Don't miss the 10 minute video at the visitor center. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore in the fort. Very cool to be able to participate in the flag raising and lowering.

Very interesting monument. I wish the actual American flag the flew was there but it's in a Smithsonian in DC. We did the audio self guided tour. We only had an hour to spend befor our flight but it was well worth it.

The fort is well maintained and had lots of history to take in. It also has a great view of the water. Make sure to start out by watching the video at the entrance building.

The Fort McHenry visitors center is a great first stop before going to see the fort. They have a short video that describes the battle for Baltimore that ends with the screen rising up to give you a view of the 15 stars and stripes banner flying in the yard of the fort. There is anyway a lot to read regarding the history of the fort and the war of 1812. The gift shop is small but has a good variety of things to purchase.

One of the best visitors centers in the National Park system. Very well done both inside the center and outside on the grounds. Everyone should especially watch the movie for the unbelievable ending experience!

The staffs were nice. There is an exhibit and a short film that plays every 30 minutes. The restroom could have been cleaned better.

Very helpful staff and be sure to view the short 10-minute orientation film (shown every half hour) then stroll all of the fort, and all of the grounds. The garrison flag is AWESOME, and noted the ranger in the fort says you may arrange to have your own flag raised there for a minute

Not all of the images are from today, 2 are from last August when I came.

Mr McFarland's flag presentation was heartfelt. The video about the battle was excellent. Veterans get in free along with three guests.
