The Jerk Garden At Terra Café Looking For Support After Local Ordinances Threatens To Shut Down Outdoor Entertainment. Clarence III Ward & Terra Cafe needs community support! I drive to Baltimore on Monday evenings and have attended and performed at many of these sessions inside and outside. It's probably the best Jam Session on the East Coast. There's none other like it. A large wide open space that friends and musicians gather every Monday evening to listen and play America's Art Form. Nothing but love.. Everyone wears a mask outside and I felt very safe. The music is not loud or over bearing. The sound of the music is beautiful. The city should be thankful. There's no crime or violence. I commend the owner Terance Dickson for presenting good music and standing up for the community.

Terra Cafe is an individually owned and designed cafe. It's not a chain. We went there because the owner sponsors her grandson's basketball team. The place has nice African-American motif art works,, and good, fresh food. I had a chicken cheese wrap with salad. It was quite good, although there was a piece of chicken bone in the chicken. My wrap and my wife's sandwich were so big that we couldn't finish them. We had the second half of our lunch for dinner. My wife had a smoked turkey sandwich. She enjoyed it. There isn't a parking lot. We found metered street parking very near the entrance.

Let’s start with the positives! Good location, great space. They have a lot of heart and soul. Rustic, woody, eclectic and unique describe the vibe you’ll get. I loved the art, each piece was unique. The artist was also there as we were there, doing a live painting. Our waitress was nice and the food was very affordable. For most people, it would be a great option to come and dine at or attend an event. Now, when it comes to the food and the menu, I was disappointed. The food was just cooked, nothing more or less. No seasoning, and nothing spectacular. I ordered the chicken box and the chicken was dry. The side salad was a few pieces of lettuce on a plate. The French fries had nothing on them, not even salt. The menu seems a little over the place. I get that they serve American food, but I wish they focused in on something particular like sandwiches or just chicken and perfect that. I think the menu could be streamlined and refined and would make for better food and a better experience. I love supporting black owned businesses and maybe it was an off day, so I would still recommend you try them out. They are a black owned business!

Our group was given the best brunch service. Even though our party was late, we were served immediately upon our arrival and treated like kings and queens. We were served eggs, fish, chicken, sausage and grits. I especially enjoyed the adult beverages 😉. We were seated comfortably in the outdoor space but there was an indoor area as well. The entire place was immaculately clean and comfy. Big thanks to the Terra Cafe crew!

Ordered the fish platter and paid $18. Only to get home and see there was only 1 piece of fish in the container. That's very pricey for 1 piece of fish and 2 small sides. I was also very turned off by the cashier. She was very nasty, had an attitude and started arguing with the cook in front of customers. When another guy said something to her about it she said she didn't care and was ready to go home.

Terra Café. Nice restaurant for real food. -In Baltimore, this is my go-to spot for fried fish. This visit for carry-out occurred during the pandemic. No seating in-doors. I hope that the pictures show the ambiance of the place during this time. Kinda peaceful huh! Looking forward to sitting and eating indoors soon. Until then, I carry-on with carry-out!

I grabbed a quick lunch just a side salad it was good and service was quick and my server was friendly. Nice music was playing and the walls were covered in dope art. I briefly talked to the owner and a local artist. Great Vibes I'll be back !

A true gem for the city to shine. Excellent healthy menu options and great live music. This place is run by someone who cares about what the city needs and has a staff that is willing to raise the expectations of quality service in Baltimore.

I loved Terra’s Cafe when I lived in Baltimore so I got some carry out while I was visiting the other day and it is not the same, usually everything is great but not this day. I spent almost $40 on this. I’m super disappointed.

Good healthy eats. Had a portobello mushroom wrap. Very good!!! And good jazz on a Monday!!! Wait for the food was way yyyy too long. Waitress was very polite albeit very overwhelmed. Will come back again though.

I visited here while on a break from apartment shopping four years ago and I had yet to leave a review. The first thing that amazed me at that time was the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant. It was very lively and just full of life. I ordered chicken wings and fries alongside barbecue sauce. The wings and fries were absolutely delicious. The wings were fried to perfection! I really enjoyed the experience. The owner was there on that visit and he was funny. I encourage everyone to visit and support this place. It is a true gem!

They were having a brunch so it was a special menu. They made an exception and fixed me some honey Old Bay wings which were delicious and fried perfectly.

This was my first time visiting based on a recommendation. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was casual and artsy. The food didn’t take long to be ready. I ordered the fish platter with mac and cheese and green beans for the sides. My daughter got french fries with her platter. The fried swai was good, but we didn’t like the sides. I was expecting homemade mac and cheese, but it was nothing special tasting like baked Kraft mac and cheese. The green beans weren’t flavorful and the fries had no salt. I may give them another try and order something else next time because I liked the vibes of the location.

I had my birthday celebration here this year. We did a paint and sip party inside the restaurant. The patio was just as beautiful as inside, so we could have held it outside instead of inside. We enjoyed the space inside. Great food, great music and great atmosphere made for a perfect night!

What a gem! My family and I were visiting Baltimore this past Saturday and came across this restaurant. We arrived right at opening and were politely greeted. The ambiance in the dining took was very nice with exposed brick and beautiful artwork. Our server Tiffany was very kind and warm. The food was delicious! We tried the fish sub, sweet potato fries, cole slaw, turkey burger and chicken. Everything was delicious and home made. We would definitely come back again. Highly recommend.

I had an amazing time at Terra Cafe. The paintings, music and atmosphere was such a vibe! The food was fresh, exquisite, seasoned and felt very home cooked. The manager came out to speak with our group about the amazing things he is doing in the community and the culture behind the restaurant. I loved the free punch that was made. Wonderful experience, I can't wait to come back and also spread the word about Terra Cafe to friends and family.

I ate here for the first time today for an event which was held on the patio, which was very nice. It felt like eating at a conservatory with a greenhouse like glass roof and the plants. Food was buffet style for our event, so we got chicken and waffles, fried fish, a hash, a salad, and watermelon. Everything was very fresh and tasty. My favorite was the fish and I would eat that anytime. The owner was also there and said a few words. Seemed like a very pleasant and caring guy. The staff that waited on us were all very nice as well.

I have been eating, playing music, learning business, cultivating a tribe here for almost 20 years. I can't say enough good about it. Best fish sandwich I have EVER had. Family. The new outdoor space, built during the pandemic, is perfect for catering and events, markets, meetings, or a workday in the sun.

This place has fallen off big time!! 7 wings and a 15 dollar side salad (sold as a regular size salad) took over 30 mins. I'm from Baltimore and I've tasted many half and half drinks, so when I tell you this was the absolute worst half and half I've ever tasted. I sent the drink and tiny salad back for refund and although management was very accommodating and polite, I have to make this review because otherwise there will be no improvement. This place used to be very nice with good food and good vibes now it's uninviting and was freezing inside. Please bring in new management.

Stopped in for an evening drink and the vibe was amazing! The Owner was on premises and so cordial! Beautiful artwork on display and families are always welcome. I didn’t order food so i can’t comment but the Old Fashion was perfect.

This place was not open! I placed an order on Wednesday and went to pick up and this location was closed. I have been calling and calling and no answer. I also reached out through their social media and no response. I just want my money back, it is irresponsible for the owner or management to have their website active where orders can be placed. There are no signs that states the restaurant is closed. I finally was able to speak to someone and decided to call based off the latest review of someone saying this place was open. And guess what they are claiming to not be able to locate my order. Currently waiting for a manager to call me back, I wont hold my breath, especially now that I see this is a pattern based off of the reviews.

Terra Cafe is a diamond in the rough. It is an urban oasis with a soulful atmosphere highlighted by soulful healthy cuisine. Besides providing great food, drinks and entertainment it is a much needed community hub. It is unfortunate antiquated and biased regulations impede the owner's ability to offer even more to the community.

Food was good. Staff was professional. Was a little cramped inside but had an awesome courtyard with a fire pit. Will definitely be nice in the warmer months.

I just visited this spot on 03/07/23 and let me just tell you that this spot is a whole vibe! It's open mic and karaoke every Tuesday. Usually, I would sing, but I will the next time as I had to get a feel for the place first. The drinks were on point as I am very critical because I am currently a bartender. I tried some of my cousin's vegetable dish, which was pretty good. The others that were there with me said that their food was pretty good also. Overall, I really enjoyed myself and the others did as well. I will def be back sooner rather than later!

Good service. The fries and candies yams were good. However, the chicken sandwich was greasy, and the chicken itself was hard to chew.

Customer service was excellent (9 out of 10). This is one of the best atmospheres inside...very clean environment lots of good artwork. The sweet tea was good (7 out of 10)...the jerk chicken was the worst jerk chicken I ever had in my life (2 out of 10). Luckily I had some jerk sauce at home I had to cook the jerk chicken again with the jerk sauce I purchased in Jamaica. The Mac and cheese was good it was a 6.5 out of 10. The greens were unseasoned I had to season them myself at home (4 out of 10). The service was fast..food was ready in little time so that's a plus. Figured I'd try this place out since it's close to my girlfriend's house.

I hadn't been here in a while. But, the food was good and inexpensive. I loved the atmosphere. I think they've remolded since my last visited. Will definitely be back.
