, I only agreed to the price because I was on a mini vacation. But it’s been about a week and my tattoo is uneven and already faded. The line work is great but that’s where it stops. I enjoyed my experience there but going home and actually looking at my new tat, I am not satisfied.

The guy who did my tattoo colored part of it incorrectly (wrong color in the wrong place just in one section, like he wasn’t paying attention or something) and a little unevenly. One of the black outlines blew out. He seemed kind of irritable the whole time. I will go elsewhere to get parts of it fixed up because it needs it and i dont feel comfortable returning to the same artist (i think the errors were due to him being in a bad mood/not focused, not lack of technical talent on his part). Not a no-stars as the tattoo overall does look good especially if you dont look too closely... but kind of disappointing for the price.

Jacqueline was amazing. Did my first LARGE tattoo and she took her time, very friendly which made me feel good. The work she did on my arm was absolutely amazing. I will definitely come back for my next tattoo. Thanks to everyone who works there, very nice.

my experience at this place was not the best . the customer service was terrible the tattoo artist, tyler was trying to change my mind about the tattoo i wanted in the color red and said he refuse to put red on anyone because it fades too quick and was ugly . but it’s not his place or decision to say or do that. i continue to get the tattoo just because i was already there . i was suppose to get three butterflies for 300 and he only did one because he didn’t want to continue because i moved a little bit and it was hurt. he only did one butterfly and charged half the price 150. they overcharge tattoos and have terrible service. he was extremely rude and judgmental do not waste your money here !
