Can’t recommend this place enough! From the moment I made the reservation to the moment we left we felt like family. The Hicks family knows how to make the Dude Ranch experience memorable. Our family loved all the outdoor activities & the home cooked meals were delicious. You can tell they value customer service & go the extra mile to make sure guests have a great experience. We can’t wait to go back!

Really good experience. Riding horses was extremely fun and the horses are very friendly. If you want to do activities bring your own equipment. Food from breakfast to dinner is really good. If you see the donkeys pet them they are very friendly. They are very educational about the horses . Which is very interesting. I recommend coming here.

My partner and I had the best time here if it wasn’t booked out we would have stayed longer. All of the staff, from the office to the bar to the wranglers are all absolutely lovely, southern hospitality is alive and well at Mayan. The food is phenomenal and there is plenty of it and the wranglers really know the horses and look after them well we loved being able to groom the horses and learn how to saddle them. It was like spending a weekend at a relatives house. So warm, welcoming and friendly. We ended up spending a few nights at another ranch which I won’t name but let’s just say I really wish the Mayan hadn’t been booked out.

We have been here twice- each time was amazing. Kelly at the front desk is so helpful and funny- and Wade (he takes care of the horses) is nice to ride with. The horse rides are so beautiful and i love the horse rusty and sheriff. We came during christmas- it gets very cold in the morning.- so pack heavy clothes. Will definitely come again. So underrated. -abbie

What a wonderful experience. The staff is what puts my experience over the top. Friendly, accommodating, extremely hospitable. They went out of their way to treat us like family. The peacocks were super cool, too.
