Popped in here for lunch after visiting Deddington Market. Friendly atmosphere, food was very nice and great value, beer is kept well, what more could you ask for. We'll definitely be back next time we go to the market.

Loved it! Friendly atmosphere, lovely couple running the pub and they were most understanding as we were about 30 minutes late... Felt like I was round at a friend's house having Sunday lunch...

Good selection of beers, a small but tasty and fantastically priced menu. Friendly locals and the bar and kitchen staff couldn't do enough for you. What's not to like 😁

What an amazing pub. Range of real ales, good food in generous portions and so realistically priced. A gem!

Went for lunch as staying in Banbury. Nice pub. If I lived there it'd be my local. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and no nonsense freshly cooked pub grub served nicely with decent portions. Good beer too.

Delightful pub on the village green, in attractive area. Very accommodating landlord who seated us, including 4 very active children, to one side of the bar area. Delicious food at surprisingly good prices. We'll be back!

Fabulous and friendly pub, with great, old fashioned pub food. Unbelievably cheap compared to other pubs, and such a lovely warm welcome. Traditional, no frills, old fashioned pub that I couldn't recommend more highly.

My husband had been before and wanted to take me. It had a great atmosphere and looked out on the village green area. We had the pie and chips which was delicious and came with gravy...I'd forgotten how much I love chips and gravy. The landlord was very helpful and the 6X beer was fabulous and well kept. Amazing to see a pub so busy on a Tuesday lunchtime. Where else can you get a pie and chips for less than the price of a pint.

Went in for a drink and meal. Landlord was lovely, sad to hear he's leaving. 😢 The food and drinks were really cheap. The food was OK, for the price was what expected but filled us up and warmed us up on a cold weekday. 🥶

Only stopped for a cider on the bike at this beautiful old pub and enjoyed every minute, the landlord was a lovely man as well so all good.

Traditional and very local - like stepping back in time 30 years not bad but definitely peculiar. Half an ale at ordinary price, tasted fine though the place itself smells a bit deathly. Midweek atmosphere as expected. If booked for Sunday lunch probably a gem for ordinary English provincial fayre.

Been here several times, it's an old fashioned pub with a jovial landlord, always busy and I'm sure that is down to the food prices, if you want Sunday lunch you have to book well in advance, that must something in its self.

Popped in today for lunch after calling prior to visits to see if they had a table, was told didn’t need to book but come in. We were there within 10 minutes. When we arrived we were completely ignored by staff and a guy in white tee shirt who saw us who I believe was the landlord as he was chatting to people who were seated didn’t acknowledge us at all! even when he walked to the bar to grab something from behind it he just looked coldly at us and still no acknowledgment The person behind the bar who could not of missed us carried on with looking through raffle tickets no acknowledgment at all. The pub was not busy just only 3 tables had people seated and eating. Clearly they do not want the custom. We were made to feel we were not welcome at all, a scene from league of gentlemen came to mind. So we went to the plough and pickle where we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome by lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Never will I go to the coach and horses as they clearly didn’t want or need our custom

I can recommend this place without hesitation. Excellent value meals for a start with a nice Sunday roast for £5, or even a decent sized all day breakfast in the week for £4. Excellent menu t choose from. Tony the Landlord is an excellent host and a really nice lively atmosphere flls the place. We are staying near by at a campsite, so for us having this on our doorstep is ideal. Nice seating area outside looking over Adderbury green. Would recommend all day long.

A proper pub, not a gastro pub or a fine dining establishment. Wadsworth's beer on tap, the 6X was excellent. We had a meal, I had a gammon steak with chips and peas, see photo, which was home cooked and I was unable to fault. The atmosphere in the bar was good. A good find by my partner. We will be returning.
