It's a big public place where local people can bring all the family together. Before pandemic the place was used to have big crowds for relax and chill out after long strolling over the city. The location is on the center of Bandung city. Near to some tourist attraction like Asia Africa Monument, Braga Street, Savoy Homan Hotel and many more. The Alun-alun itself integrated with Masjid Agung Bandung, so muslim people also able to have daily prayer whilst on visit. On the back of Alun-alun there is halte for Bandung Tourist on the Bus or Bandros. Tourist can have a 45 minutes trip around the centre of Bandung city with a tour guide explains some history of Bandung city. The trip cost 20K/ person. I think it's one of easy way to catch some glimpse of Bandung city. There are toilets, basement canteen and basement parking available there. Evening around 15.30 to 17.00 is the best time to chill and relax in alun-alun Bandung. No need to worry for food and drink jajan cemilan around 😊

This place is poorly managed! Street vendors are everywhere and always asking the people whether they want to buy or not. The parking lot so creepy on the basement, so muddy and shabby. The great mosque also badly maintained. A lot of people are eating, chating, and causing trash everywhere! The photos that shown to the people are pretty, but this place exactly bad and not recommend to hang around here.

Alun-alun Bandung, also known as Bandung City Square, is a historic public space located in the heart of Bandung, Indonesia. It holds cultural, historical, and social significance for the city. Originally designed during the Dutch colonial era, the alun-alun was a central gathering place for various community activities. Over the years, Alun-alun Bandung has undergone several transformations and renovations, reflecting the changing urban landscape of the city. It has served as a venue for political rallies, cultural events, and recreational activities. The alun-alun often features a pair of banyan trees, which hold spiritual significance in Javanese culture. Alun-alun Bandung remains a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering a glimpse into the city's rich history and cultural heritage. It's a place where past and present converge, making it a symbol of Bandung's identity and vitality.

The best things here are sorrounding by historical buildings such as Post Office, Asia Africa Building, Savoy Homan Hotel and more, near Asia Afrika street and Braga street. Visited by many people especially at weekend, too crawded for walk and taking a pictures. Bad things here are public toillet at Alun-alun so dirty and too much "pengamen" (street performance/street singers/singing beggar/buskers).

It's a must visit place for tourists. An Icon for Bandung city, where there are some good spots like, the Great Mosque of Bandung, some coffee shops, traditional restaurants, apparel shops, and the Alun-Alun itself. However just be prepared for a dirty parking lot and paid toilet even in the mosque (the government should care more for this matter to make the visitor/tourists feel comfortable)

Historical square that has lost its significance and authenticity after the expansion of the mosque. Poor maintenance, poorly designed

Actually, this is not really tourism spot in Bandung but as it is designed in such away that it attracts people to come here just to relax, play around or even hang out on green sinthetic grass. You'd better avoid coming here on a peak season or holiday if u dont like crowd. All in all, you can just drop by here anyway when u come to Bandung . It is much more interesting destination now in Bandung πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘

This place is really beautiful at night. Good for taking foreigner, sit, and take photos there. Near the shopping malls and really easy to be accessed by many kinds of public and private transportations. People can also visit the tower and see Bandung's view from the top. But, many street vendors offer things to sell, such as foods and drinks. And there are trashes from the irresponsible visitors, especially locals. Hopefully, the visitors could keep this place clean and safe, moreover on the weekend when this place is quite crowded. The mosque's front yard can be visited only from 8 am to 5 pm.

Favourite place for teenager in Bandung, the centre of Bandung City. They are closed to Asia Africa, where many make-up actresses dress up as horror, anime, or hero character.

A great public open place to gather and relax with family and friends. Almost every afternoon until night is always crowded with visitors, because it is located in the center of Bandung. If you want to know how busy the city of Bandung is, you can immediately stop by here. The place is also close to famous locations in the city of Bandung, and there are many public transportation facilities services. So if you want to travel around the city of Bandung, maybe this place is suitable to be the starting point.

A good open public space in downtown Bandung. Hygiene and cleanliness is ok but should be improved as there are trash lying around, mostly due to lack of awareness from general public.

I think since the synthetic court has been closed temporary the outside of the mosque will be a shelter for the people. So the cleanliness not well maintained make us not so confortable to entrance into the mosque

A crowded open-space in the middle of the city. I like this place as it offers people to take a break in this spacious place. It is a good place to relax and enjoying the view of the grand mosque as time passes by. Kids might love this place as they can running around freely here. Even though this is an open public space, but you have to take off your shoes. Somehow, it just feels like walking around at home and make the floor not dirty. It's a crowded place, but I like the atmosphere here.

the charm of this place is that you'll be presented with old and historical buildings....I really like it. Aside from the square, it's near the KAA monument to which you can take pictures with. And also, there's Bandung Tour on Bus as an alternative to go around the downtown. I guess it's a free facility. And there are many cosplayers (?) of famous characters like Hulk, Bumble Bee, Panda, Masya and the Bear and so on. You can take a picture with them.
