Saw this place on Diner's Drive Inn's and Dives. It is every bit as good as Guy said it was. If you are in Baltimore, you must stop by! Be sure to go to the original location and wear your stretchy pants. (If you are a horseradish fan, you have found your place!) Best sandwiches ever!!!

Wow, this some seriously delicious food! I got the original beef sandwich, and my friend got the “raven” sandwich. Both were so flavorful! The Raven was just packed with meat! The potato salad was the winner for sides. I liked the beans, but the PayPal salad was way better. They were quite busy, but our food came out relatively quick. Over, this place is worth the hype!

Pretty Unique place. Honestly, I felt overwhelmed when we went in, trying to look over the menu on the wall in line and then people starting to line up behind me. I ended up stepping out of line and asking for a menu I could look over. They have a large selection of items to choose from. Nothing fancy, to this place. Pretty open with a few tables and counters you can eat at. Soda machines, where you get your own fountain drink. When we got our food, I was very disappointed by it. It had no seasoning and was just bland. I made a comment to a friend who brought us here about it. He explained that they don't season the meat, for you to season it yourself with some of the many sauces they have. After hearing this, it made a bit more sense to me. They have a number of BBQ sauces to choose from, so you can try a number of different kinds. The meat is well cooked, though they do that right. They have hugh wings! They were very good. You can also get some desserts there as well. Overall, very good food around. Nothing fancy about the place, but you get a belly full of good stuff.

The original location is still the best. The lines aren't quite as long as they used to be but there is still usually a line. Make sure to keep that door shut! Beef is the star but all the meats are awesome over the pit. Wee Bey copped to the extra bodies for an extra pit beef sandwich so you know it's on point. Extra points for having a Hodad's sticker at the ordering window.

I finally made it Chaps Pit Beef! Great service, friendly staff, and the food is great! The meat is delicious, and there are plenty of toppings and drinks! Locals add to the flavor and the prices are reasonable! Kid menu and options are available! I strongly recommend the fries as an add on! There is plenty of parking and seating, both indoors and out!

The trip was well worth it. We were in town for an event and a friend took us here for lunch. The food was great and the portion sizes were huge. I got the pit beef sandwich and the wings. Both were excellent. Everything thing was fresh and tasted great ! There was no wait for food and it came out quick. If you are in the area and looking for good food you need to go here!!!

I've been coming to Chaps for years, and it's safe to say that pit beef doesn't get much better than this. The pit beef sandwich grew up on Route 40, so it only makes sense that one of the first pit beef vendors in Baltimore originated in the same industrial corridor. The sandwich I had this go-around was served at medium temperature with a soft Kaiser roll. The meat was very flavorful without a piece of fat to be found. Make sure to get an order of French Fries, as these are some of the best around. The condiment bar is also self-serve, so you don't have to worry about going back to the counter to harass the staff for more mayo or onions. I also found everyone on staff to be friendly and courteous. Really impressed with the quality of Chaps and as always, I will be back.

The burger was so good I ate it before I thought to take a picture of it... I'll be back and will update this review with more pictures. Chaps is a real deal, good food hole in the wall kinda place and I love it! I'm back and here are the pics that I promised. The burger was as good as ever... include the fries and I'm as full as tick and ready to pop! :-) I'm going to be a regular at Chaps!

So to be fair, this isn't BBQ. It's "Pit Beef". BBQ is low and slow. Pit Beef is basically grilling meat. Hence why the meat isn't fall off the bone. But nonetheless tasty. ⚠️ The regular sized Mac and cheese is an excuse to go buy $9 worth of lottery tickets. It's so basic as to bring into question if it originated from a blue and yellow box. Otherwise, excellent selection of sauces. Great charing on the ribs and the chicken. For Baltimore this is 5 star "BBQ". For a native Texan this is really good grilled meats, bathed in tasty sauces.

First time trying Chaps today’s and wow did it impress! The staff was amazing and the food exceeded expectations! Prices are legit as well. It was so good we had to get bulk meat to go! Def will go back for more! The pit beef and sausage… my god! 🤤

The real deal! BBQ pit so good that there’s a line out the door at 1045am. Location is just off 95 making it a convenient stop for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. Chaps had been featured on many food network programs like Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Don’t forget the sauce!! They have an assortment of delicious sauces that compliment the BBQ. I decided to get “The Raven” specialty sandwich which consisted of Roast Beef, Corned Beef and Turkey! If you are ever driving by Baltimore- this is a must stop and enjoy.

Worth going for the full on experience. This was the second business I visited while testing out the regional “pit beef” sandwich. Everyone was working hard and overall friendly/helpful. I recommend doing research and have your order ready before you get to the window. This isn’t the type place to chitchat (ask for recommendations) with the person taking orders, customers are trying to get in and out. Sandwich was tasty, and the tiger sauce was the right choice for condiment. I wouldn’t say it’s the best in town, but definitely worth trying.

The food was satisfactory but nothing to write home about. We tried everything, the best was the pit beef sandwich. The best side was fries. I like the new building but I did also like the old Hole-in-the-wall building too.

Happily, gratefully, and willingly I Indulged in some meaty, chunky, juicy, and wickedly amazing ribs from Chaps Pit Beef paired w/blue cheese and horseradish sauce As the pickiest rib eater - EVER, unless made by me, this 1st time visit allowed me to sign off on my search for the best ribs in Maryland! (My favorite meal to celebrate my favorite person in honor of my birthday week.) I also ordered a Rachel sandwich and a large order of fries. Chaps Pit Beef is a business powerhouse and a meat lover’s giant thumbtack on a foodies go-to map. Staff and service was friendly and helpful To my understanding, soon the original facility will relocate into the building next door Oh, and I slept like a baby that night 😊

Food was excellent, I had the beef sandwich. The beef was moist. There wasn’t much of a crowd so that was a delight. Location is small but has a good amount of indoor seating. Would definitely recommend eating here!!!!

An absolute honor to be able to try this place! I literally have no words. Just trying to think about it is making me want another Beef Sandwich and I'm not even hungry. Please go, you wont regret it.
