My husband and I had an exceptional date night dinner at Eden. We both enjoyed the chef’s recommendation and upgraded per our servers recommendations for added menu choices. The drinks were impeccable and they even sent home some delightful banana bread for a next day treat. This could be standard practice or because it was my husbands birthday - unsure on that. We will certainly be back on our next visit to the area! Below are just a couple of the yummy items we were served. We were too busy enjoying ourselves to remember to take pictures!

Celebrated our anniversary here with an amazing vegetarian dinner and some gorgeous views! The staff are such warm and passionate individuals, really looking out for the guests and making everyone feel special. Loved the little surprises they sprinkled throughout our evening - it was a memorable experience!

I wish to give them extra star for their marvelous foods and services provided. I booked Eden for our anniversary. When we arrived the doorman took the valet parking which was included if you're dining at Eden, surprised us and appreciated because it's crispy cold night. The staff warmly welcome us, helped to take our heavy winter coats and let us take the nice window seat. Although it was too dark to have a scenic view, but it's nice to have Christmas lights as background. If you are fine dining eater, I highly recommend the Chef Tasting Manu. The food was cooked with heart and inspiration of Fall. Every dish was carefully designed. Each of them has unforgettable tastes. The only regret is we didn't try wine pairing since we have to drive long way back and the weather was not good. The service team makes you feel special the whole time there. When we done, our suv had been waiting at the front door, nicely warmed. I saw a lots viewer said it's expensive, yes and it worth every penny to be like that!

BEST dining experience!! 6 stars really! First class service and dishes VERY delicious. Of course, view of sulfur mountain and other ranges add to the experience. Tasting menu was excellent and flexible with substitutions. I would have replace oysters with scallops as the oysters were smoked. But still delicious. Halibut was a large size portion and very moist. Even vegetables were mindfully prepared with skins all removed. Interesting amusement Bouche delights. Also had free valet parking and they even sent us home with these cute banana loads! :)

We ordered a 5 course vegetarian tasting menu to celebrate our holiday in Canada from UK and graduation. This did not disappoint, with food of quality which surpasses that of high end Michelin restaurants in the UK. Our waiter was very friendly and kept us amused. Great to eat at a sophisticated place without it feeling stuffy. Oh, and not to forget the stunning mountain views. We'll be back!

My wife and I got a open slot 15min before opening. We absolutely love the experience. The servers make you feel at home. The food is amazing especially the Scallop, foie gras parfait and the beef tenderlion. We have been to many Michellin Star restaurants. So trust me when i say there are many star restaurants that simply can't compete with Eden.

Incredible service and food from what is arguably the best restaurant in Banff. Every course felt intentional and nothing ever felt like the chef was just throwing in expensive ingredients to make it fancy. Even the little parts had great care put into it. I cannot exaggerate how life changing their focaccia was. (Not to mention the server kept sliding us refills) We celebrated an anniversary and they gifted a cake with a chocolate plaque congratulating us. The staff was incredibly attentive and we never had dirty cutlery or empty glasses. They were also kind enough to provide a shuttle back to our hotel and give a parting gift of pumpkin bread. We went in during the off season for the fauna menu so it wasn't hard to get a reservation and there weren't too many other guests. Sadly, since the sun sets so early, there's not really much of a view in the winter but I'm sure in summer it's incredible.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our one year anniversary and we had one of the best dinners ever. Every food item was incredibly tasty and well presented. The food was wonderfully paced. They even had little treats along the way. The view and restaurant- really just the rim rock resort is beautiful and lastly the service was a well deserved 5 stars. From the moment we walked through the door everyone owned their position- the hostesses were poise, Julian our sommelier was well educated and professional, Gustavo was incredibly kind, funny and also professional and educated. They made our visit special. Thank you to you all!

What an experience! Eden was recommended to us by our wedding planner (Sharon at Elope in Banff), we had them as our pre-wedding meal due to being closed on our wedding day. Upon entry we were congratulated for our upcoming marriage, treated like royalty, jackets taken & introduced to all staff members who would be assisting & serving us. Seated toward the far end of the restaurant with a view over the staggered side of the Rimrock Resort, snow cloud starting cover the mount bad when snow started falling it really completed the ‘magical’ experience. Starting off with the perfect vodka martini we then decided to go middle-ground with the food and beverages to avoid adding extra pounds (lbs) on the wedding pictures, so we went for the 5 Course Menu & Classic Wine Pairing but decided to have the Caviar Service (Northern Devine Sturgeon) - it came with sweetly pickled, finely diced red onion, chive emulsion, aoli, and freeze dried egg yolk, the caviar provides the wonderful saltiness, the additional enhancements lifted the flavour, knowing it is the only certified organic caviar in North America was a plus point. On to the Artisanal Breads & Butters (Fermented Butter, whipped goats cheese butter & whipped salted butter - breads were sourdough with oil drizzle, dark rye and a salt with cracked pepper crisp bread in between) - we had seconds as they were so good! But don’t spoil your appetite! We were then provided with an Artichoke Velouté with Caviar as a ‘gift’ from the kitchen, it was so light and creamy, we wish there had been more. On to the main event… Cold Smoked Arctic Char, Caribou Tataki, Icelandic Cod, Dry Aged Brome Lake Duck and Brant Lake Wagyu, followed by Mandarin Eaton Mess and Chocolate Miso… we ended up ordering another Chocolate Miso as my soon-to-be husband was jealous of my chocolate choice, this resulted in me having the Raspberry Entremet, to ensure we had tried as many desserts as possible, all the while loosening our belts! All the dishes were truly exquisite, beautifully crafted and perfectly balanced, the attention to detail was second to known and each dish told a story and the wine helped that story ‘flow’ from dish to dish. The sparkling and desert wine pairings were lovely and the red wine was utterly perfect, but the white wine pairings were not to our taste, they were a little too strong and overbearing for the meal, but we are not trained in wine tasting and were offered alternatives but declined due to the amount of alcohol already consumed so this in no way detracts from the 5* review as each person has their own taste! Our Sommelier was Robert, he was was very friendly and fully explained each wine and the reason he chose it, however we felt he could have ‘loosened’ up a little bit and had a bit more fun with us as guests as he appeared a little stiff. We were served / looked after by Marie-Claude for the duration of the meal, she was a true delight! Taking time to get to know us, we felt we could have a personal conversation & it was great getting to know her background both in her personal life of where she comes from and what she enjoys. Marie-Claude remained extremely professional and attentive throughout, never missing a beat. The added touches which truly made this a 5*, out of this world experience, were things such as fresh hand creams and mouthwash in the bathroom, your napkin being folded as you left the table and re-laid on to your lap as you sit down and the synchronised service. We thought this was it, but we were then gifted with housemade banana bread before leaving and a confectionery assortment, all of which were divine when we got round to eating them, but also upon being handed our jackets, realised they were warm, turns out Eden has a heated jacket closest! To top it all off we were offered one of the Rimrock Resort vehicles and a driver to take us to our hotel as the management were informed by the team that we didn’t drive up. For anyone wishing to have a truly unrivalled dining experience, Eden at the Rimrock Resort is THE place to go, we will be back.

This is an update to my previous review, which I can’t quite find. Eden is the Alberta restaurant most deserving of a Michelin star. Ask for Table K for the best view. If it isn’t too busy, you can even get the private dining room with not too large a group - though it isn’t 100% closed off for a completely confidential business meeting. Service is excellent, and the cooking is high end European for the most part. Cooking isn’t easy at this altitude, and taste changes when you are this high up. The current menu has morels stuffed with beef cheeks, dry aged duck breast with duck jus, and a Hokkaido Cheese Tart. All were very good, as was a pea veloute type amuse and a maple syrup based petit four (their signature). The free bread was good, but the only part of the meal not at a Michelin star level, possibly due to baking at altitude. I also felt a sprinkle of Maldon salt and acid could elevate parts of this experience all the way to a Michelin 2-star. The hours on Google Maps need to be updated. This restaurant currently does not close at 9pm, rather the last seating is at 9pm. Also, the menu is confusing in terms of what you can pick for a 3 course dinner, and extra cost for additions and substitutions could be a little more clear (Japanese wagyu isn’t actually that much more $ to substitute as a main course, although you only get 2oz). Stunning views, great service, a hushed and dignified dining room, and Michelin star worthy food. They even offer complimentary parking and a baked good to take home when you leave. Bravo to the entire team!

We loved our experience at Eden. Creative food, great service and even better views. We tried the 8 course tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed them. The chefs are creative with flavour combinations, we especially enjoyed the caribou tartare and Hokkaido scallop. Unfortunately the duck was slightly too salty, and the wagyu beef wasn’t tender enough (if you’ve had wagyu from Japan, you won’t enjoy it much). Service was great and they were also able to recommend wine pairings. We would definitely recommend for a special occasion or splurge

Had the pleasure of trying the 8 course tasting menu recently and it did not disappoint! Each course was well balanced and the service was easily some of the best we’ve had in Canada. The pleasant staff made this dinner a memorable experience. Give these guys a Michelin star already!

Had the most incredible birthday vacation dinner here. Each course was divine and the views are amazing. The service is top-notch - they even provided included private transportation back to our hotel.

Truly amazing! We ate here during our stay at the Rimrock Resort and we were extremely pleased with our dinner. It's expensive, but really not that much if you consider the quality of the food and service and what you pay in other regular restaurants in tourist locations. We're tried several other gourmet restaurants before but this was by far the best one so far. We loved every single dish. Everything tasted like perfection and there was not that foam craziness that you find in a lot of places or strange flavours that completely alter the original tastes. Yes, the food is exquisite but tastes like it should and everything just goes wonderfully together. The staff was also 5 stars. We made a reservation and it's best to do so. Since we were traveling, we wore just a nice shirt and dress, but nothing too fancy, and people seemed to adopt a casual or casual chick look, which we loved, since it's not pretentious and you can enjoy your fantastic meal comfortably. Highly, highly recommended! It's an experience in itself.

This restaurant is very highly rated and it's well deserved. I attended a wedding reception here and it was just perfect. Intimate but with good lighting and it was very easy to talk to my neighbours at the table. The food was exquisite. Many small dishes served in sequence to equal one truly fabulous gustatory experience.

It’s the best Canada has to offer. But to global standard of best, it’s a bit lacking. Presentation is not as sophisticated. Food is generally overcooked by my standard. Service is friendly but lack sophistication. We were wondering who’s making a public speech w such loudness, and it’s the manager showing off his knowledge w the guests. I guess it’s as good as Canada has to offer

Excellent food and excellent service. My wife and I had the 5 course vegetarian option. Every plate was visually beautiful and tasted wonderful. The service staff were also very pleasant and their attention to detail very impressive. Would recommend, especially for special occasions.

Another amazing dinner at Eden! The food was delicious, coming out at the pace that we were eating with the service staff always attentive to your needs. We opted for the wine pairings which were spot on and really enhanced the dishes, a testament to Robert the sommelier's extensive knowledge of food and wines. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff really make you feel special. I would highly recommend anyone looking to enjoy one of the best dining experiences of their life to allow the staff at Eden make it a special one for you!

Absolutely incredible experience. Truly a perfect symphony between the professionalism, accommodations and personalities of the front of house staff and the pure beauty and mastery of gourmet food from the chefs. Without a doubt one of the best dining experiences of my life.

We had a lovely special dinner here while we visited Banff. My husband and I decided to do the grand degustation but I had the vegetarian one so we could share and experience both. It was amazing and given the chance again I would choose the vegetarian hands down! Every dish was so delightful and surprisingly delicious with an assortment of flavours that blended so well together. Fresh and interesting tastes and beautiful presentations. We would definitely return, wonderful service and impressive views. It was a fantastic experience to celebrate my husband's birthday. Highly recommend especially for a special occasion.
