The brunch place to go this side of town — coffee was piping hot, the eggs runny, toast buttered, grits yummy, sausage spiced, and — the best part — the home fries. What customers should know is the service is what makes this themed diner the place to go: the server is joyful and anticipated our needs (with refills, asking if the milkshake was for here or to go, asking about condiments for the grits and the home fries). I watched the chef as she prepared easily five orders at once, hardly making anyone wait at all. A tight crew made our brunch quite enjoyable. There were several food options for vegetarians (omelettes, eggs with toast, home fries, grits, salads). People with Celiac disease should be wary, since the food isn’t gluten free due to the cross contamination on the grill. People with gluten intolerance however might be fine since there are dishes that don’t contain gluten (non-gluten containing or free of gluten). Worth a trip if you’re able.

Friendly, great service! Breakfast served all day. I had the Bopper Burger; it was hand pattied, the bun toasted and it was delicious!! My children had pancakes with chocolate chips, and cleaned their plates. The music and decor is 100% the 50's. This is going to be on our list to take out of town friends.

Food : Food was the best part of this diner, which it is supposed to be. You can taste flavors in the omelet. I ordered a meat lovers omelet. It was fresh. All three different meat used in omelet were fresh. After biting, you can tell it wasn't cooked in the morning and then redone for you. It is done for you fresh. Potato fries were great too, flavorful. Coffee was fresh, too. Coffee tends to be on the stronger side if I am not wrong, is dark roast. Service : We had a great service from beginning to end. Upon entering the diner, we were welcomed by Jennifer. While Jennifer was finding a proper spot for us. One of the employees asked us again if we were taken care of. Jennifer found us a clean spot and was mindful of what we wanted. All in all, the service was great. Atmosphere: As the name suggests, "Lost in the 50s Diner. It takes you back in time. They play old hits in the background. Which complements the decor and place. If you're like us who moved from New York or New Jersey and is looking for diner. This place will not disappoint you. We looked into different diners around. But the other diner doesn't know the difference between diner and fine dining. Other diners are overpriced and under deliver. While this one is light on your wallet but still gets you flavors and feel of diner.

Great little place. Good food, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. Feels very much like a family run, neighborhood diner. I’m very happy I live around the corner from it 🙂

Lovely lovely diner. I was a frequent customer YEARS before the new ownership. I love it even more now.🥰 The food is so good! Mom typically is on the grill and her daughters (family) along with other waitstaff who are ALL wonderful are very welcoming. I can tell there are regulars who frequent. They are always greeted warmly, and some by name...so cool. 💕This diner has good vibes. Makes you feel warm. They even got me to try a tuna melt for the first time. Now its my fave.😁 The prices are appropriate and appreciated especially when EVERYTHING is outrageously overpriced nowadays. I go on my days off when I can, sit at the window and enjoy my day off.❤I will become frequent as well.

Solid place for some breakfast. Really clean on the inside and the service was fantastic. Had the breakfast platter with 2 eggs over medium and some ham. Very tasty and it came out really fast. The coffee was good too. Great place for a simple breakfast. I really liked the home fries.

So so amazing! They have the old school jukeboxes, where you feed it with coins and they don’t work anymore (which definitely made me feel old,) 😬 but they still turn pages by the levers at the top and we got that whole experience, aside from the actual song coming in 😞 takes you back to them old good, simple Days! My 4 yr old daughter was enthused and amazed by it all.oh and who doesn’t love 5 Star customer service?? nicest people that greet you hard workers and lots of Madonna pictures

The atmosphere was great, however, I waited 30 minutes to an hour for an egg and ham sandwich. On top of that the server didn’t tell me that it would be so small and I asked for mayonnaise, there was so little I couldn’t taste it. I would have ordered it to be made a double if she had told me. The server didn’t even introduce herself with her name. My boyfriend ordered a coffee and he never got it. They also served those sitting behind us in a both and at the counter before us.

I love the decor of this place. It's nice, small and quaint. Nobody acknowledged us when we walked in though. I had to ask someone if we could seat ourselves after standing there for a few minutes. It's self seating btw. Once seated our server was very friendly. Food was tasty and the prices were good. I should've asked for well done bacon. I will be back!!

Lost in the 50s is quickly becoming my favorite neighborhood restaurant. I've had their biscuits & gravy as well as their chipped beef and both are incredible. I always get a side of scrapple. The chicken & waffles is also bonkers delicious and i'd absolutely recommend their burgers. You can also count on the great service.

The food was good, the atmosphere was very welcoming and nostalgic and the restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. My ONLY problem was that the juke box on the table was out of order and took our money. Staff should put clear tape over the coin slots so customers don't lose money while still protecting the "look"' of nostalgia.

This is a great little place to grab a quick bite. Breakfast all day! We've been eating there for years, and it's always a pleasant small local diner experience. Family-friendly, and we have been taking our 17-year-old daughter there since she began to walk. Excellent prices and menu selections. Booth and counter self-seating. Pay to park on Harford or park for free on a side street and enjoy a nice walk to the restaurant.

The food here is always good. The cook makes pancakes that are better than IHOP's. She's got skills. I usually don't eat pancakes a lot. But, these are just right! The waitresses are friendly, and the atmosphere is laid back. Prices are reasonable. I've been back several times.

The food was delicious. Despite how busy it was during the time that my fiance and I came to eat in, our server was still extremely attentive, even though it was obvious she has a hundred other tasks. The place is small but still, I believe that also fits with the 50's theme. We got everything we were expecting to get and more. The scenery in the diner was amazing, we are in our early 20's and we still felt like we were taken back into the 50's The portions of their food are also pretty generous, both of us could not finish our meal in entirety due to how much there was. We paid a little over 32$ for a meal that would be most likely been 45$ anywhere else. We will definitely be back, along with more people as well.

Great service, food needed some salt (normal quality for a diner) but came out quickly. Prices are unbeatable. Atmosphere was nice, restaurant and bathrooms were clean.

I absolutely love this place!!! My mom and I come here frequently for breakfast and/or lunch. Great atmosphere friendly staff weight is very minimal considering how busy they are. I usually never have a problem finding a seat here and even if you have to wait for seating, it usually does not take that long. There is paid parking out front and around the corner. There is a free parking lot Across the street from harvest fair. I have never gotten a dish that I didn’t like. It’s just like getting a home-cooked meal. I love the staff they are so friendly and make you feel at home. I don’t know if the cook is the owner but she has been there for several years. She’ll have some of the staff members which is nice to see that there is an a lot of turnover. I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is amazing it’s like stepping into the past. I truly matches its name!!! this is a must try. They are located in the Hamilton neighborhood.
